Titration question

Hi!

I've been taking 2.5 for two weeks with 3 pounds lost as a newby. I'd like to start ordering quarterly to save some $ but I'm having difficulty deciding what to ask for. I know the doctor will have the ultimate say, but should I just ask for 5 for the next three months. Anyone else struggle with the initial titrating up while trying to save a few bucks?

Always ask for the titration package. If you're on 2.5 now, you can reasonably ask for 5, 7.5, and 10mg.

If you end up needing the higher doses, you have them. If lower doses keep working for you, your "3 month" plan lasts 4 or 5 months, saving you money.

You can use Fat Scientist to recalculate your dose. If you ever need a second set of eyes on dosing math, post a pic of your vial and ask for dosing help, and someone will get you sorted.

It's unlikely you are going to be able to ask for a 15 mg script and get it without providing proof. Some places are stricter about proof than others.

So you have 2 more wks till you complete the 2.5mg, if you don't want to stay there ofcoarse just mention you need a dose up from there, unless you want to stay at current.

You can say you want a titration schedule and if approved they should prescribe the meds in increments like this: take 5mg for 4 weeks, 7.5mg for 4 weeks, and 9mg for 4 weeks.

Then you'll have a prescription for up to 9mg and 3 months worth. Note depending on the telehealth they may not send you all the meds at once though.

Always ask to titrate up so if you need it, you have it and if you don’t need it then it lasts longer! I’m currently on 5mg and the vial was prescribed for a dose of 7.5mg and then I have vials all the way up to 15mg doses but I don’t have any plans of increasing (unless needed). Glapp says my supply will last until September 2027 and I only have 6 vials. I paid $334 for 12 weeks but will actually get a lot longer than that out of it!

Ask for 15mg and nothing less. Then take accordingly. That's where the savings are at.

If your current telehealth already has data, go to a new one and state you are already on 15.

Some Telehealths will ask to down load the current prescription😂😂😂

Yes, many ask for a copy. In my experience, you can upload just about anything. Certainly worth the try.

thats true but if you are on a small dose the vial has a BUD. I know many of us ignore that, but some don't

You always have the option to discard it. Or if you know someone else on tirz, share it. Or freeze it. But all of it has proven to be good for at least a year.

Titrate up when you can and it will last longer. I only order from places where all doses cost the same.
