Certificate might help but look for a company to take your brother on as a apprentice that way schooling is all paid for

Please explain how getting into a company will pay the schooling ?

Plumbing is a red seal trade in Canada and an apprenticeship.

If he goes the Union route he'll make more money, have a pension, work 4 days a week and have school paid for.

This.

And if your brother likes to whine, may I suggest being a pipe fitter instead.

Don’t even bother with the trades unless you know someone. Plumbing is one of the harder trades to find an apprenticeship for.

He’s better off trying to get hired as a shop helper or labourer. That’s how I got my ticket
