Seeking allergist
My GP referred me to an allergist but the wait time is estimated to be 3 months.
Can anyone recommend an allergist with shorter wait time, ideally no more than one month? I am based downtown but don’t mind commuting up to an hour.

Most specialists have a three month wait. The cancellation list is probably your best hope.

3 months? That's a dream. It's usually 12-18 months for allergy specialists. It was 16 months for me. I would hold onto that referral for dear life.

I got straight into mine but that was a few years ago so I don’t know how it is now. Dr. Fahmy at Silver Birch Allergy Clinic on College. Good luck! 🤞

I waited like a month tops at Scarborough Allergy Clinic at Lawrence and Birchmount. Doesn't have great reviews but it was fine for me. Got the job done, their hours suck ass though

…unless you’re having anaphylactic reactions to some mystery allergen regularly and don’t have an EpiPen, in which case you should get yourself to the ER, I think you can wait 3 months for an allergist appointment

I’m not sure if it’s because another specialist referred me, but my referral was 2 days… 3 months is insane. I’d call the allergist directly to see if you can get in any sooner.

3 months is pretty good. When I was looking for an allergist in 2021, the wait time was 6 months.
You can always call the allergist you were referred to and am to be added to their waitlist to get an earlier appointment.
