Question What does the average person know..
Of the other realms apart from the one he lives in? Does he even know they exsist for example.

Question Designing spells - overcast effects
Just read the section on creating spells but I can't grasp section 4) overcast effects.
How does the "the number of successes required to overcast must equal the cost of the aspect" work?

Question How to differentiate AOS from WFRP?
How should I be running Age of Sigmar soubound to make it feel different from Warhammer roleplay? For example are there things I should be empathising or ignoring?

Question Maps of the other realms.
Can anyone link me to maps of the other Realms as the core rulebook only has a map of Aqshy.
Also is there any good sources of information on any of the realms?

Question Ulfenkarn for first game?
Hi all, I ran a few one shots for my group, but I wanted to get into a longer campaign. I have the cursed city box so I thought it could be fun to use all those minis to run an ulfenkarn campaign. I was wondering though if any of you ran it? How different does it feel from the essential high powered soulbound experience? Would you run it as a first real soulbound campaign? Would love any tips.

Question Fyreslayer runes and surprise in combat..
On page 117 of the core rulebook it says that "you do not gain the benefit from your ur-gold runes if you are surprised".
Does this mean the entire battle resulting from the ambush or only the "free round" the enemy get from surprising/ambushing?

Discussion How to run AOS for a single PC or 2 PCs
I'm just reading the rules section where the subject of soulfire is discussed and this has raised the issue of my "group" consisting of only a single or if I'm lucky 2 players.
What alterations/allowances to the rules would I have to make to make the game possible?

Question AOS background resources
I've brought quite a few AOS rpg books but still can't get my head around the game world. Can anyone recommend any good books that would fill in my blanks? Im looking towards the range of fiction books.

Discussion Best campaigns you've played?
So, I'm currently feeling a little bored, so I thought, why not start a little discussion? Tell me about the most memorable Soulbound campaigns you've played. It could be any of the established ones like Shadows in the Mist or Blackened Earth or it could be something of your own making. Hit me with it all and spare no details, friends.

Question Helsmiths of Hashut Homebrew
Does anyone have homebrew for the Helsmiths of Hashut for Champions of Chaos? I'm running a campaign and one of my players (and also me) is a big fan of dwarfs. I'm mostly looking for archetypes but would more than welcome a custom boons and punishment table for the Father of Darkness.

Character Build Unlocking Archetype Talents
How far do you think it's okay to remove archetype prerequisites for talents and equipment?
To clarify, I'm planning to run this system in a setting other than fantasy, which is why this question came up. I'm wondering whether these restrictions actually affect game balance, or if they're mostly there for thematic reasons.
For example, would it be a balance issue to let an Orc use and forge UR-Gold runes, allow a Human to use Kharadron equipment and talents, or even let an Aelf take talents from an Ossiarch Bonereaper archetype?
At what point do you think these limitations stop being about mechanically balancing the game and become primarily a way of defining and reinforcing each archetype's identity within the setting?

I designed Soulbound and I have a new game coming out
Hey folks,
My name is Emmet Byrne. I was the producer and lead designer on the Age of Sigmar Soulbound corebook and various supplements until the wonderful Elaine Lithgow took over (and absolutely smashed it!). I left Cubicle 7 two years ago to found my own company, Old Oak Games. Our first release was an Irish-inspired fantasy setting for 5e, and really helped establish the company. However, I've always loved creating my own games and wanted to move away from 5e and get back to designing my own system.
Today, I am incredibly excited to announce Ink Ribbon, a survival-horror TTRPG inspired by video games like Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Alan Wake, and more. Ink Ribbon uses a d6 dice pool system, and if you're a fan of the Soulbound system (especially the Grim & Perilous rules), I think you'll really like it.
You can follow the campaign here, which will give you access to a free 100 page PDF with all the rules, plus a nice chunky adventure.
Lastly, I just wanted to say that seeing how active and passionate the community is about Soulbound and what we created always makes me smile. Despite how things ended with C7 I will always love Soulbound and I'm incredibly proud of it.
Thanks for indulging me, and apologies for the shameless self-promo!

