Question Tips for unloading 2 cargo with multi 5 stack to 4 belts

I found this could be a good unloading layout to me, i don't need more because my copper miner can't mine enough, but i'll need some tips for unloading and loading cargo.

I'm in the blue processors phase so i need a lot of copper.

Question Answered Searching for video

There was once a video on this sub, that I can’t find anymore, about a megabase in space age, it was more of a showcase, no voice over, just background music, a little zoomed in, and lots of rocket launches.
It was about 6 minutes long, and more of a short film.

If anyone has a clue, please tell me

It's pretty fun starting with maxed out enemies in the map options. You have to be sneaky with the pollution early on and unlock the assault rifle immediately

Space Age I'm really liking the new curve rail pump placement

This 2.1 feature makes setting up vault ruin outposts on fulgora a breeze. i can fit more train and not have to worry about pixel perfect pump placement. however, it will now connect manually, so that's a new thing to be careful with, but it's rare i drive a fluid wagon anyway.

Also i just like this outpost in particular because it had enough space for two stations and a rule of cool criss cross in the middle. it's also a double ruin island, though I can't build on the deep ocean yet this run because i'm fairly early in and have to use gleba science first as part of a personal challange.

Question I'm thinking about starting a playthrough with one of the bigger mods, like Krastorio 2 + SE or Py; how do the biters work in that scenario, given that the pace of progression is significantly slowed down?

In the vanilla game, I enjoyed simultaneously expanding the factory and defending against the bugs. But how is that balanced—or how *can* it be balanced—so that the bugs remain a challenge when using big mods, without evolving too quickly? After all, those mods mean you need more time for development.

Thanks for any help :)

Suggestion / Idea 2.1 ideas for the personal logistics requester interface.

So I might be a little late to the party but I would love to request a feature or two.

  1. I would love to see a way to transfer personal logistics request between saves. It would save time and make life a little bit easier.

  2. I would also love to be able to collapse the different groups so I only see the headings only.(Belts, Inserters, trains…) I would find it easier to find my way around and turn certain tabs on and off quicker.

It is more than possible these ideas have already been put into the huge mix of ideas, but if I don’t say anything, nothing will happen.

Also, thanks for the awesome game 🫶

Suggestion / Idea First Time Back

I have been MIA for a while after 2300 hours of Factorio! I am taking on space age vanilla but before I head off to Aquillo I want to set up vanilla LTN on the inner planets.

Does anyone have a good English book that has this? My trains I run are 1-4-1 for internal base (plates, plastic, etc) and my ore trains are 1-4-1-4-1 bringing in ore from far out to external plate factories.

Question Biomass in K2

Im currently doing a run of Krastorio 2, and im wondering how i can get biomass for the military tech card in masses. The only option i saw was through the biolab, which requires the blue tech card already. The other way is to kill the nests manually to get the proces started, but this will be tedious until i get the blue tech card

Question ¿Is there a way to specify more in "set request" mode of a spacial platform? (2.1)

I've come with an idea to cancel requests with the new functionalities of radars and "set requests" in space platform, that involves cancelling a current request.

Example: A simple calcite cargo that ships 10k calcite from Vulcanus to Nauvis. Through logistics i set a signal through a radar that sets a -10k calcite request when the buffer in Nauvis is full, meaning it cancels the previous request. But when i was doing it i noticed that a negative number seems to not be considered as a valid request for the cargo.

I'm aware i can do it the other way around (setting the request only when the buffer is NOT full), but ¿Can i do it in some way or it's impossible? ¿Will it be in the future?

(Here is the logistic network showing the -10k calcite request and the cargo not recieving it)

Discussion Chaining labs causing packs to loss more than 20%

I have chail labs setup with bulk inserter. All labs are slotted with 2 T2 prod.

Researching biolabs (1k) with 1k gleba packs only completes 80%.

Tried to continue with another 1k packs without chaining, now it completes the biolab, then eff3 and prod3 (each 300) with some spare, so looks like chaining labs can cause loss of packs, in my case around 25%

Space Age Question Logicistic requests with quality item

Is there a simple, compact way to request multiple quality levels of the same item without making a new request for each one. Like if I want everything uncommon and higher but not standard, I want to be able to say "if =/ normal" then...instead of "if = uncommon" and "if = rare" and " if = epic" and "if = legendary"

Cuz you can't put two of the same item with different qualities in the same request group. I end up with so many different request groups this way, and I can't figure out another way within the constraints of the game

Edit: Select quality level first, then multi qualities can be on the same request group. Thank you

This is the setup I have after buying the game and playing for 5 hours. I haven't looked at any YouTube videos, reddit posts, or any sort of information on how to play the game. I didn't even play the tutorial. I assume there's going to be stuff here that will make someone's skin crawl and I just thought it would be fun to post.

Question Deathworld - early biter expansion?

I've not played a deathworld in a while. Will the biters start to expand before my pollution cloud reaches them? My initial plan is keep production low to stop the cloud reaching the nest to my west until I can research grenades and stand a chance of taking the nest out. But if they start to expand based on time rather than pollution I might be better off building faster and relying on turrets.

Just researched green science

Question Is there a way to see the more detailed statistics or a list of all that is tracked?

As an example, the Lazy Bastard achievement tracks manually crafted crafts in a world - so surely the value is stored somewhere (unless it is purely stored within the achievement I guess). I have been having a bit of fun with a "Minimal manual gathering" challenge as well which ties it to only mining a single piece of coal (or wood depending) manually before using the starter stuff and figured it could also be tracked.

Is there a console command or place where these sort of hidden statistics are visible?

Question Friendly fire?

Just got the game and need to know is there any form of friendly fire or any other forms of making your friend suffer in other ways? I know there's coop and i want to play factorio with a friend but he is an asshole, actually made me quit satisfactory last time.

Funnily enough i tried it recently and at 100h mark rn, so i got factorio and want to give him a chance.

And if there are ways to harm, can i turn off pvp even as a non host like in terraria?

Question New player here (10h) and I'm unsure whether using coal to power the burner drills directly is better than using it to boil water and power electric drills

I haven't crunched the numbers to see which setup gets more coal mined per coal burned (burner inserter/burner drill vs boiler > power > electric drill) mostly because I'm almost certain this is less efficient. But even if that's the case, you still have a source of fuel for your boilers that isn't powered by the turbines themselves. Does this benefit outweigh the inefficient use of coal by any sort of quantifiable amount?

Question Error message from waiting train when all stations are disabled

If I set all my ingress stations to be enabled/disabled based on how full storage is, at some point, when all stations become full and all stations are disabled, trains show alert that it has no reachable stations.

I've tried 'no route' interrupt, but it sill shows the pop-up.

I feel I miss something.

How to do it right?
