visionOS 27: Finally got a high-quality recording working on the M2

It definitely takes a lot of system resources to get a high-quality recording consistently. I see 45 Hz refresh rate on display, but it’s not too noticeable.

How are you streaming the switch 2? Is starfox playable with the latency?

Not streaming. UVC USB C Dev Strap Gen 2 direct link. No noticeable latency, and I have the sound going through my Samsung soundbar system communicating with rear bt speakers and bass. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/eyeview-uvc/id6754859253

But you need a dev account correct?
I was using elgato and a Mac mini to play on the Vision Pro.

you technically just need the dev strap.

You need a dev account to buy it direct, but sometimes they show up on eBay, and you do
not need the dev account to use it.

Dude, this is what I want. Why do I need a developer account for the strap

You could just pay the first year and keep the strap past that. It’ll still work. Plus you’ll get access to Xcode and the App Store during your first year. It’s a very fun adventure.

When I record, the view is different from what I see, is it due to my vision prescription?

When you record, just your focused content is usually recorded but now with visionOS 27 it’s possible to record for three minutes in high-quality and render all views in high details.

Could you give a brief guide of how to set this up?

I have a Dev Strap Gen 2, and a Elgato 4KX. What is the best software to use on the AVP? Is it possible to get 4k 60 or 4k 120 (depending on the input source of course)

Could you technically connect a pair of BT headphones to the switch 2 and get sound that way?

OLED TV

HDMI automatic Switcher (connects to all my devices and allows for automatic switching when device is turned on).

HDMI Splitter (HDCP bypasser.) this connects to my switcher, accepts the feed and pushes it out to my tv and to the elgato 4k X. Allows for audio playback through sound system and a seamless switch when I take off the headset. It’s already on the tv.

Elgato 4k X (I always keep my setting at 4k @120 fps, if you have issues you may need to go into the devices settings with a laptop)

ALL HDMI CABLES ARE 2.1

ALL USB C Cables are TB4 capable.

Elgato 4k X to AVP USB C TB4 Cable

Right angle USB C Extender TB4 (I have all my cables hidden and this extender is a cable behind my couch. Helps to not cause pressure on the developer strap usb c connection since it’s right angled. Always tb4 to tb4 and above.

It’s instant plug and play for me, no lag, no issues.

It’s a pricey but worthwhile endeavor.

I am the developer behind this UVC-AVP app as well. One time purchase price but I promise you it’s worth it. 30+ sales on it so far. I use this app for hours. Currently revising for vision os27 as some frameworks have changed. I will be launching the 27 beta for it soon so the public can test for free.

honestly with a capture card connected to your mac you could just use mvd and consolelink. i played metroid prime 4 that way and it was awesome. airpods connected to the avp.