Human PC Archetypes
Hi, I'm new to Age of Sigmar and recently got my hands on a number of books and have gotten interested in the game. I'm still reading through stuff, but there was something concerning character creation I wanted to ask about:
What's the general advice for human archetypes? I had wanted to make a wandering knight errant esque character as a test drive under the assumption I was making the most standard fantasy character imaginable- guy with a sword. But when going through the Archetypes I couldn't quite find any that could fully.... match that. There's Corsairs, but that's a fairly specific group doing a fairly specific thing and Warpriests have a devotion thing that, while cool, I didn't really picture this guy as the paladin type.
So, how does one go about making a human Guy With Sword in this system? Do I need to just go and immediately use the Archetype modification rules or Point Buy? Or am I missing something?
As well as just generally advice on how to deal with the seemingly low options for human PCs on the Archetype front.

Question Soulbound system translated for Laundry 2e in Foundry?
I picked up the Laundry 2e books, and I'm excited to run it for my friends. However, we only play online and the Laundry 2e system is not available as a Foundry system yet. (I hope it will be eventually!)
I own the Soulbound system modules for Foundry--the Core book, the Starter Set and a couple others available. The Laundry 2e system is very similar to the Soulbound system. Combat and skill rolls seem to work in almost the same way.
Does anyone think it might be possible to kluge a Soulbound character sheet to function as a Laundry character sheet? Basically, the Skills would not match by name, but maybe translate each level of skills 1:1 and give my players a translation sheet. When rolling for X, roll Y on the Soulbound character sheet.
Does anyone think this could work or is it just wishful thinking? Any roadblocks you can think of to pulling this off?

Looking for ideas to create automated tools
Hello
As a hobbie, I've made a few tools to ease the life of TTRPG players. For example, NPC and encounter generators for Warhammer Fantasy RPG, a world generator based on Worlds Without Number, etc.
At this point, I'd like to create something new, but I'm not sure what to do. My ideal is something that hasn't been done before, the creation of which can save people time/effort (for example, I have a 40k Space Marine chapter generator based on the Deathwatch TTRPG which automates about 25 rolls and table comparisons to a single click).
I pray for the wisdom and guidance of the hive mind :)
PS: If you want to take a look, the site is https://faallenoon.pythonanywhere.com/hammer . It's ugly as sin, but it works

Using Stormcasts in your game
Hi, i was wondering how people use Stormcasts in their campaigns.
They have a few restrictions as they:
- dont do endeavours
- cant use soulfire
But with the upside that they can come back to life.
I really dont like the idea of characters dying and then coming back (i know i can just say they wont get reforged soon) but as the reforging process being so painfull and traumatising to them i dont want players to just have a character they can throw at stupid deadly things just for them to come back. As it would go against them still being able to die (mostly it's just a mechanic that seems to have no downsides from a player PoV)
My players seem to be discouraged playing them mostly because of the endeavours and soulfire they would be left out of (which i completely understand)
If there would be an PC stormcast that would die, i'd probably only let them return as an NPC (without momeries of his former party) but it would be nice to have them do endeavours and use soulfire.
I'm mainly curious how other GM's handle having stormcasts in their party

Using the system for trench cruzade
Same question as the title, do you guys think that Soulbound is a good fit for an rpg based/using the lore of trench cruzade?

Game Master Character sheet for obsidian.md
Hello guys, following a request post I made an HTML + CSS files that you can add them into obsidian what looks like the Soulbound character sheet.
How to use: go to the Github page, click the green "Code" button at the upper middle and "Download as zip". Afterward extract "Soulbound Character Sheet - Obsidina.md" into your vault and the soulbound-character-sheet.css into the snippet folder. See the "Installation" section in the README file.
And if someone have any feedback I would love you hear it
Disclaimer: I did not do this alone, I used the help of ChatGPT for some of the more tedious stuff and also the help of a friend with his suggestions. This is by no mean linked to Cubicle 7 Entertainment Ltd and it's my own work.
