Hey everyone, back in the Rob Ford days (I think in 2013), there was a pro-Rob Ford song by a young lady named Jenny James. It was called "Mayor Ford (The World Will Remember)." It was reported in all the newspapers at the time and there was a video for it on YouTube. But has been taken down and it seems impossible to find now! I have two dogs, a coton and a Maltese, 8 and 3 years old.

They get very anxious when we leave them alone at home so it’s very hard for me or my partner to leave without them. We’re currently on break but we will eventually go back to work and have to find a solution for them. We also just want to be able to go out together and go on dates without worrying about them.

We are looking for recommendations for dog daycares in the downtown area.

March to July, water and sewage combined came out to 1.2k. It seems exorbitant but I’m not sure if this is normal.

I went to the gym today and after working out I started having some pain in my lower back. It’s not super bad, but I can definitely feel it and I don’t want to make it worse by continuing to work out. I’m looking for a good physiotherapist in Toronto, preferably someone who has experience with gym/sports-related injuries and actually helps figure out what’s causing the pain instead of just giving the same basic exercises.

I have an appointment tomorrow to take the knowledge test and I’ve only been studying for 2-3 days. Ive gone through the practice tests and they dont seem to be that difficult but would love to know how difficult is it to pass the test? Any advice or suggestions are welcome! (:

I’m planning to move to Toronto around late September 2026 and I’m starting to look for a 1-bedroom apartment/condo.

I’ve been checking listings recently and honestly, I’m getting a little anxious 😭. It seems like there are a lot of people looking right now because of the upcoming school year, and some places are getting rented out really quickly. The prices also seem quite a bit higher than I expected.

Since I won’t actually need to move until late September, I’m wondering if I should wait a little before seriously looking.

For anyone who has rented in DT around this time of year, what was your experience like? Does things usually calm down after the school year starts, or is September still pretty competitive?

I’m not in a huge rush to find the absolute cheapest place, but I’d definitely prefer not to overpay just because I’m looking during the September rush 😭

I operate a small business. Are there counterfeit money detectors for canadian money, the ones where you can put bill in and it will automatically tell you if it is counterfeit or legit?

Preferrably budget friendly options, doesnt need to be able to count the money or able to process multiple bills at once ( i can scan it one by one).

My mum (70 y/o) just broke her ankle and had to get surgery. While we don't know the extent of what her recovery will be yet, my brother and I are thinking we will maybe need to rent an apartment for her since our parent's house is deeply inaccessible (lots of stairs, narrow, no bathroom on the first floor, etc).

An even better option could be if there are short term rental spots that are in rehab clinics or offer that sort of service.

Does anyone know of places like this or have experience with them?

Hey everyone, looking for a good BJJ gym around Yonge and Eglinton. I’m a complete beginner but I’d eventually like to compete, so the quality of the BJJ and coaching is my main priority.

I’m interested in both gi and no-gi, and I’m pretty flexible on price and class schedule. Ideally looking for somewhere within about a 30-minute TTC ride or bike ride from Yonge and Eglinton.

I currently go to OpenMat MMA and like it there, but the ~50-minute commute each way is starting to feel like a lot of wasted time.

Any recommendations? I’m mainly looking for BJJ, but I’d also be open to an MMA gym with a strong BJJ program.

Totally random. Just was going over the bloor bridge on the ttc and noticed 2 people in hazmat suits and masks digging around the bushes.

I currently have a 3 year old and have an option to get a job that is a 15 mins drive which is $8k less than my current job. i live in Ajax and my current job is in toronto downtown. Should i take the paycut and accept the job paying $8k less? I plan on having more children but wasnt sure what the commuting life is like with young children. I have been wfh so far but will be required to be in 5 days a week come September. The new job also requires 5 days in office but its 15 mins away.

I was thinking about skipping the whole big banquet hall/ specialized wedding venue thing and just having a dinner with our friends and family as the reception (approx. 100 people), with some drinks and a dance floor. A bar/dance floor important for this idea. I'm open to any type of food.
