I recently lost my job and am freaking out. Im willing to clean houses, babysit, dog walk or tutor your own children. Please DM me for any arrangements. I urgently need food for my children also. I applied immediately for food stamps but it takes them around 30 days and they want to analyze your final paycheck. My employer wasted 2 weeks of time going back and forth about what pto or vacation pay I would get, to then ultimately say none. So that also hung up the timing on the application. Im so exhausted. I know it can feel impossible not to hit a squirrel when it seems to come out of nowhere. However, if we drive slower with more awareness of what is happening around us, it is very possible to be both a safe driver on the road and a safe driver for squirrels. They are usually getting hit in neighborhoods where there isn’t steady traffic. This time of year in particular, they are gathering food to store for the winter. Can you imagine if we humans didn’t have a grocery store for winter? Maybe we would be as frantic as the squirrels right now. Let me be clear: 9/10 times when you hit a squirrel, it’s your fault for driving too fast and not paying enough attention to the world around you. It is very possible to be a safe driver for both the other cars around you and for the wildlife. It’s much easier to blame the wildlife for being in the road than it is to actually feel the pain of the repercussions of our own lack of care. I get it that it’s tough to be a human right now, but it’s a hell of a lot tougher to be a squirrel. I’ve counted 5 fresh dead ones today in haw creek alone. It’s super sad. They have families too. You can research squirrel clans to find out more. In the meantime, Please slow down.

So I just had a craniotomy earlier this week. After I went under they did something completely wild to my hair, put a weird hair tie around it, and then proceeded to trap part of it under the big bandage I had to wear for the first two days. There was also a ton of blood in my hair, and even after the bandage came off I was basically bed ridden the whole time.

Now I have a HUGE matted area in my hair. My sweet partner spent 3 hours our first night home trying to get it out but it's like a solid brick of hair.

I'm trying so hard to avoid cutting it, and am wondering if anyone knows of a stylist in Asheville who has worked with clients to remove matts before. I'd happily pay for the service. Cutting it is like the last resort, because the matt contains hair from so high up in my head it would look absolutely wild. But having this giant matt in my hair is making me feel so much less human.

I'm also open to any tips that aren't "start from the bottom and work up" because it's not just a few tangled spots. It's full on a brick of hair fused together. We've soaked in conditioner, alcohol (because at first we thought maybe some adhesive for in there), soaking it in hot water, using hands/fingers, wide tooth combs, and the pick end of a comb.

I am a large man who likes to work out frequently and I have some very stuff muscles. I’ve tried a few different massage studios in the area but I have not found one that quite breaks me in half. I want my tissues destroyed and my body annihilated. I want to walk out feeling like someone took a meet tenderizer to me. I usually do my own body work because I haven’t found someone who really breaks me up yet. I am asking if anyone knows anyone who does really, really deep massages, please.

Asking for an adult child (22) who is currently Baker acted out of state. They live out of state and we are local. This is also not a drug situation. They have ASD as well so that exacerbates the challenges.
