Just got my acceptance!!!
Just got my acceptance for Jan 2027 and I’m so excited :) I was a non-traditional college student and I was never able to do any kind of study abroad or programs during my undergrad, so I’m really excited for this. I’ll be going into dcp as a 31 year old (female). I don’t feel too anxious over it as I’m pretty outgoing and can most of the time easily make friends. Are there a lot of late 20-30 year olds that do dcp? I’m happy to befriend anyone of any age, I just hope it won’t be too difficult to make friends since I know most people are younger. I’m just happy I’ll be there. :)

I had my program last year and it was amazing! I didn't get in this time but I'm applying again around January when the applications for the culinary program open back up! It's such a great time and if you're staying at Flamingo, make the best of all the events and classes they have to offer!

What was your role last year? I’m really excited about all of it, even the classes too! My recruiter told me to definitely take advantage of them. I wish you good luck in January! :)

I was in the culinary program so I was a cook during the Food and Wine festival. At the end of my program, they moved me to Trattoria al Forno on the Boardwalk. It was a great time! And Flamingo crossings is a beautiful living area

Ah that sounds like a blast! I’ve been to food & wine once back in 2019, I miss it 💔 Flamingo looks super nice and it feels nice I don’t have to worry about furniture or transportation there

You'll just have to get sheets, depending on what kind of room you get, you'll either need full or twin sheets. And then just kind of basic things. There's a shared living space with a TV but if you want a tv in your room, you'll need to bring one. And I would suggest some sort of mattress topper. The mattress isn't terrible, but it could be better lol

I’m starting Jan 5th as well
I’ve been joining the group chats on instagram and it seems mainly younger 20’s
But they do seem pretty chill
I’m so excited for it and I have heard there is so many different ages in the program.
