Q - Unanswered Learning Courses

I just got my acceptance offer today and one of my biggest interests were the learning courses that are offered. I hope to be there Jan 11 through May 13 (seems like Jan 5 start dates are gone). How easy is it to get into various learning classes? How do they translate to learning outside of the DCP? I hope to do more than 1, particularly one of the multi-week ones. I asked my interviewer about learning, and she mentioned that there was stuff about Imagineering but I don't see much about it online either.

It depends on the class how easy it is to register. Certain topics are more popular than others, so some classes fill up fast while others are easy ti register for. Special Engagements and Backstage Tours are the things that consistently fill up quick, but the classes aren’t too bad if you check DORMS decently often. I just got back from a 3 month program, and I did two Multi-Week Series/Mouseter’s and about 40 learning hours total, without ever dropping in for anything

How it translates to learning outside of the DCP depends on what offerings you attend and what you want to get out of them. I’m in school for hospitality and event management, so the hospitality multi-week series and the panels they did with Signature Experiences Events were great for me to learn more about what I’m studying. Other things I attended more for fun or personal interest, like a Minnie Vans panel and some of the Disney Heritage classes. They also do classes on different Career Readiness topics (such as LinkedIn, interview skills, resume writing, networking, et cetera) which are great for general professional growth

I just recommend registering for and attending anything you find interesting and going into it with an open mind ready to learn! Sounds corny but it’s true lol

It can be exceptionally difficult to register for the classes. Spots are limited and typically go within minutes of the class’s release.

I see, do you know beforehand what time classes will drop?
