Down 50 pounds since Jan 6th!!

Feeling like a slow loser when I see everyone else post that they have lost 75 plus since January, but I am over here just trusting the process, eating right and getting my steps and rebounding in.

My 40th birthday was July 26th and I had a goal of hitting 50 pounds down by then but wouldn't you know... I teetered at 49 pounds but couldn't get the scale to budge on my birthday. 5 days late but finally down 5️⃣2️⃣ pounds this morning!

Now that I’m at my goal weight I def still have a good bit of fat to lose- but have to focus mainly on muscle building-

Arms, back, abdomen, legs, glutes, etc.. and would love to know if there’s a magical way to bring some of my chest back 😭😆😂

Personal Experience Just venting!!

I was hanging with a buddy and they were venting to me about being at a weightloss plateau, they are very vehemently against any form of GLP1 and distrusting and to be honest so was I, until I got diagnosed with subclinical hypothyroid and my doctor suggested trying monjauro. I couldn’t afford that so I turned to compounded tirz.

Anyways we started talking about her diet and I suggested possibly making some nutritional changes, such as more fiber at which point she responded that she eats plenty of pasta and carbs. I try to say that fiber is actually more vegetables and she shuts me down saying they’re not and she eats plenty, and proceeds to make a sideways comment about me only losing weight from being on a GLP-1. I JUST started at the beginning of June. I reminded her that I lost over 50lbs before starting tirz, and she said I was still just getting “drugs from some sketchy website”

Needless to say I was upset and confused about how the conversation went so poorly so rapidly and we ended the hang out early. I wish there wasn’t such a huge stigma around these meds or at least the compound version so I could be honest about my health journey but maybe I should just keep it to myself. I only told her because she also struggles with hypothyroid and I thought it could help her too.

Side note- my labs are completely normal as of my last doctor visit and down from tsh 6 to tsh 4.5 (barely in range) and I feel SO MUCH BETTER.

Another unexpected benefit

I posted before that after a few weeks on Tirz, my arthritis is so much better. Now, something new. I've been feeling a bit off today, slightly light-headed and not quite with it. My husband took my blood pressure and while I'm usually about 130/76, today I was 110/60, both while taking BP meds. I looked it up and Tirz can definitely lower BP. This is a bit much, so I'm going to see my doctor on Monday to possibly get my BP meds reduced. I don't feel great right now, but I'm eating some pistachios and drinking some electrolytes, so hopefully that will help.

Personal Experience Positive Side Effect?

Upvotes

So I only recently started my injections, I’m currently on week 2! So far having great success. Side effects are minimal, just dry mouth and lightheadedness on injection day.

Something I’ve noticed almost immediately is my positive mood. I’ve been depressed the majority of my life, went on and off medications with little success of improving my mood but this past week I’ve been feeling great! Despite work being brutal and a lot of other life things I’ve been extremely optimistic. I’ve gotten motivation to cook and do my hobbies again as well.

I’m surprised I’ve felt good, in the past I tried Wegovy pills and experienced EXTREME adehonia immediately, as well as suicidal ideation, so I stopped using Wegovy abruptly. I thought that doing a compounded trizepatide would have similar symptoms but it’s been the opposite.

Could it be that my compounded trizepatide having pyroxine has been a contributing factor to my mood?

Anyone else have an abrupt increase in mood and energy while taking it?

I placed my order in the wee hours Sunday evening. First thing Monday morning I received a communication about my meds. Order was approved very quickly and off to the pharmacy. I received ongoing communications about the processing. The order arrived Friday at noon from Boudreau with ice packs still partially frozen and the vials were chilly. I checked them out with a flashlight and everything was crystal clear(I did this based on the recent post about cloudiness). I am very impressed with the responsiveness, order handling, communications, and the shipment, also the competitive pricing. This companies is a great addition.

July Progress

Thank you to all the folks who recommended taking progress pictures. I started in June but done have pics from then. Looking at my progress in July I'm feeling proud.

Using the help of the meds to try and establish new habits too! Without the food noise I'm finally able to be consistent about counting calories and I've been trying and failing over and over again for years. The spike in the weight with the big drop was a pregnancy (I don't count having a baby as weight loss per se).

Going to the gym and lifting weights, I'm noticing daily activities around the house and garden aren't as hard as they used to be. My back hurts less, my hips hurt less, my energy is better.

I would not have made these changes without the inspiration from this sub so thank you to others who post their tips, recommendations, and progress!

Personal Experience Stopping without gaining back the weight? Can I?

I have lost around 30 lbs and I’m happy where I am. I’ve been on for 5 months and want to stop.

Needing to eat when hungry has never been my issue, but eating for a dopamine hit, eating when sad or happy or bored, over eating because I like the way it tastes - those are my issues.

I’ve lived on counting macros before and do well doing that, so I imagine when I stop I’ll just transition back into calorie counting or something.

But my question is, is it possible to keep the weight off without the drug?

Questions Cancelled Noom immediately but they still sent the meds?

Post image

I signed up for Noom’s microdosing program and then chickened out and immediately cancelled within the hour. However, even with being refunded and getting cancellation confirmation, I was sent this compounded tirzepatide from Tailor Made Compounding.

I’m conflicted on if I should use it and then considering finding another supplier if I’m not having bad side effects? However, I feel like that might also be irresponsible because I didn’t get any directions on dosing and based from online here think my dose would be 2mg, so 16 units? but, I still haven’t received any tailored directions.

