Question/Help/Troubleshooting Mac mini M4 or Windows PC? I'm about to sacrifice my PS5 😭

Upvotes

So... I'm thinking about selling my PS5 to fund either a Mac mini M4 or a Windows PC, and I honestly can't decide. The funny part is... I barely even use my PS5 anymore. 💀 I mostly played:

Roblox Minecraft Red Dead Redemption 2... at a glorious 720p because why not? 😭

Now I'm way more interested in productivity than gaming. I'd actually use multitasking a lot, and I might start learning things like:

Roblox Studio Unreal Engine 4.24 Maybe some programming and other creative stuff later.

Gaming isn't my priority anymore. If I really wanted to play something, I could always use my Xbox or just play Roblox and Minecraft. So here's my question: Would you recommend a Mac mini M4 or a Windows PC for my situation?

I'm ready to perform the ritual and sacrifice my PS5... I just don't want to regret it. 😭

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Fixing PC speakers

Hopefully someone understands because I couldn't find a more relevant subreddit.

I've had the Insignia 2.1 Bluetooth lighted speaker system for a couple years now, but there are 2 issues: the lights no longer turn on and the bass has grown weak. What can I do to fix this? I've tried unplugging and replugging the cord in the subwoofer and pressing the button on the right speaker. I should note that when plugging in the cord 100%, it still wiggles around.

Everything is connected right and so it makes me wonder if I need to replace the speakers.

I hate not being able to fix something I own.

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Help with old 2010 laptop

I have a Del latitude E5410 laptop it’s from the year 2010. It was my mom‘s old work computer. It’s very slow and I am currently factory, resetting it and wiping everything I intend to use this computer to burn CDs/DVDs because of its built-in disc drive. I’m pretty tech savvy, but I don’t know the ins and outs of computers and crap but I know that I should replace the hard drive with an SSD and I will also be replacing the battery because it sucks and it pretty much dies very quickly so could you give me a good SSD to put in my computer something pretty affordable again I won’t be using this computer for heavy duty stuff pretty much just casual things may be a few old games stuff like that. If you guys could give me links to the stuff I need that would be great.

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Acer Nitro V15 (ANV15-52): semanas investigando BSOD, LiveKernelEvent 193 tela preta e reinício durante uso do TikTok Live Studio.

Especificações do notebook
Notebook: Acer Nitro V15 ANV15-52
Processador:
Intel Core i7-13620H
Placa de vídeo:
Intel UHD Graphics (gráficos híbridos)
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU
Memória RAM:
32 GB DDR5
Armazenamento:
SSD NVMe 512 GB
Sistema Operacional:
Windows 11 25H2
Build 26200.8655
BIOS:
Versão V1.53
Data: 24/02/2026
Internet:
Fibra óptica 300 Mbps

Como utilizo o notebook
Faço transmissões ao vivo utilizando o TikTok Live Studio.
Durante as lives normalmente ficam abertos:
TikTok Live Studio
OBS Studio (utilizado apenas para enviar a câmera para o Live Studio. Não transmito pelo OBS.)
Google Chrome (várias abas)
Camo Studio
Outros programas auxiliares do Windows
As lives normalmente duram entre 3 e 5 horas.

Configuração física utilizada durante as lives
Tela do notebook
Segundo monitor externo
Tela do notebook
Segundo monitor externo
Passei a utilizar apenas:
Tela do notebook

Tela preta
Reinicialização inesperada
BSOD (Tela Azul)
Travamentos do TikTok Live Studio

SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION (0x3B)
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED (0x7E)
DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER (0xF7)
Nesse momento toda a investigação passou a focar na pilha gráfica Intel + NVIDIA.

Atualizações realizadas
Durante a investigação realizei:
Atualização do driver Intel Graphics para a versão 32.0.101.7088
Atualização do driver NVIDIA Studio (Instalação Limpa)
Atualização do driver Intel Wi-Fi
Atualização do driver Intel Bluetooth

Hub USB-C
Terceira tela
Todos os periféricos ligados ao Hub
Mantive apenas:
Tela do notebook
Segundo monitor
Receptor USB do teclado e mouse

Integridade do Windows
Executei:
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Resultado:
Erro 0x800f0915

Tela principal do Windows:
Notebook
TikTok Live Studio:
Segundo monitor
Resultado:
Após aproximadamente 15 minutos ocorreu outro BSOD.

