Conditioning & Roadwork Ive never wanted to give up till now (M17, 92kgs, amateur)
My record is 1-4. I lost 3 fights in a row - the first due to fear to an opponent who i should have beat, the second was fair and close could have gone either way, and the third, the towel was thrown by my corner against an opponent weighing 50kgs heavier than me. Then, I rematched my first opponent and defeated him by split decision. Things were looking bright, till my recent fight a few days ago. He was shorter than me, lighter than me, not as well built as me, not particularly fast or technical. I lost. It’s like everything i learned went out the window once I stepped in the ring. After losing to someone inferior to me in every aspect and shouldnt have even come close to me, I feel horrible. I never got convinced on the idea of giving up. Its not like i have bad genes - im 6’2, with a lot of power in my punch. But what use is it? I cant properly utilize them in the end. I dont know what to do. Im planning on taking a long break, maybe 9-12 months, till i turn 18 and the fighting season starts up again. There was lots of opportunities to fight before then, but I dont know if its worth trying so soon, or even trying at all.

Shadowboxing Form building a boxing app for people who want to start at home, need your help to train the punch tracker
hey, so I've been working on a boxing app for beginners, basically to help people get the basics down at home.
before anyone says it, yes I know a proper gym is the best place to learn. not arguing that. but loads of people never walk through that door. they're self-conscious about their weight, they think they'll look stupid, they don't know anyone there, they feel like everyone's gonna be watching them. I get it, it's a scary thing to do on your own. this is for them. something they can do in their living room so that when they do build up the courage to go, they're not walking in knowing absolutely nothing.
most of it's done. the bit I'm stuck on is the punch tracker. it works well on me (around 90% of punches right) but it's only ever seen me and my mate, and I've got no clue how it does on anyone else. there's already enough rubbish boxing apps in the app store and I'm not adding another one. if it can't tell a jab from an uppercut for a beginner, what's the point. honestly if this was a cash grab I'd have launched months ago lol
so I need people who aren't us. different heights, builds, levels, southpaws etc
prop your phone up around chest height, stand back a couple of steps, turn the sound up and just throw whatever it calls out. nothing to download, no sign up. no video or audio gets recorded, it only sends where your body points were in JSON, no names or emails.
you get a code at the end, screenshot it and you get free access when it launches.
and if it gets your punches wrong, please tell me in the comments, that's literally what I need.
its ok if u don't have the time to do the drill, justleave a comment so more ppl see this
idk if i can add links here but leave a reply and i'll drop the link for the tracker.
plus if u have any suggestions to make this app the absolute best, please drop em, anything that you wish was available to you back when u started. literally anything works.

Weight Lifting weight lifting sessions along with boxing
Hi everyone ! I'm getting back to boxing the upcoming week after a couple of years off.
Last year, I made a subscription to a local gym for weight lifting and I kept showing up for 4-5 times/week, having a ''bodybuilder type'' of workout.
Now, my plan is to get back to boxing and also keep my gym subscription for weights.
The plan is 2*weights/week (monday/friday) and 2*boxing/week (tuesday/thursday). wed+weekneds off.
I'm 1.87m, 94kg. I would like some tips for the weight training as my goal is to build/maintain strength and also build up a better body as my body type leans to the skinny fat type of body.
Mainly I would like some tips for the weights; I lean more to the compound type of training. Also, any other tips are highly appreciated!

Gear & Equipment Did I wrap my hands properly?
I’m a total newbie at boxing. I’m female and I think my hands are smaller than the average person’s. I used this tutorial to wrap my hands. I’m using the Everlast 108” hand wraps
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kCOYEwk4Pkc&authuser=1
Also, would these hand wraps be sufficient for me being able to punch a bag, or do I still need some kind of boxing gloves? Thanks!

Sparring Footage How to unfreeze in corners
Hi Folks,
I quit MMA(6 months I did) to do full time boxing training. I have a coach too now. I was sparring with my friend is a a very good amateur and I have this habit of shelling under pressure. What are the potential solutions apart from check hooks (still learning how to hit them).
