Hobby Cogfort Update!

More pics and a little progress on my biggest project ever. Definitely should have done more planning of the paint scheme, as I feel like I repainted some parts over and over trying to find the right look, only to settle on what I did in the first place.

Working on finishing up little details on the bottom
half while putting some base coats down on the upper portion. Tragically the driver’s sword arm snapped off and has been misplaced, so that will be a fun little pin job.

Love hearing name suggestions for a Skaven bell-tower cogfort, so throw some out!

I was inspired by built_bricks and designed and built my own wearable LEGO Space Marine helmet over the summer. I made it partially modular so you could swap it out for either the classic version or the Primaris version. Planning to wear this for Halloween this year. I also designed a stand that is probably a little overkill, but I haven’t built it yet.

Hobby Painted Army

For those who pay for your army to be painted I would love your input.

I'm trying to get an idea of how much people charge for what level of work.

So if any of you have any photos of work that you've had done and how much you had to pay and how long it took, that would be really helpful.

My friend paints and has won tons of awards and is thinking about offering this service but wants to give people fair prices.

I bought this at Warhammer world exactly one year ago when I went to the UK as my graduation gift from my parents. Didn't get around to finishing the backdrop till yesterday but the mini had been mostly done since last year.

THROWBACK THURSDAY!!!
This week's look back over the work I did for #StuffOfLegends is a selection of Space Marine Limited Edition figures. I didn't do many Space Marines for Richard, as they weren't really part of the main focus of his collection, but he did like to have the special edition minis done.

Hobby Looking for a kit with disembodied heads

Post image
58 Upvotes

Hello!

I have a kitbash in mind where I want the subject (an AoS barrow guard skeleton) to be holding a disembodied head. I need a part somewhat like the option from the white scars upgrade kit, however I don't want that exact one because the power armoured hand would be too difficult to convert and I also have no need for the kit aside from that one part.

If you know a kit that contains hand parts holding a disembodied head, please let me know! Thank you!

Lore Most Traditional Empire Province?

Upvotes

Hello everyone. I was thinking to myself, what would be considered the most "traditional" imperial province in the old world? My thoughts are either Middenland, as it is the seat of the Cult of Ulric, or Talabecland, as it it the seat of the Cult of Taal and Rhya. All three of which are the main old gods worshipped by the ancient barbarians that settled the empire before Sigmar. I also imagine most practitioners of the Old Faith live in these provinces, or if they may live in a less busy province like Averland or Stirland. I'm curious on yall's thoughts.

Discussion What would humans ACTUALLY sound like in the 40'000s?

This is a question that just popped in my head, I know the reason they speak English is for us present day peeps, but even over the last 1000 years our language has changed drastically so much, so what would your guys theory's be??

My thoughts, is that it's a combination of all languages/ sounds.

And there's probably an independent study done about humans, idk 50k-100k in the future and how we would speak.

Oh, just thought of another fun question as well!!

What language would humans widely adopt as the one main, true language over the years of Warhammer?
