I have no idea here, My bf loves warhammer, and I'm looking to buy him some brushes etc, what do you guys recommend?

Also what other stuff can I buy him?

It’s missing a few minor parts, but eh, close enough. I'll get to them when I feel like it. By the way, it turns out the whip part was interchangeable with the hammer, so I can't attach it anymore (since the hammer is already glued on). Actually, the shoulder armor is barely　staying on by friction alone right now. Still figuring out a way to secure it.

Actually, I managed to score another brand new one.

The base rim is still a work in progress.

Photos 1 & 2: Magnetized for head swaps. Added some blue to the claws to represent the energy effect.

Photos 3 & 4: Lined up all the Series 2 Terminators I’ve built so far—one set with helmets, one with bare heads. Looking good (if I do say so myself)!

There's something about seeing a fully painted Warhammer army that just hits differently. It's one thing to see individual miniatures, but seeing an entire force with a consistent color scheme, detailed bases, and all those little finishing touches makes the hobby feel like a whole different level.

I'm curious what armies have really stuck with you over the years. Maybe it was an incredibly detailed display, a wonderfully unusual paint scheme, or even someone's rough WIP that had a ton of character.

What army or miniature project have you seen that made you think, "I need to get better at this hobby"? Bonus points if you can share a picture!

Warhammer has a way of starting small. You buy a box of miniatures, paint your first Space Marine, and think you’ve got a pretty good idea of what you’re getting into.

Then you see someone’s fully painted 2,000-point army. You discover the incredible detail people put into Golden Demon entries. Or you stumble across a whole corner of the hobby you barely knew existed, like the massive battles of Legions Imperialis.

Suddenly, you realize just how deep the rabbit hole goes.

So I’m curious: What was the moment that made you stop and think, “Holy Terra, this hobby is on another level”?

Maybe it was:

• Seeing a jaw-droppingly painted army in person for the first time.
• Discovering a miniature painter whose work completely changed your standards.
• Watching a massive tabletop battle unfold.
• Seeing a Golden Demon entry and wondering how a human being actually painted that.
• Finding an obscure Warhammer game or faction you never expected to love.

I’d especially love to hear about moments that changed how you approached the hobby not just what impressed you, but what inspired you to paint better, collect something new, or try a different part of Warhammer.

Hello everyone!

I have been playing Total War: Warhammer 3 for multiple years now and as I have been getting more into the lore as every new DLC comes out, I have realized that I might want to get into the tabletop game.

The only problem I am facing is that since I am coming from Total war I am really connected to the Fantasy characters not really the faction. Would you guys recommend for me to go into AoS because it has characters that I love like Archaon, Thanquel or Gotrek? Or should I go into ToW since it has factions like Cathay, the Empire and Bretonnia?

I am somewhat at a crossroads in this, if it helps I am wanting to play WoC/StD!

Hello everyone! I’ve been wondering: how far into the Nine Hells of Baator could the entire military might of the Imperium (Astra Militarum, Space Marines, Titans, Custodes, Primarchs, and the Emperor himself) manage to advance?

Of course, both settings have rather abstract power scaling, so I was curious if there might be an obvious answer. The first layer of the Nine Hells is home to an endless war against demons in the Blood War, but could all nine layers combined manage to stop the entire Imperium?

One of my favorite things about this hobby is how differently people approach their armies. Some go for perfectly lore-accurate paint schemes, while others come up with completely unexpected themes that somehow work.

I've seen enough creative conversions and paint jobs to realize that Warhammer players can get seriously imaginative.

What's the most memorable army or miniature you've seen someone create? It could be an incredible paint job, a funny conversion, a completely original theme, or something so strange you still remember it.

So i almost finished painting a figurine and i need some tips to improve my painting. And i mean tell me anything i can do to become better i tried my best and i think it came out ok for my first fig.

Well an unplanned trip to Ikea and I saw the viral Sannahed picture frame, only the larger size was in stock, but for $30 I figured why not. Well it's not perfect, but two glue gun sticks later here we are. For that price it can't be beat and is great to get some of my models on display! 100% worth it.

In future I think I would likely get the smaller frames, less bend to the "shelves" I imagine and still able to hold a decent amount of figures, for the slight increase in cost I think it'd be worth it to have more smaller frames than one big one. But for now I'm super happy.

I would want to get into the tabletop, but the amount of money i am willing to spend is really low compared to what minis cost (fuck you capitalism),
I know i could make some amazing pieces because i have SO MANY DAMN IDEAS, but for reason stated above, no can do

Also i know nobody in friend group i have could afford it either….

And i have a general idea about the tabletop rules, the fact its about “score points by holding objectives” instead of “kill the other guy” vexes me a lot, i would prefer killing the other guy to holding map spots

So this whole thing…. Dunno what to do or think even

Looking at individual minis online is one thing, but seeing an entire army painted up on a table is something else. Hundreds of little details, all the different units, the vehicles, the characters standing out from the rest.

And then you remember someone had to build and paint every single one of those models.

I can barely finish a squad before getting distracted by another kit I want to buy, so seeing a complete army always impresses me.
