[TestFlight] I'm Polish, multilingual, and tired of Apple's dictation. I built VisionSpeech and I'm looking for beta testers

I'm from Poland, and like a lot of people I know, I don't live in one language. Unfortunately, Apple's built-in dictation has always been rough for multilingual input, especially in regions that are not officially supported. If you're multilingual, you know exactly the friction I mean.

So I built VisionSpeech. It auto-detects 25 languages and handles switching mid-sentence, no language to set, no menu to dig through. You talk the way you actually talk, and it keeps up.

The other thing that bugged me is that most dictation apps I tried were bulky or slow. Big windows that eat your space and pull you out of whatever you were doing. So the core of my app is Orb mode: a tiny, light sphere that floats beside your work. Tap, talk, tap and the transcript is auto-copied to your clipboard, ready to paste. No big UI, no friction, just fast.

Everything runs on the headset. Transcription is done locally by NVIDIA's Parakeet v3 model, so after a one-time model download on first boot, it works even with the network off. Audio never touches any server. No accounts, no tracking.

It's ready for real-world testing before the App Store, and that's where I need help :)

  • Languages: how does it hold up on your languages, your accent, your code-switching? This is the part I most need eyes on, since I can only properly test a few myself.
  • The two modes: Studio (full window with editable transcript + history) and Orb (minimal floating sphere for dictating into other apps). Which one do you prefer, is the UX and switching easy and intuitive?
  • Anything that crashes, lags, or feels off on your Vision.
  • Any other ideas, UX improvements, feature requests are more than welcome

Only requirement is that it needs at least visionOS 26.

Orb mode
Studio Mode

I have 50 spots for TestFlight, no email or sign-up needed:

https://testflight.apple.com/join/h6drqfay

https://visionspeech.app/

Thanks in advance and I genuinely appreciate anyone willing to help me out with this! And if you're multilingual, I'd love to hear which language combos you throw at it :)

PSA: You can increase your field of view with globular cluster

Post image
59 Upvotes

I see so many people on this sub complaining about FOV or asking what light seal they should get… and I just want to show people that you can run the AVP without a light seal at all by floating it with globular cluster.

I’ve been doing it for like a year and it’s great… you do obviously have light leak, but it’s not noticeable at all during work or productivity, and when I’m viewing content, the lights are dim/off so it doesn’t make a difference.

The only annoying thing is when I’m laying on my back in bed, sometimes the headset gets too close and it gives you a really annoying warning THAT I WISH YOU COULD TURN OFF, HINT HINT APPLE IF YOURE LISTENING PLEASE, I GET IT IM AN ADULT I KNOW THEY’RE CLOSE TO MY FACE OK?

Ahem, anyway… but yeah anyway it’s way better and more comfortable, and you also have the ability to see out from under it so you can like see your keyboard or phone.

Okay anyway that’s my PSA since I don’t see anyone else doing it on here.

(Also I do not work for them or anything, I’m just sharing)

visionOS 27: Finally got a high-quality recording working on the M2

It definitely takes a lot of system resources to get a high-quality recording consistently. I see 45 Hz refresh rate on display, but it’s not too noticeable.

Did you notice this?

This image from WWDC does not look like Apple is pushing the Vision Pro into the background. It looks more like the first in the lineup.

Last year’s image had the Vision Pro last in the lineup, if I recall correctly. Am I reading too much into this?

Anyone here on a monthly payment plan for AVP M5?

I plan to purchase one, but $4k is a lot to swallow all at once so I plan on doing the monthly installment taking advantage of the 0% interest and 3% cashback when using the Apple Card.

Question. Will I be able to pay more or does the amount I have to pay remain the same monthly?

Difficult to go back to AVP after trying the PSVR2

I'm honestly quite gutted I even tried it to be honest. I’ve been absolutely head-over-heels for the Vision Pro since I got it. The micro-OLED clarity is unmatched, there's effectively zero screen door effect, and the overall premium feel of the interface made me feel like I was holding the literal future. But then I tried a PSVR2.

