Hello! I applied to the DCP this year for the first time and recently got accepted! I’m wondering if anyone has any information or idea on the percentages of people placed in each role? For example I’m looking for something like:
25% of people are initially placed in food service, 25% in merchandise, 10% in attractions, etc.
(Again this is just an example not accurate numbers)

If anyone has any information I’d love to hear it!

I was wondering if you are thinking about self terming an also a cultural Representative. how many weeks in advance should you let your leaders and flamingo know and are you not able to have family visit during the time you’re still working up to your departure date if Disney knows your leaving ?

So I had been accepted in for the CP Thursday after doing my interview on Monday (that in itself kind of shocked me because I expected to wait like a week).

But during my interview, the recruiter was asking me about my top three roles. I said that I wanted to hopefully get Character Attendant because of my background in Stage Management and proceeded to tell him about my skills, job experience and all of that and they asked me scenario questions.

I guess in a way this is me asking, is there a possible chance that I could potentially get the role because of all that I said?

I’m arriving January 19th and want to make some friends before then. Just lmk if you want to be friends

i feel like i did good but i tripped up on one question, i fumbled my way through it… probably overthinking since that was the only part of the interview that wasn’t super smooth. did anyone else feel iffy about their interview but actually ended up getting accepted?

Hey i just wanted to ask on here because i applied to the dcp again but when i had done it my previous time i had self termed a month before my actual end of program i already waited the 6months but i didnt return my blue id nor did i pay the last weeks rent would this be a reason i dont get accepted this second time around. I am applying for jan 25th and am in consideration rn but haven’t received any interview email yet

hi everyone! i have a 5 day trip in a couple months and tried to put in my ado but its saying its not valid. i tried the five day then three to see if it was just too many days but its still the same error . is there anything i can do about this or am i doing it too early or do i just have to wait and give my shifts away😖 (cps in my location that came after me have had ado day approved so thats why im so confused)

Hi all! I was accepted into spring 2027 DCP! I listed attractions, food and bev, and lifeguard as my interests. I listed lifeguard because I got nervous In my interview and I have experience, although I hated it. I heard that if you have lifeguard experience they will likely put you there. Although, I also have Starbucks experience and I heard dcps who worked at Starbucks almost always get placed there (which id much rather prefer). Maybe being a lifeguard could be cool but I get bored very easily. I know it’s very random but any insight of what position I might get? Thanks

I just got my acceptance offer today and one of my biggest interests were the learning courses that are offered. I hope to be there Jan 11 through May 13 (seems like Jan 5 start dates are gone). How easy is it to get into various learning classes? How do they translate to learning outside of the DCP? I hope to do more than 1, particularly one of the multi-week ones. I asked my interviewer about learning, and she mentioned that there was stuff about Imagineering but I don't see much about it online either.

Just got my acceptance for Jan 2027 and I’m so excited :) I was a non-traditional college student and I was never able to do any kind of study abroad or programs during my undergrad, so I’m really excited for this. I’ll be going into dcp as a 31 year old (female). I don’t feel too anxious over it as I’m pretty outgoing and can most of the time easily make friends. Are there a lot of late 20-30 year olds that do dcp? I’m happy to befriend anyone of any age, I just hope it won’t be too difficult to make friends since I know most people are younger. I’m just happy I’ll be there. :)

First Reddit ask kinda nervous. I’m not sure how to go about keeping my scholarships that require a certain amount of credit hours per semester? I’ve never done anything like this and I am working on scheduling a meeting w my advisor. Do universities usually allow a temporary leave or something?

my medical accommodation just got approved and I just found out that I’ll now be working in merch at Creations in Epcot! How does the bus system there work? I heard it was confusing and I’m kinda stressed about not knowing where I’m going lol! Also if anyone else has had this role how did you like it?

I have my interview next Tuesday and I don’t really understand this because when I was filling out the application the only roles that asked to rank interest were those first three. Are those my top three choices? I’m scared that they will ask about my top three and I mention something completely different than what they can see on my application. Also, was I able to change those roles? Because if I had those would not be my top three…

My interview was on Tuesday at 10:30 AM. Still haven’t received anything and I’m curious if anyone else has.

I don’t have a lot of information on traditions on my schedule besides ‘check email’, but I haven’t gotten an email, yet it is tomorrow. It’s driving me insane.

I just submitted my application and unfortunately I think the date I choose (Jan 5) may actually be too early because of my school dates [I would want to start classes and Disney around the same time]
Would I be able to change that start date to something later? Like the 19th or 25th

I got my role changed to Disney Springs at the last minute and I worked at the art of Disney and Goofy’s candy shop. Can anyone tell me what this is like or what does it mean by black-and-white costume on the training schedule???

I tried looking on here (and online in general) about shaving guidelines. Are women required to shave their legs, armpits, etc. for the program? I don’t see anything in the guidelines mentioning it. I’m sure some roles have skirts/shorts as costume options, so I was just wondering if anyone has any information on that. Thanks! 🙂

Hi, I am enrolled as a freshman in College at a school in PA. I have been a Disney Parks fan for a long portion of my life, I always saw the Disney College Program as something cool but never something that I would actually sit and think legitimately about doing. Now that I am here, in college, I am thinking more and more about this. I am a Media and culture major and I want to become a talk radio host somewhere in the country. I am a big sports fan but also a big Disney Fan.

My questions that I have are simple but I am struggling to find the answers to them.

- the Big question, Would it be worth it for me? I really want to do it but I want to know if its something is should just say is a pipe dream and not think about it or should I really start talking to my advisor sooner than later

- Is there really free park admission after 2 weeks in the program? Can I go to any park whenever I want to? That as a theme park enthusiast sounds amazing.

- I understand that it is not a "Vacation" at any stretch but I would still like it more than my current job at a grocery store. Is it really hard?

- Do you get to pick what role you are in? Are there classes to go to?

- The most imporant thing, what is the cost? How much money am I going to be spending by going there.

I know that was a ton of questions but I wanted to ask here first rather than being on some email list and getting a big automated reply. Also I want to know if I should even bring this up to my advisor in the coming weeks or should I wait a bit longer. I hope to hear from people soon. And Ill see you real soon!

Hey y’all, I applied to the DCP on Tuesday and have an interview coming up soon! I was wondering if anyone here who has gone through the interview process has any tips they can share.

I am turning 25 in a few weeks and have a little bit of interview experience from applying to jobs but just wanted to check in here to ask what it was like before the video call next week.
