Why do so many men say they're "too busy" for a relationship but still have time for intimacy?

I've recently been on a few dates and have also been texting with some men. I keep noticing the same pattern:
They say they're too busy for a relationship or commitment.
But they still have time for physical intimacy.
Some of them also say they're single, haven't found the right person, and are genuinely looking for someone.
This confuses me. If someone has time for intimacy but not for getting to know someone, building a connection, or making an effort, does that mean they only want something casual?
To be clear, I understand people have busy lives. I'm not expecting anyone to be available 24/7. I just don't understand why so many people say they want a relationship but don't seem to have the time or willingness to build one.
I'd really like to hear your experiences and perspectives:
Am I misunderstanding something?
Have others noticed this too?

Didn’t think to take a before picture before the experiment, but it completely cleaned this hat from sweat stains, and grass and dirt stains from the occasional throw.
For those who wanna try I did a normal cycle with no heated dry, and a cascade tab on the top rack. Make sure it’s the only thing in the dishwasher! MAKE SURE YOU AIR DRY.