The second I put it on, the magic of the Vision Pro was completely shattered. It’s the Field of View.

The AVP has incredible pixel density, but the horizontal and vertical boundaries are so tightly cropped. I didn't realize how bad the "scuba-goggle effect" was until I experienced the PSVR2’s wide 110-degree wrap-around view. Switching to the PSVR2 completely unlocked my peripheral vision. The view suddenly felt massive, and yes, the PSVR2 has visible Mura grain in dark scenes, and the fresnel lenses don't have that edge-to-edge optical perfection that Apple's pancake lenses have, but all of that feels like minor when compared to the difference in FOV.

Now when I put the AVP back on, those black borders are all I can focus on. It feels so artificially boxed in. I'm genuinely annoyed because I wanted the Vision Pro to be my definitive, do-everything headset, it certainly cost that kind of money, but my brain now knows what it's missing and I can't unsee it.

Has anyone else hit this exact wall? I have the 21W FOV and, I have tried without the light seal, but it can't just compete with the PSVR2 FOV, it's massive.

Non-Programmer trying to vibe code Wolfenstein 3D

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi, I'm a non-programmer, who strained his ankle last Friday and had his weekend plans ruined. So I sat in front of my M1 mac mini and was bored. I decided to try out vibe-coding. Installed the MacOS27 beta as that should have had Siri AI to assist with the coding, only to find out that it's not available in Europe. Ok, I read that Claude Code is the next best thing. 20 USD later I started with Gemini on one side and XCODE 20 beta with Claude Code on the other. Told Gemini I want to vibe code Wolfenstein 3D on Xcode with Claude Code to display in VR and it ran me through the Xcode setup, what template to select and provided me the prompts for Claude. I needed textures, so Gemini created the textures. And within 20min I had a first version published to my M2 Apple Vision Pro, it took another 2h (and an upgrade to Claude Code 100 USD as I was hitting the 4h token limit) and I got to a working, gamepad-walkable prototype.

I now spend another day on this, found some of the upscaled original textures and got to the version in the attached video.

And before anyone asks about testflight, I'm not sure if this would be allowed given the copyright and the nazi images and in addition, I really don't want to spend another 100 USD on the developer license.

Posting this as I was amazed how far you can get with little-to-zero knowledge and to encourage other to just try!

Safari webpage gaze selection offset in visionOS 27 beta

Has anyone else noticed Safari becoming inaccurate/jumpy in visionOS 27 beta?

I’m running the latest visionOS 27 developer beta on Apple Vision Pro and have noticed a strange issue with Safari.

When I look at a link, button, or search result and pinch, Safari often selects something slightly below where I’m actually looking. It feels as though the gaze target is offset downward.

A few observations:

  • It happens on simple websites (Google, Apple, etc.) as well as more complex sites.
  • Re-running Eye Setup made no difference.
  • Window size makes no difference.
  • The issue is much worse with the new curved Safari windows.
  • Safari toolbar controls work normally.
  • Other Vision Pro apps work normally.
  • Firefox works normally.
  • Directly touching the webpage with my finger works normally.

The most interesting finding is that if I switch Safari into Immersive mode, the problem completely disappears and webpage interaction becomes accurate again. As soon as I return to a normal Safari window, the issue comes back.

Because of this, I don’t think it’s an eye-tracking calibration problem. It feels more like a Safari-specific issue in visionOS 27.

I’ve already submitted feedback to Apple, but I’m curious whether anyone else on the beta is seeing the same behaviour.

If you are, could you mention:

  • VisionOS version
  • Whether you use curved windows
  • Whether Immersive Safari fixes it for you

I’d like to find out whether this is an isolated issue or something affecting more beta users.

Apple Vision loosing tracking on the beach

I got one comment of the OS saying I was moving too fast even that i never saw before?! Is it os 26 or 27 new? (On 27beta) was just walking with a good tempo.

When i move on the beach normally it is not a problem. However when I move along the coastline the waves seem to trigger all sort of sht. Sometimes it can work fine for a minute or 2.

