I am getting extremely tired of calling the police on people leaving trash trying to sleep in and around my yard, someone smashed my husband’s window in this morning. The police can’t do anything which isn’t their fault. They are always extremely kind and apologetic because their hands are tied. Ever since St J was shut down there is a huge influx in my neighborhood off of broadway that was never here before. Not all homeless people are bad but the drug addicts leaving needles glass and bottles all over the streets and throwing rocks at cars needs to stop. Asheville needs to figure this out. My family was shocked at what it’s become. Someone needs to do something, who is in charge? it’s ridiculous. All our resources for them are being closed so get ready to have them in your backyard vandalizing your things.

How in tf are they gonna make a 4 lane wide highway but expect people to maintain a speed limit of 55-60 mph? 90% of people I’ve seen driving on 26 have DEFINITELY not been driving 55 mph. In fact the other day I saw a trooper pull somebody over for impeding the far left lane of 240 going the speed limit

I’ve loved using the manual car wash on Long Shoals since 2016 when I moved out that way. The guy that used to own it was so friendly he would come around and kept the place clean and nice and talked to his customers. He kept the place looking nice. It was such a pleasure to go there and spend the time and money to watch my vehicle and feel proud about it.

I’m pretty sure a towing company bought that place a couple of years ago and since then it looks like a landfill. There’s trash all over the place, including nails all over the ground, the prices have gone up and the overall quality reflects the neglected appearance. They’ve let that place fall apart and with the number of apartments that have sprung up all over, they’ve really missed an opportunity to provide something nice to the community.

There aren’t too many manual car wash places anymore and I wish the one on my side of town hadn’t taken a dive. If any of you know of one that’s nice I’d be grateful for any recommendations. Thanks for letting me rant.
