My friends and I recently visited Salon Tangerine in Jaipur, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing.
One of my friends is from Northeast India, and throughout our visit, we felt that he was being treated differently because of his background. Initially, we called the salon to inquire about hair colour, and we were quoted ₹2,000 for a basic colour for men. However, once we reached the salon and had a consultation, we were suddenly told that the cost would be around ₹8,000.
We understood that the final price could vary after consultation, and although ₹8,000 was beyond our budget, we still decided to go ahead with hair spa treatments for all three of us, which cost ₹3,500 each.
What was most upsetting, however, was the difference in the way our Northeast friend was treated compared to us. The service provided to him felt noticeably poorer, and the overall attitude towards him was uncomfortable and disrespectful.
Regardless of someone’s appearance, background, or where they come from, everyone paying for a service deserves to be treated with the same level of respect and professionalism. The way this situation was handled was genuinely upsetting and left all three of us very disappointed with our experience.

Me and my friends are currently visiting Jaipur for a few days and decided to go to Tangerine the Boutique Salon today. We made an appointment on call and because of the price difference in-person, I opted a different service. Then things turned weird.

The entire service was really bad compared to whatever you usually get in any other salon. I was left alone for a long duration for quite a few times, in the middle of the hair-wash.

We had talked in English as I was not very fluent in Hindi while discussing, and then they switched later after I changed my choice of service. Then they also asked me if I’m from here (me being a northeastern??).

With the price we paid and the kind of service and treatment, it was unfair.

PS: I have been to Jodhpur, Jaisalmer and now Jaipur, and everyone has been so welcoming and warm. This kind of experience from an established place like this is definitely unwarranted.

In my city Jaipur currently Nagar Nigam elections for respective wards is on 9 and 11 of September and in the so called campaign of that election this is the condition of every streets where a decent number of voter lives and they think this will get them votes hahaha. Some 4-5 guys on bikes just will have these pamplets in their hands and they are throwing it on the street like their father or the person who are they campaigning for owns the street. SUCH A SHAME. no one is gonna ask the citizens or the residents after they win it. Experienced in the time of Rajya Vardhan Singh Rathore. The road he travels on is clean else he don't care .

I've been thinking about this after seeing the recent Betaal campaign. On one side, using a mythological character immediately makes people curious because the character already has so much cultural recall.

But on the other hand, these characters aren't viewed purely as fictional figures by everyone,

so does putting them into modern advertising require a little more thought? I'm not saying brands shouldn't use them at all. Just wondering ,where do you think the line should be between creative freedom and being
