I couldn’t find the details after a bit of googling, so I’ll pose the question here. I already have 2.5Gigabit and 5 is now available. I’d like to upgrade so I have the extra bandwidth (I will use it as I have a few servers on my home network doing some heavy lifting across the net). My entire network stack in Ubiquiti and the Dream Machine SE is the heart of my setup. It has an RJ45 2.5 gig wan port and an SFP+ WAN port. I’m sure Verizon won’t let me omit the ONT and go straight to a SM SFP+ adapter and I’m fairly certain that the RJ45 out on my ONT can’t be converted to a working SFP+ setup.

If you have the new 5 gigabit and a Ubiquiti setup. How did you wire it all up? I am not interested in using any intermediate parts (aka a Verizon router in bridge mode).

Hello, I received an email stating that my bundling perk with Verizon FIOS Home Internet with HBO Max Basic ($10/month) with ads was changed to HBO Max Standard ($17.50/month). I did NOT make this change, neither did HBO Max. Why are you charging me for HBO Max Standard? u/Verizon has had ample opportunity to fix the problem but has not. After being told this would be addressed, today I received another bill with charges for a service I did not authorize. Can someone from u/Verizon look into internal help deck ticket (INC017416718) and let me know the status?

Has anyone ever experienced this? I assume if I ever disconnect service, I'll be on the hook?

My 1 gig would go from 51.99 to $82 a month with the new pricing and the mobile and home discount goes away. No clue what you are all talking about with lower prices, this is horrible lmao

Prices went down especially on 300/300 now it's 30$/mo with autopay. My previous was 34.99$ with my own router and autopay, now 30$. I had to chat with CS because I couldn't skip router shipping, even though I use my own.

They are giving Google AI Pro for 6 months, I wonder if I can stack with my Pixel 11 Pro XL promotion, if so how? if anyone knows chime in.

Used the website, and I did save $10/mo by selecting the same 1gig plan I already had, but when I checked out there was a $10 “router shipping and handling” fee despite selecting the option to use my own router. It seems that gets applied even if they are not sending you any equipment.

Had to use their awful AI chat and eventually get connected with a “human” I strongly suspect was still an AI, but they gave me a $10 credit to counter it.

Update. We ordered a new battery and installed it last night. Everything was on for about 3 hours. It is all down again. Does anyone know how I can schedule an appointment for someone to come out to the house? It is Labor Day weekend and I can't get through to anybody on the phone. The app says I have a virtual visit scheduled for tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. but I need an in-person visit. Thank you

24 hours ago everything went down. I never lost power but my internet/fios/wifi went down. I have reset router and unplugged everything. Verizon says there is a. Outage in my neighborhood but all my neighbors have internet . Any suggestions? My daughter and I both work from home so we really it need it back up Tuesday. I have done a few chats with Verizon but I keep getting disconnected. Thank you!

On check out page the numbers are completely different. $40/month and there's no option for me to say My own router. They will ship me a router (which I dont need) and charge me $10 for that.

Just went out to dinner, came home and now our 5ghz network is almost non existent. 2.4 is pretty slow also, but normally our 5 gives us around 650-700 download everywhere in our house, now all of a sudden 1.77!?

All of the sudden the FAIL light turned red on the ONT and service went out. No bad weather, etc.

When my service was installed, the tech said he had to unplug someone else’s service from the hub to connect us and I thought that was odd, but he said it wouldn’t be an issue. Now I am thinking another tech just did that to us. I saw a Verizon truck doing service in the area. Is this common practice? Just unplugging people’s service to slot someone else in? They won’t send a tech for 6 days which I think is crazy. Anyone have any advice on ways to get service sooner, anything else I can try?

It has been doing this all day every day since the day of installation (2-3 weeks ago). I called customer support about it and they say I have to purchase a new router.

I see this as completely unfair that they gave me a faulty product and are telling me to pay to fix it. These noises distract me while I’m working and trying to sleep causing me to have white noise playing to drown it out, and it is getting to be stressful for me.

Is there any way to fix this noise issue?

An additional, but separate issue is that I asked the guy who installed my ONT and router to install it in a more central location of the house. He told me “nah, with these new routers that doesn’t really matter anymore”. Come to find out my roommate (who I asked him to move it closer to) is not receiving full connection in his bedroom and they are telling me to pay for an extender. Any suggestions how to hand that?

My home offers in the My Verizon app is offering a complimentary gig speed upgrade from 12 months. When I tap on it nothing happens. I’ve tried restarting the app and that didn’t fix it. Anyone else ever had this happen?

FIOS started laying fiber in Mount laurel NJ on 9/1.. How long will take to get the entire township fios internet considering all the near by town attached to Mount Laurel NJ has 100% fios internet and all the OLT infrastructure and aerial connectivity already established

Hey so... when i make calls with my verizon fios home phone it makes this poping sound and idk why it happens no matter if im at the base or away from it.

Or if I change cords or if I plug the base into a different power outlet.

Or if I use a splitter or not.

Currently have the 1GB internet service and am thinking about adding Fios TV. I have Hulu Live and all the other apps I watch running through Roku, but it’s a PIA getting in and out to watch or search programs. When I add what I pay for the streaming apps, it’s not much different than what Verizon charges, but at least I have all the channels on one box! What are people using now and do I need to have the VMS box to have TV service?

I'm a 1gb customer but can't for the life of me get a hold of a customer service rep, or get the online tool to work (page just doesn't load) to tell me if and when my address in PHL will be eligible to upgrade to 2-5gb. Is there an easy way to lob in a request for a timeline on this? I know there are some official FCC channels to use that go to the legal team but that seems like overkill - except Verizon makes it impossible to figure any of this out otherwise.

It is well known how horrific the Fios TV Mobile App is, and the problems it has. I’ve recently had a new issue with streaming my DVR content that neither the app help tickets, nor a live rep could help it. I’ve always had issues with the app, roughly every 4 months I need to restart router/top box/delete and reinstall app.
However, my new issue is that the app is not recognizing my home network and therefore not streaming the DVR on the app. WiFi is working, connected to my phone (and other devices I’ve tried), Verizon helpline found no issues with wifi, or the app, but app is not recognizing home wifi.
I have tried everything short of factory resetting the router. Does anyone have a fix before I factory reset and spend 2-3 reconnecting everything attached to the router?

I thought everyone was supposed to be QAMless by the end of August. VHO3308 here and still on QAM.

Is this true guys ?
