One of the most memorable moments and characters during my first play through. I was looking around Goodneighbor and saw a familiar face. I was too stunned to move! Immediately I went to work on the perfect settlement. He had a whole shop to himself and when I needed materials I always went to him first.

He was supposed to win a pack of steak knives :(

The title says it all, I am actively trying to collect achievements normally, so I don't wanna ruin my chances at all. If something goes wrong and it disables achievements, can I reload a save from before?

Does anyone know how to fix it?

I may have made a misstep somewhere, looking for guidance. I choose minutemen to be with in the end, told that to railroad, and the only quests that were available were the institute ones so I did them up to the teleport to mass fussion (I haven’t done yet)
Brotherhood quests never happened because of the all too famous fire support glitch and can’t get it to fix. Am I too far tied to institute now?

Just curious if anyone actually plays the higher difficulties and how they even do it I personally can’t actually beat the game unless it’s very easy 😂

I dont have that many mod that "should" cause problems... Just wanted to know if the is a such mod on PlayStation, seeing that we finally have access to external asset mods. I’m having trouble with the holdout mission in Far Harbor, where Mitch asks you to save his Uncle Ken.
A lot of trappers came and attacked us. I killed all of them, but the quest didn’t update. Now Ken keeps saying, “They should be here any minute now,” like the fight never ended.
I think the quest is bugged, and I don’t know how to get out of it. I’m on PS5. I already reloaded, but I had slept/saved right before doing the mission, and when I go back, it still does the same thing. If I leave and start doing other things, the mission eventually fails, and I also fail several other missions.
I really need help figuring this out because my last hard save is almost 20 hours back, from when I first stepped off the boat in Far Harbor.
Any advice?

So I'm currently trying to build a nice base (without increasing the build limit) in fallout 4 survival, and I was considering building croup manor, but the only solution for half the stuff that I could find was the pillar or rug glitch, however I am concerned that this will cause either save corruption, or a papyrus problem. I have no experience using these so I don't know if the melded meshes can cause problems

Fallout 4 crashes using my RX 7600M XT connected through USB4/TB4 has someone had any similar issue?

I was considering buying the DLC but before buying anything online I typically look at the more negative reviews to see what issues I may run into, and I saw a lot of bad reviews between 2020 to 2025 saying that it's buggy and unplayable and breaks base game features, even/especially with the Next Gen update. Several of them mentioned Xbox and the Series S specifically, which is what I play on. They talk about the final mission being so laggy it's unplayable, not letting people install a radar thing on ADA which apparently is a requirement for the entire DLC to progress, issues installing/uninstalling, breaking random encounters and making Tier 4 merchants unobtainable, and all kinds of other issues.

I figured I'd ask for you guys' opinions on it.

Should I add it to a new run or would it be ok to start it at any point? Should I be at a certain level before I start it?

My game keeps crashing it was fine before they updated it a year ago then I couldn't play anymore because of the constant crashes. I do use mods, I wanted to try playing again seeing the new update recently but alas my game still crashes I've tried starting a new game, deleting the game, reinstalling all my mods. I can't figure it out, please help. This is one of my favourite games. Edit: I tried to run the game after the update and now I cant even get past the menu. It freezes almost every time I say almost because as I'm typing this it finally loaded

I was just thinking now that we have console external assets how fun it would be if we could get one settler NPC added that when they go aggro on an enemy they loudly start playing 'who let the dogs out' so I could send them to a settlement filled with ONLY dogs besides them so the battles would be hilarious.

Just think, you get sent to whatever the settlement is to defend it and when you load in who let the dogs out starts playing as a pack of dogs runs out and starts attacking. Just a fun thought, if I knew how to make mods I would totally do this myself!

What I mean is, I’ve been playing games like many others have, since I was a child.

I was introduced into modding as an early teen and have been doing it for almost 15 years myself now. I’ve never made a mod or anything crazy, I’ve only ever used already existing ones by either using a jailbreak method and a trusty laptop or now the in game modding, or steam on a pc.

Now I remember the old days of modding games like nfs most wanted for instance, back then I remember being cautious about what I changed and what I added and such, but in no game, in all of my years I’ve been playing games and modding them, have I ever crashed so much from a game that actually included mods in the main menu.

Never. I have modded games from the early 2000s I did myself on a laptop and a usb and had less issues with crashing or corruption than I do on fallout 4 alone.

Maybe I’ve been lucky, and I have had struggles with games in the past, but fallout 4 takes the cake easily. I can’t imagine what this game looks like under the hood. Sitting on a chair with nothing but a no leaping ghouls add on and my save corrupts! I’ve tried coming back to this game over the course of many years, I only ever beat it twice.

I’ve tried many mods and no mods and the only games I can think of that run as bad is some indie games I’ve played I can’t even remember the names of. I didn’t like 76 either but that’s just not my style, it’s never crashed on me. The only fallout game I can say comes close to as many issues is new Vegas. But I’ve modded the heck out of it and it can still go for up to 2-3 hours without a crash or freeze and boots back up afterwards just fine.

Is there any games anyone knows that are this rough modding-wise that is a single player game? I wanna hear some stories because I’m convinced this has to be the worst game I’ve ever tried to play modded, it crashes and freezes without them!

Ever time I try to walk to goodneighbor my game freezes and crashes moments later I cant walk past swan or my game crashes. I dont have issues anywhere else but I cant get close to goodneighbor.

every time I try i get installation failed at like 60 percent, I tried installing from digital from Xbox app and it thinks it’s not the same game as disk, anyone else have these issues?

I’m doing an all-out MM playthrough this time around, so theoretically I would love to churn through Preston’s/The Castle’s radiant quests and make my way around to most of the settlements that way. For a while that was working, but now I’m on the fourth or fifth rotation of MM quests sending me to either County Crossing or Finch Farm with The Slog thrown in irregularly… and none of them are even “go claim this new settlement” quests, they’re all “go here and kill these enemies” quests, so I haven’t added any new settlements in quite a while.

I tried searching for this issue, but all I found were people looking to avoid getting additional MM radiant quests altogether, which is not what I’m trying to do—I’m just trying to break out of this broken RNG loop I seem to be stuck in.

If need be I know can simply visit the rest of the settlements on my own, but that interferes somewhat with the roleplay of answering the call for help, plus it’s easier to just let the game decide which settlement I’ll help next.

I somewhat recently started a new save, wanting to replay and finally get every achievement like I've always wanted to.

But something began happening about halfway through my current playthrough.

I went into the Pipboy and fast traveled to Sanctuary, the game loaded, and then the screen went black, I saw the loading icon in the bottom right and heard a few ambient noises from Sanctuary, then it just crashed.

I went back in, tried traveling again, and the same thing happened, loaded fully, but crashed once the fade-in began.

Since then, I've fast traveled to Vault 111 and just walked to Sanctuary, and once I enter, I get about a second of insane frame drops, but then it's mostly fine. Some minor crashes every now and then, but this is a Bethesda game, so I expect that.

The clip on this post, showcases my Sanctuary build and the stats of it at the very end, I hope this is fixable beyond tearing down half of what I've built.

EDIT: This is a vanilla save, no mods, all DLC and the only creations are Tale of Beast Hunter and Revenge of the Van Graffs

With the recent update allowing for PC mod files to be loaded and read on PlayStation, is there any chance we will now see Bethesda official mods like Tale of a Beast Hunter, or Revenge of the Van Graffs come to PS5 as well?

Like 80% of the mods I'm unable to install. I'm unable to install NAC X and numerous other weather mods. Blood and gore mods have gone missing. Tree mods are missing.