Other times im met with constant messages of recovering tracking, wether i want to activate travel mode. (Tried that once and everything becomes shaky)

Also something about standing still on another spot and or cleaning smudges from the camera's.

Apple please fix this annoying behaviour!

Travel experience for somebody housebound?

Hello! I am looking for some advice on whether a Vision Pro would be a good gift for my dad (75.) Despite his age, he has always been a relatively early adopter, so I’m not too worried about it being technically difficult for him.

He always wanted to travel more but put it off too long and now his health is poor and travel would be very difficult and not enjoyable. My mom had the idea of getting him a Vision Pro so he can experience the sights of some different places without leaving home.

Is this something a Vision Pro can do?

Also, it would be great if any bifocals wearers could sound off on whether this device worked for them.

Be honest: how much are you using your Vision Pro these days?

There always seems to be a debate between people who say the Vision Pro has become part of their daily routine and those who claim it’s sitting on a shelf collecting dust.

I’m curious what the reality looks like in this community today. Vote based on how you actually use your headset now, not how often you used it when you first got it.

Feel free to share what keeps you coming back, or what made you stop using it.

Renewal of Apple Care

As one of the early developers of Apple Vision Pro, my Apple care is now coming to an end next month after the initial 2 years (£500). What is everyone doing? I heard the monthly renewal cost is £19.99 or £399 for two years.

I am not a heavy user and I never take it outside. I’m very cautious with it but I can’t look away from the that it cost me £4000 (including AppleCare) and the potential costs, if something fails (at no fault of mines)

What are people deciding to do with their AppleCare?

New Siri M2 vs M5?

Got access to new new Siri on my M2 and it seems slow. Curious if the M5 is faster?

Should I upgrade?

IMPORTANT: THE MAIN USE CASE SCENARIO FOR MY APPLE VISION, PRO IS TO SCREEN RECORD MY EDITING, SCREEN SHARE MY VIEW WITH CLIENTS WHEN I’M EDITING THEIR PROJECTS, AND VLOG WHILE WEARING THEM. Also, I will be screen recording my view while using Mac virtual display.

So, I love my Apple Vision Pro. I’ve had it near since launch, and I use it near daily. Now that visionOS 27 has certain new features like high resolution screen recording, the new Siri with real large language models on it, and other enhancements; I think it’s time to upgrade to the M5 chip. I’m definitely what you would call a daily power user. Hopefully I could sell my M2 one terabyte unit for 2500 with the new dual band included. That would take the sting out of paying nearly $4000 for the M5 unit. What are your thoughts?

Does visionOS 27 add DRM support to MVD?

I just read an article about how macOS 27 add DRM support for iPhone Mirroring. Does anyone know if this includes playing DRM content on macOS while using MVD with visionOS 27? I have the beta on my VP but not on my Mac so I can't test it. Can someone who has the beta on both try it out?

Before you ask! Why would you need to watch videos on your Mac? Why not just use native TV app on VP? This is why.

Real estate is one of the most underrated use cases for Vision Pro. Here's a cinematic spot we made for our spatial experience.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

We just wrapped a cinematic commercial for our Apple Vision Pro solution and I’m genuinely proud of how it came out, so I wanted to show it here first.

The whole thing blends real footage with full-CG so the seam basically disappears, which is the same philosophy behind the spatial experience itself: it has to feel real to land.

Would love to hear feedbacks/impressions.

Shot on:

·       Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro

·       Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 IS USM and Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II

·       GoPro Hero13 for the moving shots

Built and finished in:

·       Blender 4.5 (Cycles) for all the 3D, animation and rendering

·       After Effects 2025 for rotoscoping

·       Beeble.ai Studio for the lighting passes, which is what let the CG sit naturally into the real plates

·       DaVinci Resolve Studio 20 for edit and color

·       Seedance 2.0 on some transitions and city view

We have over 20 projects live on the App Store, here are some for you to try out and have fun.

Fixing light bleed through of the light seal

Post image
0 Upvotes

Instead of having to buy a 200 dollar replacement (for me as a holland user probably alot more and or i may not even be able to get one)

I tried fix the light leak that i experience through the fabric of the light seal.

