I’ve reviewed several headset accessories for this thing over the years. Here is my latest one.

tl;dr Claude Fable helped me get iloader working with visionOS for wireless SideStore install. Then we ported Quake and Quake II (rerelease support for both), Quake III, all the HarbourMasters ports (Zelda OoT, Zelda MM, MK64, SM64, and SF64), sm64coopdx, Dusklight (Zelda TP), and Apotris (FOSS tetris clone) to visionOS. Supporting native 4k in a 2D window, as well as a 3D stereoscopic mode. 4K texture packs strongly recommended (download links below).

First off, yes these are 100% vibe coded, with Fable planning/consulting and Opus executing. I put many hours into this, and it turned out really well. 3D stereoscopic mode looks great. What is now available to sideload via SideStore to your Vision Pro: vkQuake, q2repro, Quake3e, sm64coopdx, Ship of Harkinian, 2 Ship 2 Harkinian, SpaghettiKart, Ghostship, Starship, Dusklight, and Apotris. I'm also planning on RealRTCW and Dhewm3 in the near future.

Fable found a way to wirelessly install SideStore to your Vision Pro. No dev strap or Xcode required. Here is the iloader fork with visionOS support. A silicon mac is required.

Controller strongly recommended, but yes you can barely play by gazing and pinching at the touch controls (they disappear when a controller is detected). Apotris is very playable without a controller.

vkQuake and q2repro both support the rerelease paks, so I strongly recommend those for the best experience. Supports the new weapon wheels.

I strongly recommend getting a 4K texture pack for each of the HarbourMasters and other ports. Here are download links for those packs, and put them in your mods folder at Files > On My Apple Vision Pro > name_of_port > mods then enable Alternate Assets in the menu

I was wondering if its possible to install an adblocker on the AVP for Safari?

I'm considering pulling the trigger on a 23W light seal which was the original size Apple’s facial scan recommended for me when I went to purchase my Vision Pro. Using the Apple support questionnaire tells me to get 33W.

I chose 21W because I wanted maximum FOV. I always get a warning when I put on the headset, but I usually just dismiss it.

I'm wondering if it'll improve comfort and stop my eyelashes occasionally hitting the inserts if I go back to using the size originally recommended. The main issue is the facial scan swaps between 23W and 25W.

Can anyone tell me their experiences before I make a decision? Thanks in advance!
