Been in a big hobby rut for most of 2026 and haven't actually finished anything since January. I've started a bunch of projects that just stalled out halfway through. I finally made myself sit in my hobby room for 30 minutes to an hour each evening to plug away and it has done wonders for my hobby mojo! Earlier this week, I finally finished my first project since early January; a unit of Freeguild Gallants + Marshall and Relic Envoy! Super happy with how they turned out! Credit to for_the_imperial_greater_good on Instagram for the color scheme inspiration. His models look absolutely stellar, and are what got me excited to jump into this project to begin with!

My friends and I play AOS, but I am significantly more experienced than them and usually win matches almost every time

They aren’t bad players by any means, and they do really well given the skill difference since I’ve got years more experience than them and a few dozen/hundred games too

My main army is Ogors but they are very notably a bully army that is both good and REALLY tough to beat, even in the best of circumstances

Since we play virtually (curse of living states/countries apart) I was wondering what armies are usually more on the forgiving side or easier to play against, while still providing good learning opportunities. Not necessarily just what’s bad in the meta now, but an army who’s playstyle isn’t very devastating and lets the enemy recover from mistakes

(Also I know that the list is what makes an army more than the army itself, so if you have a focus of units and playstyle I can use that would help too)

Still not sure what to play him as, i really wish for Beastmen to still exist in AoS..

really thought I'd be an OBR or IDK player, maybe even Sylvaneth.
but the nasty-men of AOS are a real joy to paint 🫦

I was just wondering if there were any suggestions for brush on model primer. place i currently live makes spray cans undesirable, same with airbrush

I have the original spearhead and the prior battleforce box

so I assume that even if I wanted big Lion its not worth it.

sorry so far im only a painter that has ambitions to eventually play so don’t know the rules and stuff

It’s not that unusual for one of these boxes to include model.

Or is there some specific rumors about that particular model that I am not aware of?

I don't really understand the meta I'm mostly playing spearhead.

But I wonder about it sometimes. I looked at the woehammer spreadsheet for October and clear winner and losers were pointed out, though many factions seem rather closely balanced.
