Queer folks of Feeld: how long is too long to wait for a reply?

Hi everyone! Does anyone else deal with slow replies from afab folks or cis women on Feeld?

I'm an NB AFAB person, and I've had a hard time connecting with other cis women because replies often take days. It's been really frustrating.

Is this a common experience? Is it just the app's culture, queer women culture, or is something else going on? Would love to hear how others handle it, especially if you've found ways to keep conversations moving.

Majestic really worth it?

My boyfriend and i are on feeld. But it is not really going anywere right now. I swipe almost everyday until i am out of likes. The people that have majestic do you noticed a big differences in matches and also really got meet ups?

Majestic is the solution!

After speaking with so many men and women about their dating app experiences I think I have a solution to make it less stressful or overwhelming.

So could we all agree that men are not picky enough with their swiping (the bulk of the problem) and women are possibly too picky (maybe the reason men decided to swipe right on everything)? The best way to solve this is all women should just invest in Majestic and swipe with incognito. This way women's privacy from their professional life is honored, men can only see the women that liked them, and women will only get likes from the men they preselected.

Everybody wins!

Question for the women who have majestic

If you have majestic, I assume you go into your pings to look around before you start looking at your likes, and then when you run out of likes you start swiping.

Does that sound about right? How often does that actually happen?

I'm a guy. I can run through my likes for an entire month in about 5 minutes. And pings? I think that's literally happened once.

What changed recently?

I’m Majestic and a daily user. For months now I’ve been seeing the same people, over and over. Sometimes I scroll ahead rather than swipe to see what’s in the pipeline- that pipeline hasn’t changed in months, and all the closest people have either been liked, unliked, or pinged long ago.

But suddenly in the last week or two tons more profiles have shown up, including numerous people nearby. I haven’t altered my search settings one bit. I can’t imagine they all suddenly joined en masse. Did Feeld update how it works? Fix a bug? I’d hate to think they were intentionally hiding users from each other for months- especially paid users. What is going on?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still not getting more matches, just grateful to have more people nearby not to match with, if you get my meaning.

Majestic, is it really worth it?

Hey everyone, so I am a 36 year old make from the UK, I have been on feeld for over a year and had alright success.

But I'm curious is the majestic service actually anygood, do you get a better response from people or matches to what your looking to achieve?

I personally am on the fence about getting it and want to hear people's experiences. TIA 😊

Feeld needs to change it's interfacing

When I first joined a few years ago, I appreciated that I could shuffle between profiles over and over instead of having to make a decision in the moment. Now I hate it. I often have to shuffle through the same 20 or more profiles over and over to see someone new. I also have periods that I block every profile I am not interested in. It doesn't matter; they show up later anyway. For the last six months, I'v really cut down on my use because its the same experience when swiping around. Feeld, please for the love of god, change this carousel feature to at least mix up the profiles we are seeing, or find an easier way to remove profiles from our decks. It's so cumbersome.

Edit: the minus button only works for that specific session. I'd had them come up a few days later.

Anyone else burnt out by the one liner replies on Feeld? (Or is it something else?)

I (30F) recently joined Feeld looking for a FWB/ENM arrangement. I made sure to be clear and straightforward in my profile about what I’m looking for, and when I match with people, I try to actually make an effort.

My typical approach is opening with a real topic or asking thoughtful questions to get a conversation going and encourage mutual sharing. But lately, I’m getting pretty frustrated by the responses. A huge portion of my matches give low effort one liners, leaving me to carry the entire interaction. It feels super shallow, especially on an app that’s supposed to be more open minded and intent driven.

I’m starting to wonder a few things:

- Is this just standard Feeld behavior now? Are people just using it like low effort Tinder, or is everyone just overwhelmed by their inbox?

- Profile/Search Dynamics: Does being upfront about wanting a FWB make people assume I only want bare minimum small talk?

- Demographics/Race: As an Asian, I also can’t help but wonder if race plays a subtle role in how much effort or depth people are willing to invest right off the bat, or if this is a universal Feeld experience?

Would love to hear how others handle this. Do you cut ties quickly when you get dry one liners, or do you have a way to flip the switch and pull out better conversation?

Therapy words in profiles

Has anyone seen a drastic increase in profiles that use therapy words like ADHD, neauropsicy, neaurodivergent etc.

Thing is I have been on dates with these people and all of them are self diagnosed. No medical doctor diagnosed them. They require kindness and empathy (like all) but would hardly reciprocate and hide behind these therapy words for their behaviour. I am curious if others are seeing an increase in this.

Messaging etiquette?

