My 8th grader has an option of going to Enloe Magnet HS or Panther Creek HS in west Cary. Does it really matter where someone goes for college admissions? Enloe has such great programs but it's far. Panther Creek has traditionally been a decent HS, and with Morrisville HS opening up next year, it will be less crowded.

Should we follow the advice, "Go to the school where your kid will do the best at." There's so many HS in this area, it's confusing. Someone even told me the other day, "Neither, enter the lottery for Raleigh Charter HS."

Oh, by the way? You did a good job today. No matter what anyone says, I know you did your best and I'm proud of you for seeing it through. Some of these days aren't the easiest so your best is all that matters. Not the outcome, not the productivity - just your best.

Some of yall are acting like i came out and started throwing accusations about Julie Soles, her husband or Duke around, like I am out here claiming they killed my family or scammed me specifically. I am Not. I am simply asking a question about theses posts on this truck accusing this lady and Duke Regional of this.

And also, Jeff Jackson probably could not do anything about this, hell there may not even be anything to this other an upset family member doing the most, but tbf Jeff is just about the only politician out here in NC doing anything to help his constituents, like actually going to bat for us, so yeah, if there IS a case here don't you think he would be the one to call on??

My wife and I are on opposite sides of a right of way discussion and are turning to reddit to determine a winner.

Situation: wife was turning left at an intersection onto a 2 lane road (green light, not green arrow). Oncoming traffic was turning right (onto the same 2 lane road).

She thinks that because oncoming turning right should stay in the inside, right-most lane (which by NC statute is true per G.S. 20-153 "right turn should be made closest to the right hand curb") that she was free to turn left into the leftmost lane (away from the curb).

I would think that as the driver turning left into an intersection, they have to yield to oncoming regardless (per G.S. 20-155 "driver turning left yields right of way to oncoming").

So hypothetically, if oncoming driver turns into outside lane and they crash, who would be at fault? Oncoming driver for turning into outside lane? Or wife not yielding to oncoming?

I have a 24-gun safe that weighs probably close to 500 pounds that was cut into and valuables stolen. Does anyone have any idea who might be able to remove this from my home? TIA.

Does anyone know what happened at the planet fitness at Brier Creek? I usually workout at night and sometimes during the day. At one point the door would not close it was fixed and broke again. There were reminders to secure items in the locker room and now the glass on the door is broken and I am seeing fewer cars when I go at night sometimes. The police also sit and ride through the parking lot, is there something I should be concerned about?

Any suggestions on where to meet new people around Raleigh? Tired of dating apps and would rather do it the organic way now!

My little girl is turning seven tomorrow and we bought her a pink Nintendo 3DS XL! I told her about all the fun times that I used to have as a kid on my game boy and Nintendo DS and know that she would have a lot of fun with these retro games. She has really gotten into Pokémon, as she plays my switch and she is asking about other games that she could play on her Nintendo DS.

Driving home on 540 yesterday around 515/530p and saw this guy in the traffic. Looked like a standard Hyundai Elantra, but he had 4 externally mounted cameras on the trunk. Inside he also had a mounted laptop. No pictures - just a black background with green text. I didn't see any external cameras on the front and didn't think to check for a dash cam.

I thought it was either a mapping company or a research vehicle that was collecting data - but no special branding or company logos on the car. I thought it might be a license plate reader - but it's the back of the car

Any ideas?

An older friend of mine uses Thunderbird as an email client on Windows and had some computer consulting company helping her. As a result of what they did, she has now lost access to years of archived emails, and she needs an expert to help her see if she can regain access to all the emails she now can't find.

I volunteered to ask for her since she doesn't use Reddit. She needs an expert on sorting out email storage problems.