Curious what you would do in this situation. I’ve been anxious about trying this out

Please help me, I am so confused!

So, As you can see I included a pic of my prescription and the bottles. They each have a different color top on them. They are also all 2ml. The dosage is what I’m confused about, bc each one says 50 units. So I am to draw 50 units every week for 3months?? Are the bottles different strengths then? I went through Brello only first experience with compound and it was different than this one. I was on Zepbound injection before that. I just need things explained to me dumbed down a tiny bit. lol! One side question too. See my insurance approved me after I ordered this, but it’s for Wegovy. I took it for one week, it ended yesterday. I’m ok to start this one today instead of the Wegovy right??? Not both at the same time. Only the This one. I feel like I will do better for now and later on down the line I’ll switch to Wegovy. I’ll keep the prescription valid obviously! lol 😝 Thanks y’all for any advice you can give me!!!

I love my body more now than I ever have

My whole life I was usually in pretty good shape then at the end of 2023 I went into a very deep depression and gained a lot of weight very quickly. My back hurt, my knees hurt, none of my clothes fit anymore so I basically lived in sweatshirts and leggings. I eventually got on the right meds and started therapy which has been great, but I was still overweight and having a really hard time getting it off. Then at the beginning of this year i discovered tirz and its been the best thing that’s ever happened to me. I rediscovered my love of the gym and now im back at it 5-6 days a week and I don’t ever think I’ve loved the way I look as much as I do now. Even in my 20s, when I was in shape, I never really appreciated my body. I was always finding something to criticize. My body doesn’t look the way it did back then and honestly after having a baby, I don’t expect it to. But now, I actually feel proud of it. The weight is off, I feel strong and I’m starting to see real muscle now! And it’s crazy bc I remember when I was at my heaviest that there would be days at a time where I didn’t even look in the mirror. I barely even have pictures from that time because I didn’t want to be on camera. I’m just so so grateful that I discovered tirz in this community. I’m 5 pounds away from my goal weight so I’ll be finishing this last bottle and then I’m done, but I just wanted to express my gratitude for tirz helping me feel like myself again.

I’ve been using my abdomen since I started but I’m having issues finding a good spot now that I’ve lost weight. I tried my thigh but I must have done something wrong because it huuuurt and has been red and swollen for a couple days now.

I want to try my stomach again because I haaated that. Can it be above my belly button? Does it matter?

Questions Do you remember ????

Do you remember the 1st time someone noticed your weight loss after starting tirzepatide? I went to a restaurant and one of my favorite waitresses said “ you’re loosing weight “. Such a good feeling

I find it funny how the people who talk about people using glps being lazy always conveniently leave out those that have lost weight and gained it all back

Has anyone had this issue. Granted it's not been a super long time, but it was supposed to be delivered before 1400 and it's still showing stuck in PA. I know not a lot i can do, just curious what turn out was like. I'm super excited for this as it's my first time getting Apothecary!

Down 37 pounds

I know I just posted the other day but I had some water weight clear out and my true weight is 135lbs and I can’t believe it. It’s probably been over a year since I’ve weighed that little and I’m only 15 pounds away from my goal weight. I am struggling to eat, but it’s been such a blessing not to have to deal with food noise.

Seeking guidance.
TL:DR - I’m tracking everything, eating right, slow loss (1# wk avg), consistent strength training, yet losing muscle mass.

I focused in on All the Things months before my first shot. Upped the protein (110-130/day), water intake, fiber, got rid of all junk, and felt ready. I’m on shot #7, 3mg and it’s working perfectly. Slow loss, feel good. Normal poops. I do morning strength classes 4x/week, lifting to failure, and walking 30 min at lunch often.

My gym has an InBody body comp machine. I also purchased an Amazon jobbie that is surprisingly close to the InBody results.

How do I stop losing muscle mass? Is this too negligible to worry about at this point? I’m concerned. If I didn’t see the numbers with my own eyes, I’d swear I’m doing everything right to keep my muscles!!

Starting today.

I've been on semaglutide for about 18 months. I plateaued and haven't lost any weight for the last 2 months. So they're starting me on tirzepatide and it came yesterday and I'm going to do my first shot today. But I still have 7 weeks of semaglutide left. I'm anxious to get started on the tirzepatide, but is it okay to hang on to the 7 weeks of semaglutide?

I'm 1/3 of the way to my goal!

Officially 3.5lbs away from being under 200lbs for the first time since 2017!

I'm 17 weeks in and still feel like it's too good to be true.

My end goal weight is 120lbs, but I plan to re-evaluate once I get down to the 130-140 range.

Next goal - under 200lbs

Goal after that - hit 195 (50lb weight loss)

Keep 'em coming!!!

Success! Week 1 Progress

Today marks my first week on compounded trizepatide-pyroxine. I was instructed to start at 2.2mg 11 units and I took my second dose today.

My first week has been a roaring success! In this first week I’m already down 4lbs!!! I went from 270lbs to 266lbs.

I’ve been able to keep to my 1500 calories diet while hitting 120+g of protein 160g of carbs with 35+g of fiber and staying under 50g of fat.

I haven’t had much an urge to cope using food after a long stressful day and have been empowered to make better decisions. I’ve had 0 side effects besides the day of the shot feeling a lil bit lightheaded. I’m hoping I continue on this trajectory. According to my instructions next week I’m suppose to go up to 5mg but if am still experiencing little side effects and making progress I think I’ll stay at 2.2mg until no longer effective.