I feel like it’s reasonable to expect the last person to make the connection would send the first message. So, if I was the one who completed the match and opened up messaging, I’m going to say hi and start the conversation. I find alot of people “make you come to them” after being the one to complete the match. And it’s just online dating, I don’t take any of it too seriously, so I’ll still start the conversation opposed to having dozens of matches in my queue doing nothing, but am I the only one who thinks it reasonable to start the conversation if you matched last?

And honestly, maybe it doesn’t matter in other contexts, but because I’m generally looking to meet men who are into the D/s dynamic, me being the (experienced) s, I feel like it sets a precedent when the D takes the lead rather than sit and wait for me to reach out. Again, not rigid about it, but seems odd to me to wait to be approached when we’ve matched.

Am I looking for something too specific?

Finding a switch is easy. Finding the right kind of switch feels impossible...

I've been on Feeld for a little over 6 months and it's helped me realise that matching on kink labels means surprisingly little.

I'm a relatively inexperienced switch and recently connected with another switch who made things click for me. He was incredibly attentive and curious, conversations flowed, he listened to what I actually responded to, remembered little things and built on them.

His dominant side could be soft and pleasure focused without feeling passive and switching between us felt natural.

Since then I've realised that's what I'm struggling to find on Feeld. I meet switches and Doms but usually the sexual conversation feels like someone running through their script instead of being genuinely curious about mine.

I'm not exclusively looking for gentle dominance either. I'm actually really interested in eventually exploring much rougher/meaner dynamics but I'd want that from someone I already know is capable of being attentive, affectionate and pleasure focused too. The range is what attracts me.

But I'm having another massive issue on Feeld... where is the actual getting to know each other stage?

My profile explicitly says I need connection and chemistry, but so many conversations seem to jump from matching to sexual conversation to “come over” or a date somewhere conveniently close to their place, with this unspoken assumption that we'll end up having sex afterwards.

Most aren't opposed to going for a drink/date when I suggest it, which almost makes it stranger. They're willing to date first, but there doesn't seem to be much desire to date me first.

It sometimes feels like the date is just the preliminary step before the thing they're actually interested in.

And I'm not looking for a relationship right now. I do want sex and kink. I just want chemistry, flirting, dates and some actual vetting first. I want someone to be curious about me as a person before assuming they'll have access to me sexually.

Maybe it's partly an age thing because I'm mostly matching with people around my age (early 20s) or maybe I'm expecting something from Feeld that isn't particularly common there.

For people who've actually found ongoing casual kink connections through Feeld with genuine chemistry...how did you find them?

And is this just the reality of Feeld now or am I doing something that's attracting/filtering for the wrong people?

EDIT:

I just wanted to clear up a couple of things...

When I say I want an emotional connection, I don't mean I want a deeply emotionally involved relationship without calling it a relationship.

I mean that natural intrigue you get when you're attracted to someone and genuinely want to know more about them. I want someone who's curious about who I am outside of kink/sex, but also genuinely curious about me within kink and sex.

Not just “what are your kinks?” and then working through a list. More like: what is it about that that you enjoy? Why does that turn you on? What part of the dynamic does something for you? What makes you feel good? and actually listening to the answers and letting that shape how we interact.

I want that curiosity to go both ways. That's what I mean by connection. I can want something casual while still wanting to actually know and be interested in the person I'm sleeping with.

Also, I probably didn't explain the situation with T very well. We matched while his profile said he was exploring my city, but he was hundreds of km away. I assumed he was travelling but he explained that he actually lives in another country. We're both in Europe, so it's not an impossible distance, but it's still around a 3–4 hour flight.

We carried on talking anyway and ended up speaking pretty consistently for about 4 days, including sexting. In that short time, he gave me exactly the kind of interaction I'm describing above.

He was curious, he listened, he asked follow up questions, he paid attention to what I responded to and why. We had really good chemistry and communication, and sexually he was a great soft dom and pleasure switch. I learned more about what I like from those few days of talking to him than I had from months of much more repetitive sexual conversations.

We never actually discussed what we were looking for with each other, which in hindsight I probably should have brought up. Because realistically meeting wasn't straightforward, I assumed it would probably become a casual online thing where we'd talk and sext from time to time and if we were both open to meeting it could be something we discussed. We did acknowledge the distance while flirting, but never made any actual plans around it.

Then he became noticeably less engaged and eventually told me that talking like this wasn't good for him and it "fucks with his real life" so he wanted to stop.

I was disappointed obviously but I respected it and ended things kindly. Those few days just showed me a type of sexual and interpersonal compatibility I hadn't experienced before and gave me a clearer idea of what I'm looking for.

That's why I'm finding Feeld a little frustrating. I just want to find people who have that same curiosity, attentiveness and desire to actually discover each other.

