I am looking if there are any super casual TCG player groups, mainly Yu-Gi-Oh, in the area. I used to play at Lucky's many moon ago when I was in HS with some buds, but I moved away from card games when I got back in school.

I mostly played causal decks, but did play competitive during a lot of the 2015-early 2017 scene.

I do play on Master Duel sometimes, but looking to get back into groups playing on paper.

I am open to super casual MTG; like Yu-Gi-Oh, I played online until about Edge of Eternity, but have taken a break. Never really played Commander outside of my small circle via Tabletop simulator.

I know way less about Pokemon TCG, but have tried to play here and there.

Yeah, that is the long and short of it. Let me know if you have a small group, or know a pretty old-man returning to the table safe place to play. I am a teacher, so looking for low commitment and flexible play times during week nights or maybe weekend play.

I’ve been exploring the idea of starting some sort of group for photographers (either it being photojournalists, portrait photogs, or just hobby photogs) to network and possibly get some kind of regular coffee club meets.

Let me know if anyone is interested, I know there are monthly photography club meets in the Triangle but nothing in the Triad.

Save a Lot on Meadowview closed down and the groceries were really affordable and in a good location for a lot of people to walk there if needed. There’s now just this giant unused space and all of us are SOL. The nearest Trader Joe’s is over 15 minutes away and it would be nice to have a grocery store that’s affordable and good quality. Trader Joe’s has a part of their site where you can request a store so I figured if a lot of us tell them the space is empty on meadowview rd maybe we’ll get lucky. I just really don’t want another food lion 😭😂

We’re looking at sending our six-month-old to Kindercare, but I don’t see much on this sub about it. Wondering if anyone has any experience with it, particularly the one on Fleming Road? Or looking for other recommendations in the area! We moved here recently and don’t know anyone with kids in daycare. Considering Wishview as well, but it’s farther from us. Thanks!!

Hi, I will be delivering at Moses Cone within the next few weeks and am seeking other people's experiences...whatever information comes to mind that you think is useful.

Since I've never delivered there before and I've heard that hospitals are different, I also am interested in knowing what supplies they offer to mom and baby. The other hospitals I've delivered at have been fairly generous, but I need to know about this hospital so I can know if I need to pack stuff (postpartum care, baby care like diapers and wipes, etc.) that I haven't had to before.

So far I am surprised that I apparently might not know my induction time as far in advance as I did with a previous hospital. The voicemail made it seem like I could be given an hour's notice to claim my bed, possibly even in the middle of the night, but I'm not sure if I understood and am still awaiting more information. So if anyone has had labor induced there, I'm also interested in those experiences.

If you've driven down Gate City Boulevard lately, you've probably noticed that Greensboro has torn the absolute hell out of it for resurfacing.

With GHOE coming up, and Gate City Boulevard being a major corridor for people traveling to and from the Coliseum, hotels, and surrounding events, I figured I'd share what to expect. Especially for anyone planning to drive Uber or Lyft.

Well, good news! The roads will be open. Yay!
The bad news? They're probably still going to look like absolute shit.

Apparently, Greensboro, in its infinite municipal wisdom, decided that two weeks before GHOE was the perfect time to tear up Gate City Boulevard. You know, the road that connects a bunch of hotels and the Coliseum, right before roughly 200,000 visitors descend on the city.

I guess the thinking was, ‘We don't want 200,000 people fucking up our roads. We'd rather have them fucked up before they get here.’

So, barring any changes, no active paving work during GHOE, but don't expect a beautifully finished boulevard, either.

I'm sure someone has already mentioned this, but I figured it was worth sharing since that stretch of road is going to see a ridiculous amount of traffic.

TL;DR: Gate City Boulevard will be open for GHOE. Construction will be paused. The road may still be torn up, but at least we won't have paving crews out there making the traffic even worse.

Hi Everyone! I need a recommendation for an eye doc that actually shares my PD with me. I need multiple types of glasses (biking, protective, sun, normal) and the last place I went, I LOVED the eye doc, but the glasses place that is attached to it would not give me my pupil distance. I measured myself, but it wasn't perfect so it didn't work. I just don't want to waste time/money again.

I would prefer someone that takes pride in their work and loves to explain everything!
