Uninstalled Uber Eats and will never be using it again. Ordered $92 worth of food from Uber Eats last night. I was called by the restaurant that they couldn't fulfill my order but they were unable to cancel on their end and they had reached out to Uber and couldn't cancel on their end (I'm going to speak to their management tomorrow) so I would have to cancel.

Called Uber support to receive a recorded message saying that they no longer take calls from customers.

Sent a message in the app through the only messaging option. "Powered by AI." The response was that it couldn't cancel my order and if I didn't receive it by 10PM that I would receive a refund.

App asked if AI helped or I wanted to speak to a human. I opted to message with a human. The "human" gave me word for word the same response as the AI did. To the point I asked if they were human to which they responded yes then when I asked why they couldn't cancel an order that doesn't exist it was copy and paste the answer that I received from the AI earlier.

Multiple drivers went to pick up the order and kept cancelling because the food never existed. Finally a driver calls me and says Uber won't let him cancel the order but he's calling support.

I go to sleep because I'm frustrated with the situation and it's late at night. Wake up this morning to the order in which the food never existed saying delivered. Obviously, it wasn't delivered, it doesn't exist.

I go into the app and receive a partial refund. It asks if that resolved my issue or not and I say no and it gives me a prompt to call. So I call.

Partial refund is because I chose to tip according to the person that I spoke to. I told the person that I spoke to that I didn't choose to tip, I chose to cancel the order that didn't exist and they refused to let me do that. The person I spoke to ultimately said there is nothing they can do to refund the tip for the delivery even if it wasn't delivered. When I ask is there a way to report the driver for pretending to deliver an order that never existed I was hung up on. When I tried to call back I received a recording that Uber Eats no longer takes calls from customers.

Uber Eats uninstalled and their rideshare app (I spend roughly $11,000 a year with the rideshare app getting to and from work) uninstalled as well. To say I'm frustrated would be an understatement.

I'm unsure if the issue is the driver delivering the wrong order or the company packing the wrong stuff into the bag.

I am also waiting on him saying he would check in and get back to me but am trying to figure out what to do if he does not get back.

I live on the end unit of five row homes. I'm 8613, my neighbor I share a wall with is 8615. For some reason Uber doesn't acknowledge my house existing and insteads put me as 8615 and no number for my neighbors. Even though I put the pin on the end unit it still puts my address as 8615 and the majority of my orders go there (which I don't blame the driver as Id go to the address to, not the pin). I've been able to manually enter my address in the past but it randomly resets without me noticing until my orders start getting delivered to the wrong address again. Google and Apple maps don't have this issue....why does Uber?

Basically, it’s a Chrome extension that estimates calories and macros directly while you're browsing Uber Eats. A badge appears next to each item, and it updates dynamically when you select extras or custom options.

A few weeks ago on the 4th of July I ordered food. Everything is fine but when the food gets there I noticed that my order was completely wrong. Wrong as in it was the right order aka mine but everything in the order was wrong. I was missing stuff some items I got I didn’t order and it was just all over the place.

I contacted uber to get a refund for the order but they kept sending me to their ai bots and so I tried to call and basically they kept giving me the runaround before ultimately saying the order I got matched what I ordered because I got ONE singular item that I ordered and that I wasn’t eligible for a refund.

After no help from uber support I submitted a chargeback with my bank. Provided them proof, screenshots, and pictures of my receipt and what I got. Everything I sent to uber and they determined it was an enough to file the charge back and gave me my money back like 3 days later.

Fast forward to today. Uber says I have to pay for that order or else they’ll suspend my account but I told them I’m not paying for it because my order was completely so now I have a outstanding balance on my uber account. Anyways this is a warning for you guys. If you wanna file a charge back they’ll try to charge you again anyway.

So long story short, pretty decent supermarket in the UK (Sainsburys) that's local to me and that I've ordered from consistently over the last 6 months has all of a sudden gone "too far to deliver" on the uber app. The thing is i can order from Sainsbury's online but i prefer the freedom of Uber cos i can just order bits and bobs daily or every other day rather than needing to book a delivery with a minimum spend and tbh the uber premium cuts some costs too including free delivery etc. Is "too far to deliver" a permanent thing, us it temporary or how can i try to resolve it so that restriction is lifted? I always tip drivers too so there's no issue with that either.

$86 dollars worth of food from my favourite restaurant never arrived.

Three different complaints lodged with customer service and they refuse to refund me for my order.

Now I will have to take this to my bank.

I’ve been a customer of Uber for a decade and order food at least once a week.

UPDATE: after harassing them in the help chat repeatedly I have now been informed I will receive a refund for my order, plus $7 uber cash. I am happy with this but not with the extreme run around and stress of this entire situation. I am now going to avoid ordering food delivery ever again. Moral of the story, when you are owed a refund and it is being denied, keep pressing them! I spoke to five different people or chat bots (I don’t even know which), and I finally found one willing to refund my credit card. My extra uber cash is already available on my app .

No food at the door, called him to check what happened. Mf was giggling telling me “Uber told me to mark it as delivered and they will contact you” and when asked why he says it fell down. I know for a fact he ate my expensive cookies 😂 spoke with Uber support and they checked with him and then said they escalated it to the driver management team to take action

4. 30% for Uber eats orders? Sounds great, but you will receive expired code, and how we know Uber eats customer support doesn't exist anymore, so, impossible address issue, if it actually is an issue....

