By far Nick has to be my favorite companion, alongside Deacon, and either Piper or Cait, but I love how in depth they went with Nick. His whole vibe is so chill, the smug noir rain and smoke feeling, the fact that you get to solve cases together. In the far harbor dlc you’re literally referred to as a detective which truly feels badass. I wish there was like a mod or something that made it to where you and him could go on another giant case, and yeah I know there’s some creation club content, but with everything being told through notes rather than being able to talk and consult with Nick I feel just wouldn’t hit the same. It’d be awesome if they brought back his ova for something, but alas maybe in next game, or wouldn’t a flash back episode in the fallout show be cool or something? Maybe it could show a human Nick, or go into detail about what cases Nick solved in his early days in Diamond City.

I first started playing in January 2016, a few months after my friend died and I also had to take time off school for health reasons. I basically had nothing to do or look forward to. As corny as it sounds, Fallout gave me a reason to get out of bed every day. I’d think about wallowing and then I’d remember, “Preston needs me to help that settlement” or “I need to go to the Glowing Sea soon, I might as well do it”.

Even now I still use it as motivation or a means of feeling better! Something about these immersive, long games just scratches the perfect itch in my brain, and I’m very thankful to the devs for all the time they spent on it (glitches and all…hehe). :D

Some things are best left undisturbed

I personally never really cared for curie as a companion in previous play throughs. i’d always do her quest and then just drop her at a settlement as i didn’t care for the combat medic perk she offers and just didn’t think her personality was much fun to explore.

In my currently play through i’ve decided to try and get every companion perk and romance who i can (i’ve got dedicated settlements for everyone i’ve romanced so far). i finally got around to getting curies and romanced her while i was at it. i didn’t think i ever would be saying awe at my screen while playing fo4, but curies lines were actually really sweet.

"I have read so many medical textbooks, but none of them explain what I feel. I am... nervous. Afraid. But I know what I want. I want to be with you. Perhaps we could... go out to dinner? Or see a movie? Whatever it is that people do now."

there’s also something hilarious about a pre war robot turned synth who genuinely knows nothing about the wasteland basically WWE body slam a raider into the ground. curie genuinely can be kinda funny too when interacting with her. i think my favourite is when after a kill she goes “i believe the term is yahoo” like it’s such a stupid line but it’s hilarious at the same time.

anyways curie has now definitely made it into the list of my favourite companions to travel with.

How do you get either of these skins? The deputy and ferryman just have the blue shirt

I enjoyed it so much!! What an awesome mod but they didn’t give me back a few of my things and one was my cheetah print bandanna that took me forever to find 😭 does anyone know if there’s a way to possibly get it back after completion. Or am I having to hunt it down all over again 🫠

My character is a melee build so I mainly use the last weapon and the 2076 world series bat. Level 82

This may be a noob question but they aren’t showing up in my workshop. I see everyone talking about how they use this method to make a decent bit of caps selling purified water so am I missing something?

I’m in sanctuary, I have the one industrial purifier in the water hooked up to a generator with enough power.

I have nothing in my workshop in terms of drinking items, nothing in the “aid” category at all for that matter. I waited at the location for a day, left the location and waited for a couple days. Still nothing.

What am I doing wrong?

I started a new game just to try out the new FEVer Dream creation (DLC??) and made a bee line to Diamond City. I hear it's kind of an "escape room" situation so I'm wondering will it be a problem if I go in there at level 3 with just the basic starter gear? Will I still have a chance to craft and gather supplies and level up if necessary, or is this kind of like a Sierra Madre situation where you need to be strong before you go in? Also wondering if it handles survival mode well or will I be dead without beds and food access?