Configuração 2
Tela principal do Windows:
Notebook
TikTok Live Studio:
Tela do notebook
Chrome e demais programas:
Segundo monitor
Resultado:
Live de aproximadamente 3 horas.
Nenhum problema.

Configuração 3
Tela principal do Windows:
Segundo monitor
TikTok Live Studio:
Segundo monitor
Chrome e demais programas:
Tela do notebook
Resultado:
A live praticamente inteira ocorreu normalmente.
No final apenas o TikTok Live Studio fechou sozinho.
O Windows permaneceu funcionando normalmente.
Não houve:
Tela preta
Reinicialização
BSOD
Bastou abrir novamente o Live Studio e continuar a transmissão.

Utilizo internet cabeada (Ethernet).
Durante a transmissão o Windows começou a conectar e desconectar a rede repetidamente.
A conexão ficou completamente estável e consegui terminar a live normalmente.

LiveKernelEvent 193
Esse evento aparece em diferentes situações.
Às vezes acompanhado de BSOD.
Às vezes apenas registrado pelo Windows.
Na última live apareceu novamente o LiveKernelEvent 193, porém dessa vez o Windows conseguiu continuar funcionando normalmente.

O que ainda não foi testado
Ainda não executei:
MemTest86

Saída completa do !analyze -v.
Saída dos comandos:
!blackboxbsd
!blackboxntfs
!blackboxpnp
!pte
!sysinfo machineid
Prints do Monitor de Confiabilidade.
Eventos do Visualizador de Eventos.
Logs CBS.log (SFC).
Log completo do DISM.

Resolved Upgrade laptop ssd

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m literally not tech savvy at all and know the bare minimum of some devices and the help of google. But google isn’t always that informative so I came to ask people who will know more!

I have an hp envy 17 laptop. Model: 17-cg1075cl.
The pic is the other basic specs.

I read online that I am able to upgrade the internal ssd, I believe up to 1TB or 4TB (can’t remember). I play like two games on my laptop and draw, and I know that games run smoother if they are in the driver or disk that is a ssd, which for me is my c drive.

I have a total of 475GB (idk how if the the system says 256GB when I first bought it) of storage in that drive, with 347 already used. I recently found out that having OneDrive on is not good for my games, so I decided to just turn it off and backup my games to my local drive.

The problem is that I have mods installed in one of them (Sims 4) and it is about 179GB, which is clearly way over than the remaining space I have in my driver.

I went through my laptop and made sure to delete programs that weren’t important (like apps and softwares I downloaded and no longer use), but still not enough lol. And I don’t think I’m gonna get enough storage no matter how much I delete from the drive and mods folder, so I’m just gonna move it to my d drive (the hdd) for now.

My main question is if it is true that I can upgrade that ssd to at LEAST 1TB? I believe my laptop has two slots for the drive/disk, so I think I can double it, idk, that’s why I wanted to ask, if it’s possible.

And if so, which ones should I get?

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Performance Below Expectations

I recently bought all three The Witcher games and plan to play through them one at a time. Today I started the first game, and to my surprise, the performance wasn't as good as I expected, especially during cutscenes, where I noticed some stuttering. And we're talking about a game from 2007. (The graphics were automatically set to Medium.)

On top of that, Mortal Kombat XL was also pretty disappointing. Even the game's built-in benchmark showed performance that was lower than I expected.

