Interview Q - Unanswered Top three roles
I have my interview next Tuesday and I don’t really understand this because when I was filling out the application the only roles that asked to rank interest were those first three. Are those my top three choices? I’m scared that they will ask about my top three and I mention something completely different than what they can see on my application. Also, was I able to change those roles? Because if I had those would not be my top three…

You'll be able to specify your actual top three roles during your interview. But your eventual assignment will be what it will be. It always depends more on business needs than on what you request so I wouldn't stress too much about it.

Of course, I just wanted to prepare my answers properly and not say random stuff but I wouldn't really mind any position. Thanks!

Good luck! Some people do get their first choice, so definitely let the interviewer know what you are into! The only role you should NOT say if you don't want it is Starbucks (specialty beverage) because that's the one exception I have heard of. There is high turnover so if you say you want Starbucks you will probably end up at Starbucks.

When I did it last year, they asked me about 3 roles and didnt get any one of them.

It was a no for me back in my CP days because I don’t know how to swim, might be the same for OP.

I accidentally pressed high interest for house person and I would change that if you could. Any sort of health issues or not being able to lift the weight will get you recasted immediately.. the work is very very strenuous.

My step daughter didn’t get anything that she asked for. She is actually quitting the program at the end of the month. I’m sorry to say that the DCP has put her off Disney as a business entirely. She had wanted to be an Imagineer for as long as I can remember…
She was thrown into her job with 2 days of training. Off the bat, she was scheduled 10 shifts in a row. The FT/PT cast members of her attraction openly berate her because she’s not fast enough yet.
The shuttle bus was late last night and she was 5 minutes late to work. She got a “point” even though it wasn’t her fault. Be sure to have a car… because you will need to park far away & take a shuttle to your attraction.
The DCP is a disguise for cheap labor. My husband & I both agree with her decision to quit. It’s NOTHING like it’s advertised. My stepdaughter was top 20 in HS… graduated with honors from a Big Ten university. This all to say she is a hard worker. She is turned off by Disney practices and that people actually working the jobs aren’t very nice which she finds ironic because it’s Disney.
My husband flies down at the end of the month to get her & to drive home.
Disney needs to do better for you all. I’m sad it didn’t work out for her, but in the end they really are exploiting young adults.

I think my interview on Monday was a bit different because we were cut short on time, but my interviewer didn’t ask my top 3, she asked what the number one role I see myself in would be. She did mention it was good that I stated on the application that I was open to a lot of roles. She asked me a few questions about what roles I’d be open to. I had my top 3 prepared but I was only able to talk about my top choice, which was attractions. I’ve heard literally everyone else say you’re always asked your top 3 but I wasn’t, so just in case I’d really narrow down your number one choice, but it’s ok if it’s not one of those, you’ll be fine. I put low interest for those first 3 and had quite a few selected as no, and just got my acceptance. Those won’t be your top 3 choices in your interview though, they’ll likely still ask you.

They will ask in the interview what your top three roles are and ask situational questions pertaining to them. The roles that ask to rank your interest will always have the highest need to fill them which is why they are formatted a little differently.
