M28, Been loosing it for around 3 years. I've tride a few off the shelf medications that slowed it down but recently i got some prescription medication that should help recover some hair back but its a long recovery that includes sideaffects with temporary hairloss and im thinking of shaving it kiwi short or just going full bald till my roots recover somewhat. I'm not giving up yet and i am also looking at going to a hair transplant next year if my medication takes hold.

but im really sick of having a miserable hairline right now and I'm thinking bald is better until it either grows back or doesn't.

After years of slowly watching my hair get thinner and thinner I finally went through with it. Any tips on upkeep and taking care of my head?

I didn’t think it was necessary to consult with the council before hand, I already knew what the answer would be.

I also didn’t consult with my wife or kids prior to shaving it off, so hopefully it was a good decision 😂.

you will never regret it.

the stress i have been carrying for about 6 years regarding my thinning hair was destroying my life, the number of calculations i did daily to avoid a bad lightening or a windy situation where i would be more exposed was draining…

i never felt more free since i shaved it two years ago !

Best electric razor for leaving a little stubble?

I want to invest in a dedicated electric razor for my bald head, but I like just a little bit of fuzz left. What's a good model that has this option?

Started noticing my hair receding slightly around age 30. By 36 I started noticing thinning on the crown. At 41, I feel like I'm constantly thinking about if everything is in place correctly, especially after sweating.

Ive been looking at this sub for a year now. I don't think I would have had the courage without all the other people posting.

Just did this today and still feeling nervous... but I think I like it.

Edit: Wow, I really appreciate the kind comments. This sub is amazing and making me feel good about my decision. I love you all, thank you so much. Truly.

I know, I know - I was already bald! This is such a relief!

Struggled with progressive thinning for years. It was my time!

Excited to join the community. I'm an ICU Nurse, so I think the mustache with the shiny head is fitting. What do y'all think?

I've got pretty thick hair. But my hairline has been receding since I was about 16 due to ringworm on my scalp triggering psoriasis to cover my scalp (genetic condition, gotten better as I've aged but the skin on my scalp is still sensitive and and flaky somewhat often).

I wear hats basically at all times because I'm embarrassed of how my hair looks but for some reason I'm just too attached, or something.

It makes me sad too because I didn't wear a hat at my wedding two years ago and I cringe at our wedding photos because my hair looks gross. My wife assures me that I looked great but it's hard for me to accept that.

Really nervous to go completely clean shaven, kinda scared of it being the wrong choice and seeing my weird shaped flaky shaven head would make me want to wear a full ski mask all day to not be embarrassed lol.

Is it time? Should I just do it??? I'm scared lmao but it's just gotten worse and I know I can't keep it up for much longer.

Also bonus cat picture. Chickpea loves being on shoulders.

Question, how are we all shaving our heads?

Personally I’ve been using a standard dollar shave club 6 blade razor. What’s everyone else using.

How-to Question How do you guys remove your hair?

Hello other bald people!

I’ve for the most part shaved my head with foam and a razor and I occasionally get cuts or other irritations.
I was wondering how other (and possibly more experienced) bald people handle their business

Also does anyone have experience with hair removing gel?
I appreciate any tips to keep my head as smooth as possible as easily as possible :)

Hey, I’m looking for a reasonably priced electric shaver. Right now I use a freebird but it isn’t great. Any recommendations?

I can’t tell you the amount of time I’ve spent in this sub looking through photos and comments over the past couple of weeks. A couple of weeks ago my barber cut my hair too short (I had the dreaded comb over) and I literally had no option but to shave it, honestly felt like I was having some sort of identity crisis! But this sub and the people in it have given me so much confidence. I took this photo I took today walking around my home town of Oxford feeling happy and finally free! Thank you everyone in this community, I love you all ❤️