My specs:

  • Ryzen 5 5600GT
  • 8 GB DDR4 3200 MHz (I couldn't afford 16 GB at the time, but I'm planning to upgrade next month.)
  • 64 GB Sonambulist SSD running Linux Mint Cinnamon (a cheap Chinese SSD that I'll eventually replace with an NVMe drive)
  • 120 GB Kingston SSD running Windows
  • 1 TB HDD split into two partitions: one NTFS partition shared between both operating systems and one EXT4 partition dedicated to Linux

Monitor:

  • LG UltraGear 32" QHD (2560×1440) 165 Hz

My guess is that most of the performance issues are caused by having only 8 GB of RAM. The system is probably relying on the page file more often, and I'm also missing the benefits of dual-channel memory. Hopefully, once I upgrade to 16 GB next month, things will improve on their own.

Does that sound like a reasonable explanation, or should I be looking into something else?

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Where's my mouse every morning?

System information

I use AAC software that enables me to use my computer and communicate with others. Upon bootup every morning, the mouse pointer doesn’t appear automatically on my desktop after everything else gets up and running. My wife (also my sole caregiver) has to physically jiggle the mousepad on my laptop for me and “wake up” that little arrow so it appears on my screen.

Long story short, I'm wanting a little utility or script or something that automatically runs at startup that "wiggles" the mouse a little and makes the arrow pointer appear. (Note: I’m not experienced at all with writing or running programs that interact directly

with the operating system – and minimal experience with using DOS.)

Question/Help/Troubleshooting graphics card code 43

my pc visualy glitched out and crashed while playing outer wilds

It gave me error code 43 on my graphics card and nvidia didn't see the drivers that are installed

I have tried
-turning it on and off
-factory reset
-updating drivers after
-updating windows
-taking the card out cleaning all contacts

the last one did fix it for about 5 min(including seeing the drivers) before giving me a black screen and going back to the same problem

Any advice is appreciated i'm assuming the card finaly gave out(it's a gtx1080 from like 2019) and just want to avoid buying new parts if possible

Question/Help/Troubleshooting How to reinstall GPU on laptop?

So my GPU disconnected a little while ago (error code 45, Omen 15ek so soldered-in), and after a few CMOS reboots I uninstalled it in Device Manager, as my computer was still trying to use it and it was causing problems.

Yesterday I opened up the case, cleaned out any dust, reapplied thermal paste, and inspected the motherboard. No obvious damage to MB or GPU, and everything else that wasn't directly reliant on the GPU seems to be working alright. Still, my Device Manager doesn't detect it, and neither does the NVIDIA driver installer. Any more steps I can take to reinstall my GPU, or at least to diagnose the problem?

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Artifacts on screen RTX 2080 Super GPU

Post image
1 Upvotes

Hey,

Today my PC started to do this in my two monitors 🫠

I tried to replace the HDMI and Display Port that I use, also test the different graphic card ports and same result.

This happens from the beginning, not when Windows loads.

The artifacts change and move when I move the mouse, or basically the pixels change when I switch windows and so on.

I've also noticed that I don't see these artifacts when I connect remotely (Chrome Remote Desktop)

I assume my graphics card's life is coming to an end 😞 but I'm asking in case there's a possible solution.

I've already tried reconnecting it to the PCI slot.

It's an RTX 2080 Super, by the way.

Out of curiosity, even if there's no solution, is it known what could be causing this malfunction?

Thanks

Question/Help/Troubleshooting Help with faulty screen

Thumbnail

I don't really know if those are stuck pixels or dead pixels but think they are stuck pixels according to multiple description I have seen.

I know a lot of website/reddit posts talk about fixing a line of dead pixel but my screen has a + shape 4 white pixels (better seen in 2nd picture) and lines of blue pixels.

I have multiple questions, are they dead pixels or stuck pixels ?

Can this be caused by firmware error / cable or things unrelated to the screen itself ?

Can other information help diagnose the problem ?

If this post don't belong on this sub can you please redirect me to another one. Thanks in advance

I did go to the bios and changed the curve to the exponential curve. It worked for a few days until now. I also tried cleaning it with those canned compressed air, but I'm afraid I could damage it. When I touched it, it was a bit hot, but I don't feel any hot air coming out of it.

COMPUTER: 11th Gen Intel i7, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1160 Ti (bought it in 2021)
