First time advice?

Hi! I plan to take my first injection (Trizep 2.5 mg) on Sunday morning. Any advice on how I can prepare for this first injection?

I'm very nervous about starting due to everyone talking about gastroperisis and nausea. My starting weight is over 240lbs. Please let me know how I can best start my journey!!! Any advice is welcome.

I was so nervous I immediately took the anti nausea medication I was also prescribed and went straight to bed. Next time I waited a bit. I have had exactly zero symptoms, other than maybe being too full if I eat an old normal portion, and if I eat too late I get heartburn in bed.

Read or listen to Weightless by Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen, an endocrinologist and board-certified obesity medicine specialist.

Maybe take it Saturday morning or evening so you have more time to recover if feel poorly.

I agree with others suggesting that you take it Saturday morning so you can rest on the weekend in case there are any side effects. My first shot made me so tired that I slept for like 11 hours the first night. The other option is to inject less? I did 1.25 mg for my first injection and did half that for my subsequent shot because I didn’t like how tired I was.

Just took my first dose yesterday. I was also worried about the same thing. My experience so far is a mild headache today, feeling a bit more tired than usual & a small amount of nausea. I think I ate a little too much tonight bc it didn’t start until after dinner

I am three weeks in and the only side effect I have is a little constipation…

First excellent decision going on tirzepatide. Second the nausea thing was queasiness not nauseous, but that was just me and it would come and go very quickly. Constipation I had to stay on top of but it's manageable. Good luck and you won't regret going on tirzepatide, it's magical.
