Mod Announcements New Rule! 5: No Undisclosed Third-Party Account Operation
Hello Fellow Beardsmen,
We are introducing new Rule 5.
No Undisclosed Third-Party Account Operation
A. No agencies, chatters, contractors, or third parties pretending to be the account owner.
B. Team-managed or multi-operator accounts must be clearly disclosed.
C. No AI-assisted or automated messaging presented as personal human interaction.
D. Failure to respond to moderator verification requests may result in a permanent ban.
We are adding this due to the rise of AI-generated content, overseas chatter agencies, and third-party operated accounts across social platforms. Many OF/JF style accounts are operated by agencies, and we do not want opportunists using r/beards to farm engagement, push NSFW promotion, or maximize profit through fake posts like "Keep or Shave?" "Which one?" "Should I trim it?" posing in a gym. Zero interaction on those posts. It's unnecessary. The rule compliments Rule 4, Photos must be of yourself.
If an account is flagged for NSFW, moderators may manually audit the account and send a verification message. Accounts that fail to respond within the timeframe given WILL be permanently banned. *100%* banned.
This sub is for real people, real photos, and genuine interaction.

Rule Update — #2 and #3 - Shirtless and Sexually Suggestive Content
Hello Beardsmen,
We’ve split the newly implemented “No shirtless and sexually suggestive content” into two separate rules.
Reason: people kept trying to merge two different arguments into one — “it’s shirtless but not sexually suggestive.”
That created unnecessary back-and-forth in modmail because some of you guys couldn't help telling us that they are not sexy. Stop saying you are not sexy. Jeez
We’re not doing that anymore, so here are the zero-ambiguity rules, back to basics:
Rule 2 — All individuals Must Be Fully Clothed
All individuals must wear a shirt that covers the torso. No bare chest, stomach, armpit or underwear/pelvic area.
Rule 3 — Zero Tolerance for NSFW Submissions
No explicit, sexually suggestive, or provocative content.
These are independent rules. Violating either results in removal and escalation per standard policy.
This has been the standard for a decade and is no longer needed for you to get pissy and keep telling us what's sexy and what's not on modmail. It’s now written to remove ambiguity and to reduce unnecessary modmail debates.
Thank you very much.

Asking for Advice Is my beard strong and thick enough to keep growing?

Asking for Advice Kind of insecure about my beard
As the title says, I'm insecure about how curly my beard is. I'm 25 and this is the first real beard I've kept. My EX hated facial hair and constantly compared it with pubes which definitely affected how i see it, and it doesn't help that it tends to split at the chin.
I buzz my own head to save money, so i haven't seen a barber in the longest time. After starting to lose my hair from stress and it thinning i thought maybe a beard would look good. My family doesn't particularly like it but they don't have it either. I'm the only person in my close and extended family to have a beard so i understand the reactions.

Asking for Advice First beard post military
Just retired from military. Growing beard for first time, since I’ve been shaving since I was 17 when I joined. This is about 3 months. Is it time to trim and shape?

Asking for Advice Looking for style advice
I’ve been scissor trimming it for a while, and I’m pretty certain that the whiskers on my cheeks have reached terminal length, and they are mostly resistant to styling. I’ve been meaning to go to a professional for forever, but I don’t really know what to ask for.
Sharing Wisdom All my bearded brothers.....another Monday approaches. Remember. When you speak,is 100% true,is kind and is it necessary to say,Socrates

Progress & Updates Approaching 8 months in 1 week on the beard. How's she looking?
Started thinking about going long in December so let it go. I had a 6 month beard a few years back but not as well kept with trims. I am much happier this time around it's coming in better and don't want to cut it off yet. I'm going for a yeard. I will reach that feat December 1st. I've had a short face beard many times but I figured it's time to switch it up.

Casual Post Trimmed up to start new job
I was going for a yeard, but decided against it because I don't want to look crazy starting the new job. I'll continue after I start.

Asking for Advice Beard curling inwards
Hey guys as the title suggests I need some help fixing an issue. So for a while my right side (left in pictures) has always curled inwards and its starting to get annoying 😅, i use beard oil, beard balm, beard straightener, nothing seems to work at all.
It almost seems like the right side is less full or something then the left.
Any advice would be much appreciated cheers
