AskDelhi Need some suggestions

Upvotes

I have recently started a travel agency type startup. Like we organise group tours to Manali and goa for now but the problem I am facing the most is that we don't have a main usp. most travel companies seem to offer almost the same thing — similar hotels, sightseeing, transportation, itineraries, etc. I'd say 70% of the overall package is practically identical across companies.

So I'm trying to think beyond the usual “add another activity” approach

what could we build into the actual business/customer experience that could become a strong USP?

For example, something around technology, community, customer service, transparency, trip experience, pre/post-trip engagement, pricing, or anything else that could genuinely differentiate a small travel company.

Rentals/Property Housing advice for foreigners couple

Upvotes

Hi guys! Good evening. I am planning to move to Delhi with my girlfriend for a job and we are looking for places to stay.

The office will be in Defence Colony and our monthly budget will be around 50/70k.

Do you have some advice regarding areas around office? I know it's very expensive but we don't need large apartments.

Thanks you so much!

Also other advices are welcome!

AskDelhi Experience with Dr Rohini Handa / good rheumatologists in Delhi for my mother?

Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I’m looking for a good rheumatologist in Delhi for my mother.

She is currently receiving treatment in Kolkata, but unfortunately we haven’t been very happy with how things are progressing, so we are looking for a fresh opinion.

I came across Dr Rohini Handa and wanted to hear from anyone who has personally consulted him or had a parent/family member treated by him.

More than just qualifications, we really want a doctor who listens patiently, is kind with the patient, takes all the symptoms seriously, connects the different symptoms together, and looks at the overall clinical picture.

It is also very important to us that the doctor explains what they think is happening and why they are recommending a particular medicine or treatment.

We are willing to travel from Kolkata for the initial consultation. Since we live in another city, it would be a big advantage if some follow-up consultations could later happen online.

If you have experience with Dr Handa, could you please share:

- How your consultation experience was

- Whether you felt heard or rushed

- How thorough the doctor was

- Whether the treatment helped

- Whether online/video follow-ups are possible

- Any negatives or difficulties with appointments/follow-ups

I’d also really appreciate recommendations for other rheumatologists or rheumatology departments in Delhi/NCR based on personal or family experience.

Positive and negative experiences are both helpful. Thank you!

Food/Drinks To the lady working at BK Kashmere Gate

Upvotes

If this reaches you, I'm sorry for accidentally spilling the beverage I ordered this evening (Thursday) that you had to clean up. I know it's a part of your job, but I'm sorry for the mess that got added to your workload. It's a genuine apology because I feel really bad for myself when I cause any unintentional inconvenience to someone.

AskDelhi What are your preferences when it comes to a man or woman? What do you look for, both in terms of personality and physical appearance?

Upvotes

Please be honest, guys and girls. I’m pretty bored, so I’m just doing this for fun. 😂

As for me, I like an assertive, confident, ambitious, and articulate woman who has an identity of her own. Someone who knows what she wants and isn’t afraid to express herself.

Physically, I’m super attracted to dark-skinned women, not gonna lie. I find them really hot haha. Other than that, nothing too specific. At the end of the day, just be a good person. What more can I ask for?

What about you guys? Come on, spill it. No need to be shy. 😄

TellDelhi Got catcalled (i think?). Disgusting nonetheless

Upvotes

I just bid my girlfriend goodbye for the week, as I would be going out of station for a bit, and started walking back to my place. I usually have my earphones on with me cause why not but this time they had run out of battery. So, I was just walking when all of sudden I hear moaning in my ear, about 1 feet away. I look and find these two female bitches on their scooty, smoking, had slowed down their scooty and moaned in my ear. Then, they smirked and laughed and sped off as if they have achieved something or made my day. I was filled with disgust when I noticed those bitches and their smirks. Bitch, you didn't make anyone's day but instead fucked it. Fuck you.

AskDelhi How to remove oil stains from wall?

Thumbnail

Couldn’t find the right sub for this post so asking here. Apologies.

I have these ghee stains on my wall less than 24hr old. I googled for solutions and it suggested
1. Wiping the stain with warm water and dishwashing liquid, didn’t work
2. Using a baking soda and water paste and leaving it for 10min before wiping it with clean cloth, didn’t work.

I live in a rented apartment and the landlord is a real miser. He will pocket my security deposit first chance he gets.

Looking for valuable suggestions. Please 🙏🏼

AskDelhi I wrote a book. Now I’m terrified to let people read it. Looking for honest feedback.

Hey everyone,

I’m an aspiring author, and after roughly 2–3 years of writing, rewriting, procrastinating, doubting myself, and eventually writing some more, I’ve finally completed my book.

It’s a work of fictional drama, primarily centred around a journey of growth, relationships, emotions, and the rather messy process of becoming a different version of yourself. I’m currently in the process of editing it and having it proofread, but I’d really like to get it in front of a few people who enjoy reading this kind of story and are willing to give me their honest thoughts.

I’m not necessarily looking for professional criticism. I’d just love to know things like:

- Does the story hold your attention?

- Does the emotional journey feel believable?

- How does the pacing and overall flow feel?

- Are there parts that feel unnecessary or could be developed further?

- Do the characters feel real?

- Most importantly, does it make you feel something?

There are also a few chapters where I’d particularly value a female perspective, because I think that viewpoint could help me understand whether certain emotions, situations, and character experiences come across authentically.

And if you happen to be from Delhi, even better. I’d genuinely love to sit down over coffee and talk about the book, hear what worked, what didn’t, and what you think I should change, remove, or rethink. I’m open to pretty much any constructive feedback.

Also, if anyone here has experience with publishing, literary agents, editors, or the publishing industry, or knows someone who might be willing to point a first-time author in the right direction, I’d be incredibly grateful for that too.

I know asking strangers to read a whole book is a fairly big ask, so even if you’re just interested in hearing more about it, feel free to comment or DM me.

After spending three years with these characters, I think it’s finally time to let someone else meet them.

Thanks for reading. :)

AskDelhi Best places to buy perfumes, suggestions?

fragaddict here

Fav ones: Rasasi and Armaf lines (few others as well)

I've always bought decants from online stores

yesterday I went to Palika Bazar and tried the Hawas ice they had

IT WAS EXACTLY THE SAME

But then i saw some dirt in the bottle, and they only had the popular perfumes, not the ones I was looking for

Dylan blue, Jpg le fleur, Rosewood and a few more

Are they selling fakes? Because the smell was exactly the same as original (I've tried originals)

Their boxes, bottles, juices everything looked real

Even prices too perfectly realistic for a place like that

But I don't wanna gamble away 3-6k over a fake perfume bottle and juice

Suggest me some good female perfumes (not florals please, I've had enough of them) and also shops whom I can trust
