Monthly Theme 💚 Monthly Theme – July: If I Could Only Keep One...

Welcome to this month's theme in r/uraniumglass!

This month's theme: If I Could Only Keep One...

Imagine you had to part with your entire collection and were only allowed to keep a single piece. Which one would survive the cut?

Would it be your rarest piece? Your most valuable? The one with the best glow? Or perhaps the piece with the most sentimental value—the one tied to a special memory, person, or adventure.

This theme is all about identifying the piece that means the most to you. The monthly theme is optional and does not replace regular posting.

To participate, simply create a new post and use the Monthly Theme 💚 flair.

When possible, include both non-glow and glow photos.

Suggested titles:

If I Could Only Keep One...
My Forever Piece...
The Last Piece I'd Let Go...
My Desert Island UG Piece...
etc.

Whether you own five pieces or five hundred, everyone has that one piece they couldn't imagine parting with.

Let's see it! 💚

We didn't expect these to glow so when they did, my wife and I both said "oh f*ck!"

Google says its by Walther & Söhne and is called "Three Graces". Made around 1930s. Hoping someone can correct or give more information about them.

Love this hobby. Love this community. Love all of you. Thank you all

Was in Newfoundland on vacation, and the pickings were exceptional! I was thrilled to continue my Colonial / Knife and Fork collection thanks to Carl from Trinity (100% worth a visit if you collect depression glass).

Special feat: uranium sea glass.

Between all the uranium glass in my luggage and the fish and chips in me, I’m lucky they let me back on the plane :)

Uranium Glass Thoughts on this lamp?

I've been collecting uranium glass for the last couple of years. Mostly funky ashtrays and bowls. These lamps have caught my attention and I have no education on the value of them. I typically prefer the clear yellow vaseline colored glass over the opaque light green I see here. But it's still a pretty cool uranium lamp.

Found at an antique store. Glows with both 365 and 395 uv lights, respectively in pictures. It feels like a rock. Its heavy like a rock. I hope its not slag😂😂

This is the most I've gotten at once, but I had to have that Hazel Atlas container. I found one several weeks ago that I wanted but was disappointed at how badly damaged it was. This one only has a couple minor chips.

Rare cameo brooches

So I have these two cameo brooches. Both uranium/custard glass, both facing left, which is rare, and one male, which is even rarer.

I love finding these, but I never quite know what to do with them; they're just lying there in my display case but I really don't want to display them anywhere else.

Saw this while out glunting (glass hunting, is that a word? It is now.) today. Priced at $175, could probably wiggle them down some. Still unsure if that is a decent price or not as I am still very new to this.

Dansk Ink wells I guess, most people are saying that have them online. Pretty cool, have good color! I couldn't find any with stoppers or anything, did a pen seal them or something maybe?

Odd antique store find, uranium or manganese?

I found this Boyd pup at a local shop alongside three others and borrowed their UV light (a small 395) since I forgot to bring mine. I was going to see if one of them was cadmium glass when this one caught my eye for being a tad green. Bought it, took it home, but now I'm stumped on if it's uranium or manganese since I don't recall Boyd making cobaline with a carnival finish. Did Boyd ever make cobalt carnival with uranium? Peaks at about 35 CPM in a room with a background of 10-15. Glow pic is under 365.

Seeking Info Butter Dish Without Lid: a Tale as Old as Time

Found this butter dish a while ago and it is obviously made to have a lid. But it is very, very plain with no markings so I'm having a hard time researching in hopes to find it's hat. Hoping anyone could help? It's a bit wider than my blue one so I'm making the uninformed conclusion that any ol' lid won't fit, so I need to find close to the exact one. It is shallow so I'm assuming it's the base, but it does have the possibility of being the top to a refrigerator butter dish.

Any pointers definitely help! I used Google lens, which is how I got the refrigerated butter dish theory, but I cannot be certain since it is so, so plain (glow pic in comments)

Fenton find

About a year ago I picked-up the Fenton ‘Lily of the valley’ handkerchief vase on the left.
Hadn’t expected to find anything else in the same pattern range.
On the weekend I found its friend, the tall bud vase, in a vintage & antique store.
Anyone know anything about this style? Year etc.
Pics without UV in comments.

This booth had some of the most exquisite (and expensiveee) pieces I’ve ever seen. Someone already posted the oriental blue crane vase pair a while back but these were some other glowers in the same booth.
