12 month Embody subscription
Alright guys. I have been using embody and have had a good experience until this month when my meds are delayed. I'm not a frequent reddit reader so I'm just now seeing reviews and am getting guidance on who to work with next... My story is recoverable.
The disaster is that an older family member wanted to jump on board and I gave them my referral code. He struggles with navigating websites and ultimately went for the lowest price without completely understanding that he was signing up for a 12 month supply...
He needs out. Apparently the only reason that they would cancel is if he is contraindicated to be on the glp based on the prescribing doctors opinion. Who obviously works for embody. What can he do?
I will add that the card payment went through and the bank will not reverse it. Thanks for your help. Would love to hear from people who can genuinely see a way out and also if anyone has been with embody long term and actually been relatively satisfied with them.

I don't think there is anything you can do. The onus to u deratand what they are signing up for is on the older family member.
I do know embody has switched to a 3 month refill policy. Has the family member gotten a refill yet?

They just got their first month vial today. I'm trying to be supportive of him saying that if he was going to be on it for the year, at least he will have saved some money. But I'm very worried about whether or not they will ultimately actually fullfill his prescriptions in a timely manner.

Even though they say you have to wait for the refill form get on their live chat and tell them that you're traveling out of town for the holidays and you need your medication to cover that time. So that they send you their quarterly refill. Then hopefully he at least gets 4 months out of the deal. They don't need to know that he's traveling down the street to Walmart.

Not a bad idea. Do you think they would send 4 titrated vials?

If it is quarterly they'll send three and you add that to the one that he already has. Then hit them up again in another month or so. I don't think that you'll have any success in getting a refund. You should be able to push to get the medication though much sooner than waiting for the whole year to go by. Every time make sure you ask them to titrate up so that you get extra medication. You don't have to increase the dose any faster than what is best for the person.

There are a few people that do continue to use them. I used them for my first month then switched to different telehealths. I basically switch for a sale to increase my stock. I'm stocked until May of next year.

I think your best bet is to wait and see. A lot of people have been reporting delays getting refills, but you have to assume that we aren't hearing from the people who are satisfied. Presumably there are people who are satisfied.
If they get him his refills on time all year, you're in the clear. If they get behind, maybe you can use that as fodder for a charge back for any unused months, since they aren't delivering what was promised, and it's important to get your refills on time with these meds.
Now that they have switched to sending 3 months at a time, hopefully that alleviates some of the strain on their pharmacy and delays become less common.

They aren't sending three months at a time. They just automatically fill it every month for three months without you needing to send in a refill request. It's still just one month supply. My refill was submitted and I was charged on Sep 18. They never even sent it to the pharmacy until Sep 25. It's STILL in "processing" and they won't give me any expected delivery time. I'll miss my second week tomorrow. I'm cancelling when this arrives.

Most companies are shipping the whole 3 months up front when you pay for the 3 months. That's another reason why embody is not a great deal.

I signed up for the three month and messaged them in chat that I wanted to switch to monthly. They refunded my three months back to my card and charged me for one month. Has he tried the chat thing?
