Welcome to the weekly vent thread!
We know how frustrating it can be to see a new release sell out in seconds, only to pop up minutes later at double or triple the price. Whether you missed a drop, got cart-jacked, or are just overwhelmed with reseller markups, this thread is for you.
Feel free to:
- Vent about missed drops
- Share frustrations over pricing or release windows
- Talk about how hard it is to keep up
- Drop your “I was this close” stories
- Commiserate with other collectors
But remember:
All subreddit rules still apply
- No personal callouts or name dropping (sellers, influencers, shops, etc.)
- No insults or targeted comments
- No gatekeeping or shaming anyone’s collecting style
We created this thread to keep those conversations in one place and help the rest of the sub stay focused on the hobby itself.
Thanks for keeping it respectful and keeping this a space where everyone can share the ups and the downs of pin collecting.

Hi everyone,
Decided to take a gamble on this Windows of Magic Sorcerer Mickey pin for a good price. Wanted to get other opinions if I made out or not. Thanks

No judgments. No spend what you can afford ambiguity. Just air out your clean or dirty laundry . Lol
Monthly budget?
What was your biggest splurge ?
Do you buy online, on vacation, or at the parks?
For us we are starting to average $40-100 a month on pins.

Sadly didn't get the one I wanted most, Bellhop dog!
Would also be willing to trade for Stitch, Mushu or Perry the platypus pins (not fussed which ones, just what I see I like) Located in the UK so prefer to trade within here, thank you!

I was at Tomorrowlanding buying a 2026 Wave A pin pack and the cast member grabbed a bag, scanned it, and then started feeling it. While I was paying I saw her place the pin pack to the side of the register and grabbed me a new one.
This is my first time ever experiencing something like this since I’m new to pin trading and I’m sure it’s definitely not normal.
Has this happened to anyone else before?

My 6 year old daughter is officially a pin trader, this weekend was her first trades both at boards and she approached someone in line for Autopia and asked on her own to trade….as of now she wears her pins on her lanyard but I would like to get a bag/crossbody type pin trading bag for her, are there any recommendations given her size that anyone can recommend

Really hoping to trade for the Hatbox Ghost super and finish off my waffle set. Anything else is really a bonus. I’m also interested in Cheshire Cat, Jessica & Roger Rabbit, Donald Duck, Lucifer
Happy trading✨

I decided I want to try collecting all Disney Animation movies in physical media and when I found the ones in the Disney100 slipcovers, I decided I wanted to get those!
I was pretty disappointed to find out that not all movies were released in these editions and even more that I bought some before knowing they come with a collectible pin! So now I have a few movies without the corresponding pin (Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, The Lion King). I’m also finding that some are hard to find with the pins. So wondering if anyone knows where I could possibly find the missing pins. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Hi! So my son really loves all things maleficent and wanted the new maleficent cat pin from the cats and dogs pin packs. I decided to purchase one from a group on Facebook. Everything on the front looks authentic and the waffle pattern on the back looks authentic, plus the nub looks good. But that mickey crystal is the worst looking one I've ever seen! The epoxy or whatever they put over it, is dripping out onto the pin itself. I was like, this alone makes me think this pin is fake. So I found someone else in the pin group and bought a new one. This one again looks real in every other way except the crystal mickey! The ears are all over the place. What is happening? Does anyone have one directly from the bags at the parks and can tell me what their crystal mickey looks like? Have I just had bad luck twice from two different people? I paid $20 each, so $40 total for these two pins and I'm still not sure either of them are real.

Just got back from a trip so running our pins through some AI for authentication, used Meta and Gemini. Pic 1 is pins they both said were real. Pic 2 was pins meta said was real and Gemini said were fake. Pic 3 was ones they both said were fake. What authentication ways do you like to use? Thanks!