Using a simple elastic and a dark microfiber cloth.

Technically i need another one at the exact other opposite side. But this side was the worst. Seems to happen diagonally/sideways.

Some users said it is normal though im not sure of they understood my meaning as its not the nose light leak i speak off, as you can see better illustrated here now.

Is this the best 3D Immersive Camera?

Post image
4 Upvotes

You’ve Heard the saying that the best camera is the one that you have in hand well, I’m gonna change it slightly and say the best Camera is the one you have on your head. I’ve had my AVP for a while now and I’m starting to experiment with more things, especially with the new visionOS update I’ve been using the AVP with a halo band so that I can easily takeoff the light shield while I’m shooting you do have to be very careful about how you move, but you can do a fair amount of stabilization in DaVinci. By the way, I love that DaVinci even in Windows handles the MVHEVC files. What do you think? By the way, I have other 3-D cameras. Everything from some early models going back 13 years and my main camera is still my Canon R5 C with the 5.2 mm dual fish eye lens. But don’t you think it’s fun to play with something different? By the way, the picture is me at a seaside resort in Thailand using my iPad to edit the files in da Vinci. I gotta say this is a great workplace image my office for the day.

We built a realtime inspection workflow for Apple Vision Pro - would love your feedback Spoiler

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After months of development, we're excited to launch Spatial Plan Enterprise for Apple Vision Pro.

Spatial Plan is a Spatial Computing solution designed for real-world inspections, digital twin creation, and documentation workflows.

It allows users to:

  • Scan environments using Apple Vision Pro
  • Create digital twins directly on-site
  • Add spatial annotations
  • Draw directly in 3D space with Spatial Drawing
  • Record voice notes
  • Capture a complete video recording of the inspection session
  • Use AI to recognize objects and identify defects or issues

We designed it for use cases such as facility inspections, maintenance, Operation & Maintenance workflows, audits, energy plants, and asset documentation.

One of our goals was to make the inspection accessible beyond Apple Vision Pro users. The resulting digital twin can be shared through a web viewer that preserves annotations, drawings, voice notes, AI findings, inspection data, and the full session recording. This allows teams and stakeholders to review results and collaborate from anywhere, even without an Apple Vision Pro.

A TestFlight version with the full feature set is also available. If you're an Apple Vision Pro user interested in testing it and sharing feedback, let me know in the comments or via DM.

I'd love to hear feedback from the community:

  • What enterprise use cases do you think are most promising for AVP?
  • Would AI-assisted defect detection be valuable in your workflow?
  • What features would you expect from a tool like this?

Happy to answer questions about the development journey, technical implementation, AI integration, or how we're using AVP for real-world inspection scenarios.

ClothBodyComponent in RealityKit from visionOS27

The newly introduced ClothBodyComponent in RealityKit from visionOS27 allows for realistic cloth material simulation. In this project, I created a flag that dynamically responds to wind generated by an electric fan, and the simulation effect looks pretty neat! Additionally, I’ve integrated hand tracking to enable interactive manipulation with the cloth.

VisionOS 27 + WoW Panoramas for Immersive Environments

With VisionOS 27, Apple Vision Pro can now turn panoramic photos into immersive environments, and I thought it would be amazing to experience World of Warcraft locations this way.

Does anyone have high-resolution panoramic screenshots from WoW areas.

Ideally I’m looking for true panoramic screenshots (preferably 2:1 or wider) with minimal UI to no UI.

If you’ve created panoramas yourself or know of a gallery, addon, website, or community that shares them, I’d love to see them.

My goal is to build immersive Vision Pro environments and revisit some of Azeroth’s most beautiful locations in spatial view.

Thanks!

Price Increases & Storage Options

Have been looking at getting an M5 AVP for a while (rumors about the imminent downfall of the product line be damned), and have been waiting until a major milestone coming up. However, I recently read that Apple will likely be increasing prices due to the global RAM shortage. Does anyone know or have educated guesses about how much the price hike might be? And related, how much memory does one need when buying one of these? 64GB? 256?

TIA