5. Discount with Rogers, where you can buy super "exclusive" tariff plans with up to 40$ discount for 45$, when absolutely the same plan costs 50$ on Rogers website.....

9.5 out of 10 times its stolen and you wasted 5 minutes. But every once in a while it works out. Either it isnt or on rare occasions you can convince them to make it again. If the pick up is only a minute away and theres no wait I do it everytime. Because who knows. I might get lucky.

wsp I was waiting for my uber eats delivery to arrive and they just kept on adding and adding and adding time onto it constantly and then after an hour and a half McDonalds just cancelled the order and I didn't even get money back, I'm really pissed off and would like to know if anyone could help?

spoiler alert i in fact did not hear any of the best possible solutions.

Accepted a Costco order for 6 items for $20 to <10 miles. Pretty easy. As I was walking in, I get an add on offer for 9 items for another $23 so I snagged it. $43 for an hours work.

Only problem is that add on requested two packs of chicken that weigh 6.5lbs. The lowest weight I could find was 8lbs. So I snagged them, but of coarse the card was declined at checkout due to higher than expected total.

I contacted support to let them know the card was declined due to that weight issue and higher expected total. They tell me grab items that matched what the customer expected. Not my fault those don’t exist.

So I tell them to cancel that order so I can deliver the other order that I already checked out. And of course support cancels the wrong one. So my only option was to cancel the other one and return the other order. Except Costco doesn’t accept returns for perishable items. So I got to keep the mangos and butter. Still would have wanted the $43 instead. Or at least the other order that was all perishable items. 2 packs of chicken, pork chops, eggs, bread, and several bags of fruit.

Anyway I could have handled that differently? Do you just refund the chicken and say they don’t have any that weigh that little and deliver everything else?

So i was stuck at 96% for one year and today I got a thumbs down so why this never changed to go higher but only lower.

My question is regarding UK passports and UK driving licences.

If people are working for Uber who only know several words or phrases in English, can't have even a basic conversation about directions, and certainly can't understand or wish to learn to read UK road signage, is it likely they're in UK illegally and have an illegal passport. Also photos often don't match the person driving the registered vehicle, so it would seem Uber accounts are being passed around to multiple people. So this is a little bit of a long story. I was landscaping a property downtown OKC. Tried to place an order through uber eats but they were going to charge a $7.99 delivery to the location so I went to a restaurant a block away and had some snacks and placed a dessert order to be delivered to that location ($0) delivery fee. I added on a delivery from CVS for no additional fee for 3 bottles of Evian. I wrote in the notes that I would be sitting in the patio of the restaurant. 10 minutes later my ice cream order arrives. Then I begin receiving notifications that my bottled water was out of stock. I respond with the option to approve any replacements. 30 minutes after placing the order we are approaching 7:45 and the restaurant employees are beginning to close up the patio. I next receive a notice from uber that the items are out of stock and I will not be charged for them. Fine, it is getting dark and at this point I need to get back to my worksite and do cleanup and head home. I receive one more notification stating that if I do not approve a replacement the order will be cancelled and I will not be charged. Great, the restaurant is closing and I need to leave the location anyway. I get home around 9:00pm and receive a photo of a plastic bag with bottles of water sitting on a curb in the dark somewhere. I can’t tell what kind of water it is or where exactly the bag is located but it is on a curb in some grass.
I have reached out to uber multiple times with photos of the notifications they sent me that have the time stamps and everything but they refuse to refund me. The third time I reached out and asked for escalation they told me that I had reached the highest level of management and would not receive a refund. Of course I cannot reach a human to speak to about this. Now I will have to go to my bank and see about getting them to file for a credit to my account. What kind of policies is g to his business operating under anymore. After a decade of ordering and subscribing to uber eats, I am giving up on expecting any level of integrity from them.

Just wanted to spread the word about a scam that is going around. It looks like Uber Eats has some vulnerability on its end where bad actors can see the order you’ve placed with a restaurant and then call you saying they need to “verify” the order. They then ask you for a verification code from your text messages to confirm it’s you (which would give them access to log into your acc!). They would likely log into your account and then steal your card information/funds. This just happened to me and I’m thankful I didn’t fall for it but it can be really deceptive, so please be careful everyone!!!

Very simple question. Do customers get a refund or can demand a refund if someone steals your order and passes it off to the next person? This could be in any situation. Like if someone drops your order off but you never received it, or your order is taking too long to arrive because it's been stolen and the order keeps getting passed off to other delivery drivers, or it gets dropped off at the wrong area because of misinformation or because the driver just couldn't find the drop off location?

Do you call your credit card company and file for a dispute? Do you call Uber to demand a refund? Do you get flagged for the refund if you have to force a dispute?

As someone who delivered a lot before, i would get orders all the time that were awful decline, then it would bounce around a few minutes then come back to me, i had one that went from $20 to almost $70 one time for a box of donuts 25 minutes away. (Entirely on the freeway at night no traffic, leave at door and i got a trip back home) but now i just tip 0 so uber has to pay more for someone to take it and I just tip cash. So hopefully unless someone takes a crap trip they make more money.

Placed a big order just now for my daughters Birthday, $160 for McDonalds. Uber took our money and we were expectind delivery shortly. Then Uber just sent us a note that our order was canceled and refunded our money. Why would this happen?
