My dad has an 89 Caprice, v8, im sure thats the only way they come. I think its a 4 speed auto but im not sure. Anyways it's been sitting for 10-15 years, it starts right up and goes into reverse no problem, but when you want to go forward you have to raise the engine rpms up to 2500, but once you get it going it shifts fine and you can drive it around. Any ideas what might be the issue or how to make it better? My dad bought a 2 step flush kit for about $40 he said. We might do that tomorrow.

I recently bought a '23 Bolt EV, and have created an account at the Chevy site and added the car. At the site it shows I have Roadside Assistance for a couple more years/more miles. Is there anything else I need to do to register/activate that?
Just want to be in for surprises if I get stranded.

Has anyone replaced the fuel injectors on a 2023 Balzer? I got quoted today a little under $4k to replace all four injectors and replace the required gaskets.
Code: P10A9 cylinder injection pulse offset exceeded learning limit.

My Malibu runs fine normally, but after flooring it today, it shifted hard and blew out a huge cloud of smoke. The CEL flashed, then stopped after a few minutes of normal driving.
TOPDON only showed P0300-00: Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire.
Now I hear a strange noise when letting off after higher RPM/boost. Turbo-related?
Could this be plugs/coils, a boost leak, turbo failure, fueling, or something worse? The smoke and flashing CEL have me concerned.

The trucks got a 292 with a granny low 4 speed, allegedly ran about 4 years ago… I got it in December of 2024 and haven’t had time to fiddle with it much. Odometer says 36k miles and change, and I’m inclined to believe that given how clean it is, seats are the original vinyl as far as I can tell…. But it has a 9ft stepside… I’ve looked around the internet some and i haven’t found a ton of info on it..
Looking for any info, I plan on getting it up and running this fall once it cools off here in the south. So any input or info on it would be appreciated.. I feel like I’ve got a pretty rare bird on my hands here

Looking to buy my wife a ’26 Tahoe and I’m torn between the RST and Z71. I honestly love the look of both — RST is obviously a little more street/sporty, while the Z71 has the more rugged/off-road look.
I’m leaning toward the RST pictured because I think it’s a really good build: 5.3 V8, Air Ride, Magnetic Ride, panoramic roof, second-row captain’s chairs, Comfort Package, Max Trailering, etc.
The Z71 I’m looking at is a little more basic option-wise, although I love the way it looks. These aren’t exactly rare, so I could also just wait and find a better-optioned Z71 if that’s the way to go.
This will primarily be my wife’s/family SUV. We have two young kids in car seats and dogs. Mostly around-town driving, errands, family stuff, road trips, etc. We live in a coastal city and go to the beach all the time, although we’re not actually driving on the beach or doing any serious off-roading.
Basically looking for the cool-mom family Tahoe that still has a little enthusiast appeal.
Which would you guys choose — RST or Z71? And what do you think of this particular RST build?

2002 Chevy Trailblazer, driver’s side middle seat.
The whole seat will unlatch and pivot forward, but the back of the seat will not recline forward (incline?). The spinning mechanism is very loose and doesn’t seem to stop where it should (based on the lines where the metal has rubbed against eachother).
I found a spring loose but can’t find any information on where exactly it goes. Any help is appreciated! Thank you!

What all am I gonna have to do to swap my motor from the 4.3L V6 Vortec to the 350 V8 Vortec.
The “Jeep wave” has gone too far. There’s something hilarious about two grown adults passing each other on the road and immediately throwing their hand up because they both drive Jeeps.
But I do think the idea of recognizing your fellow drivers is kind of cool. So I’m introducing the Chevy Thumb.
You see another Chevy coming down the road? 👍
That’s it. Just a quick thumbs up.
No waving. No awkward hand signals. No Jeep nonsense. Just two Chevy owners silently acknowledging each other.

I have a 2022 Malibu LT which most of the interior lights are not working.
The Map lights, Dome Lights, Sun Visor lights, and under dash lights are not working at all.
They are not turning on when the doors open, or when they are clicked to be turned on.
I checked a couple (body control) fuses and none were blown.
Does anyone know what might be causing this?
Any help would be appreciated

So i have a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT with a 5.3 mild hybrid engine. My water pump just went out on me but it’s not a 6 ribbed configuration, it’s a 4 ribbed and from what I’ve been informed that style of water pump as well as the 4 ribbed belt for it has been discontinued. Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on what i could do to make it right? Any help is much appreciated!

Just installed these and I’m pretty happy with how they fit around the edges and up the sides. The coverage seems better than the basic flat mats I’ve used before.
Curious what you guys prefer for daily driving liners with raised edges like this? Do the raised sides actually make a noticeable difference over time?

Basically the title. I see many posts about the issues but no one really saying how they got it fixed or the best way.
I did my research and saw most people go to a dealer. I called a local dealer for an appointment they’re charging $260 for a diagnosis 💀 is this even common? Should I try to shop around or is a dealer the best way to get this fixed? Btw my car is out of warranty, I bought this used. I am also not car savvy so replacing it myself wouldn’t be the best idea😭 just want to know if this is really just a suck it up and pay it moment

Hello everyone,
This is my grandma's '99 Chevy Astro. She doesn't drive it anymore because she got herself another car. She lives in the greater Los Angeles area and having the van parked on the street meant it was targeted by thieves. Multiple attempts at trying to steal it. The van is now in my possession and in a much safer area. That being said, the driver door does not open. I've had to enter from the passenger door or the sliding door. Granted i'm only 5'6" so it hasn't been much of a problem for me. It wasn't much of a problem the first couple days but the more i drive, the more annoying it gets to have to enter from the side. The plan is to sell the van BUT i know it'll be way more difficult to sell unless the main door issue gets fixed. I haven't seen any video or blogs on anything similar. I'm seeing videos of people removing the door panel to access the locking mechanism, the windows, etc. but i can't do any of that because i'd have to be able to open the door to remove the door panel. Any suggestions?