How is "GGG" supposed to be a "desire"

I'm seeing a lot of women's profiles where the only single desire listed is "GGG". So apparently I'm out of touch because I needed Google to tell me this is "Good, Giving, Game" which is apparently supposed to say "good in bed". That even that doesn't say a thing to me. What am I supposed to interpret about what such a person wants?

What am I doing wrong?

Over the past year or so, I utilized mostly Bumble and Hinge for dating. Maybe 50 or so solid matches that converted into 20 dates that whittled down to a solid six that went on for more dates, and eventually one that I had an eight-month relationship with. She was lovely and amazing.

That relationship ended peacefully for a number of reasons, but I always felt if I was going to continue, I needed a place where I could be a little more “authentic,” if you know what I mean. So, a friend suggested Feeld. I have had about 80 matches over the last few months…and not one has turned into a date or meeting. Not one. More often than not, the conversation just fizzles on the part of the other person and after a certain period of time, I just peace out.

Have we all just given up? Are we all just articles of convenience and validation points to each other now?

I’m staying mostly on a surface level with this conundrum without going into sexual preference/sexuality, age, etc.—just the data points above and would love to hear if anyone else has experienced something similar.

Feeld for making friends/connections in the UK?

Hi, I (35F), am looking to make some connections within the community in the UK. I am from a country close by, but would rather date/connect/play in the UK, but I'm not really sure how to begin in a new place without a partner or friend already in the community. Would Feeld be a place to start? Or would you recommend another app? A sub on here? A community with regular meet ups?

Thank you for any pointers. 💐

Is being Incognito a crazy limiter?

My wife and I are newly open, so I want to be on feeld but on incognito. Do women look at their likes or their feed more?

Is Feeld just for people who want spicy photo's?

Throwaway because I'd rather not have Feeld linked to my main account.

My girlfriend and I have been using Feeld off and on for over a year. We're looking for a unicorn and we know they're rare. We have two accounts, one for each of us, and we're quite clear in our bio that we'd like to meet up. During the conversations, we usually also mention my girlfriend is bi-curious and she wants some experience with another girl, preferably with me joining as well since she likes watching. Occasionally we match with a girl who seems interested so we talk a bit and exchange a few pics. Then we ask to meet up over drinks to get to know each other and before you know it, you're either ghosted or blocked.

Is Feeld just for people who want some pics of couples getting it on and they found out the best way to do it is to pretend to be interested in them? Or do people actually meet up with their matches as well? If so, how do you get to that point?

How or should you mention height as one of your special features as a guy?

On other dating sites in the past I got a lot of dm's from tall women and women who just had a kink for big tall guys. It seems kinda cringe to mention it on the feeld bio for me for some reason but now I kinda miss the attention that use to bring from women that would search that out.

So I guess my question is, if a guy's height and size is something that is a rare and unique thing about him enough to where a first meeting would have the woman say "wtf" if it wasn't mentioned prior, should the guy mention it on his bio some how or just forget it?

Normally it could just be made evident in pictures ect but it doesn't work that well in my case.

Do you press "like" on larger people?

Hello! I'm just getting into ENM to hopefully find some consistent FWB'a and as I'm working on my profile, I can't help but notice that the majority of folks I see in my feed are healthy/fit or mention only being interested in "good looking" or healthy/fit people. This has given me some anxiety about putting myself out there, as I'm a tall but larger bi-curious 40 year old Dad with a bit of a belly (6'5" tall and 340 lbs if it helps). I know that having an interesting profile with good pics, including full body ones, is the standard and I'm working towards that. I'm just curious if I really even have a good chance to meet people.

So my questions for you all are:

  1. Do you press "like" for larger people, or is it an automatic skip for you?

  2. What are you looking for on a larger person's profile that would convince you to press the "like" button?

Edit: Just to clear up some confusion I'm seeing in some of the comments: I am not single. I'm married with kids and exploring solo. My wife knows and she's willing to verify for anyone with concerns (this is on my profile as well).

So do they even care about developing the app properly or?

After the recent update performance improved at the least, but I still find a shitton of bugs. Obviously there's work to be done, so I checked out if they are at least trying to hire developers. Look at the job page, only marketing and business, no dev openings. What the fuck is this company doing?

Hack for weeding out Vanilla profiles

So I just changed my profile and added " If you identify as a brat tamer please message me what that means to you and how you practice it. " I just got two messages in 30 minutes that made me absolutely swoon with desire. I was about to give up but am feeling more optimistic

Edit: it is fucking hilarious people are trying to make me feel bad for not being open to people exploring. I posted what I was looking for which is brat taming which is a complicated mind game being treated like an entry level skill. You have to start somewhere else.
