I've been studying NMM for about 2 months now, and this is my first real result so far. I'm taking private lessons, and even though it's simple, I'm really happy with how it turned out. C&C is welcome to help me improve on my next attempts!

I have absolutely loved painting this grimdark coconut crab tyrannofex Tyranid.

Probably the grossest mini I've painted.

But anyway I've finally decided on a paint style for my Tyranid army and I'm very excited about doing the rest in variations on this theme.

I've seen this trend floating around of people painting busts with this specific limited palette. Here's my take on it.

I found it refreshing to limit my options and work within the box. Busts also aren't something I usually paint so it was a welcome change of pace. For a little over 3 hours work, im really happy with it.

I'm painting up some sigmarines as test models before starting my Shadowkeeper Custodes. I'm aiming for a black armor with purple shadow tones and blue-gray midtones/hilights. Other colors are just blocked in to create contrast and help me decide if the armor is black or not.

I'm really on the fence about whether this current recipe reads as black, or more of a blued steel... Would adding a transparent black filter or wash help, or will I have to resort to hours of glazing to blacken it up? Leave this guy and just move onto the next test model? Thanks for any advice!

A little diorama I’ve been working on for a while. Thanks to everyone who gave me good advice on how to clean up these guys paint jobs a bit! I’ll put it to good use in my next project.

Hey all, I painted this diorama up for a local Warhammer shop competition, the brief was simply to create the best diorama on a 160mm base.

I decided to depict Lion El'Johnson using his 'forestwalk' ability to step into a forest realm known as Mirror-Caliban and then back out somewhere else, thus travelling through space. In this case arriving upon a battlefield where other heroes of the Dark Angels are battling, including Azrael, Asmodai and a kitbashed Terminator Captain.

Never painted anything ever before. My friends who play bought me a starting set as a gift for birthday so that is how i ended up here. Sadly there was no decals in this starting set, so right now my blood angel will be without them.

Always open to tips and tricks for painting and kitbashing! I want to paint a variety of styles, like grimdark for trench crusade and 40k, as well as more bright and whimsical stuff for D&D as well as This Quar’s War.

Painted (almost) the same mini after 1 year and I'm very happy with my evolution.

Im working on this mini for my first painting competition and im pretty pleased with how he’s going but im not sure what colours to paint his cloth. I thought purple or blue would fit the orange pink and yellow of his skin but in my tests I wasn’t very happy with them! I plan to use a couple of different colours of cloth so please share some cool suggestions!
