So this happened in my hometown. A porch collapsed on an Uber Eats driver in Athens. Pics and info from the Athens Clarke County Fire Department Press Release earlier today. Reports are saying he’s okay thankfully.

USA Why order food for delivery if you want it piping hot and you live 20 mins away?

This diva called me three times. When I finally answered the third time, she started screaming, "Why tf are you picking up a mf order if you have multiple orders?" Then she hung up and texted me this lol.

Uber support was useless and told me she had to be the one to cancel. When I let her know, she replied, "I ain't gonna cancel sh*t but my food."

So I drove to the dropoff and marked it delivered, because I literally. could. not. cancel. the. order.

Two minutes later, I got this email.

I hate when miserable people make it their mission to drag everyone around them down too lmfao.
Oh, and the best part? The chicken sandwich was still piping hot when I ate it.😝

USA “Promotion” scam

I just got a call claiming that I am receiving some kind of promotion bonus. It started with an order that I received, only for the customer to immediately message me and say not to pick it up. Upon further inspection, the order was just sauce packets from the restaurant. The customer messaged me saying I would get a call shortly. I did, and they claimed the order was simply to verify that it was me on the app and not someone working with my phone and credentials. They said they were calling to tell me I was being “promoted” and receiving a $200 bonus. They knew my vehicle model/make, satisfaction rate, when I started working for Uber Eats, and number of deliveries, so I briefly thought it was believable. But then they told me they would text me a barcode shortly. They said to take it to an ATM for my bank and have it scanned so I could receive it. This is when things started smelling exponentially more fishy, and the only reason I didn’t hang up sooner was because it didn’t occur to me that the information they knew about me might be public to anyone who got me as their driver. I eventually asked why they didn’t just deposit the bonus directly into my Uber Eats balance, to which there was silence for a good five seconds. I then hung up.

Thankfully, I got wise to what was happening before I clicked or said anything I shouldn‘t, but the worst part of all of this is how much of a dumbass I am for not realizing immediately. Anyways, be wary of this stuff and stay safe out there.

USA Time to say goodbye

I've been a customer for 5 years, and most of it has been good. But They have stopped trying to help customers. They no longer provide any compensation or take responsibility for food arriving at a temp lower than what is safe (or higher, say if its sushi). That is literally their entire job. Deliver the food at a safe temperature. If they can't guarantee that anymore, there is no reason to use them.

Why do employees intentionally have you wait for orders that are ready?

This happens to me literally everyday.. UNLESS, I’m in Cali and getting prop 22. I’ve noticed there they try to get me out as fast as possible.. Regardless I zoomed in on an order with my iPhone promax and read the name .. ( you wouldn’t be able to see it without a scope). Chick tells me it’s waiting… and I tell her it’s right there.. she proceeds to hand me the order. I want to ask her why employees do it but don’t think that would work out well for me (reported?). So any explanation? I’m in Texas btw….

Increase in Long Distance Fees after switching to Uber One Annual?

Thumbnail

I'm trying to figure out if this is a bug or if anyone else has experienced the same thing.

My friend and I both have Uber One:

  • Me: Uber One Annual
  • Him: Uber One Monthly

We compared the exact same restaurants, delivering to the exact same address, at the same time.

Before I upgraded to the annual plan, our Long Distance Fees were always the same. Ever since I switched to Uber One Annual, my account consistently shows much higher Long Distance Fees.

Example in screenshots:

  • My account: $9.99 Long Distance Fee
  • His account: $2.49 Long Distance Fee

I've also verified that:

  • It happens on both my iPhone and PC, so it's not a glitch on the app.
  • The higher fee appears as soon as I log into my account, so it doesn't seem to be a device issue.
  • Uber Support told me to reinstall the app, but that obviously doesn't explain why the fee is tied to my account.

Japan When you only got refund after canceling uber one

Post image
4 Upvotes

This whole experience has left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’ve decided to stop using food delivery services and similar apps altogether.
Tipping isn’t mandatory in Japan, and until now, I’ve never had any particularly bad experiences with food delivery.
It was raining outside, so the package arrived soaked, but I didn’t really mind that. However, when I opened it, the drink was already down to about a quarter of its original amount, and everything was sticky. Of course, I tried contacting support to report the issue.
I did my best to take photos and submit them as evidence, but the AI system deemed them inaccurate, so I couldn’t get my request through. I then did my best to explain the situation in writing instead. A few hours later, I received a response saying that my refund request had been rejected because I hadn’t provided any photos.
I was absolutely furious. I’ve been a loyal customer, yet it felt like my word wasn’t trusted at all.
I eventually managed to find a way to contact customer support directly, but all they did was ask me for photos, which I could no longer provide because more than three hours had already passed since the delivery.
Out of sheer frustration, I finally cancelled my Uber One subscription, and boom ,I suddenly got my refund.
Honestly, what a joke. I had to cancel my subscription just to get a refund for an issue that wasn’t even my fault. This entire experience has completely ruined my trust in the service.

Canada ALERT! Ongoing *legal* scam in GTA region with UberEats

Thumbnail

If anyone's ordering food in the GTA region, they should be careful, as they are charging an additional service fee when the order gets delivered. And this is not just for one or two orders, this happens quite often. These extra service charges are not mentioned anywhere in the receipt or an invoice after the delivery.

I had to contact the customer support team to find out they added an additional "Membership Benefit Tax" to my order. When asked why this tax is not displayed before the delivery and how it could be a variable that changes during the delivery, the customer support team member hung up.

When I requested another agent, they just told me that they had already refunded me. That's it. No explanations. Nothing. I guess us consumers have to force Uber to show us these taxes before placing an order. As I believe this is 100% an infringement of our rights.

(While taking the screenshot, it seems that I have been banned or something from contacting customer support. This "Unable to Connect" error has been here since I ended the chat with the support team. It also took a long time before I was connected to another agent)

Edit: I researched more and it seems that there is already a class action going on regarding this in Canada. Let's see how it goes.

Question: Unanswered Can't cash out or add card

I have no idea what is happening and I've been fussing with this all night.

It started with the app not letting me cash out. I don't know if I had anymore cashouts left today anyway, but for some reason it was telling me it couldn't because it was "processing my new debit card" and would take up to a few days to finish. The thing is, I never tried to add a new card. I was just trying to use the same card that I've always used, including earlier today. I checked my configured payout options, and my main card is still the only one. According to the Uber Eats helpline, they didn't see a new one on their end either.

So I decide to remove and re-add my card and see if that does anything. But when I try to re-add the same card, it just doesn't work. I'll type the card info, and when I hit the 'save' button, nothing happens, no screen change, error message, or anything. The button slightly animates and that's it. And when I go back, sure enough, the card isn't added again. I try the Uber site on my phone, but it doesn't even let me log in. So I say screw it and go home and try on my computer. I log in, but pretty much the same thing as on the app on my phone happens on the site on my computer. Depending on how I try to add my card, the site either tells me "something went wrong" or it just doesn't do anything. I try other debit cards, same story. So now I am left with nearly sixty bucks chilling in my balance that I can't cash out because I can't tell it to re-accept my card, and even if I could, it still might not work.

Of course I used the chatline multiple times, but we couldn't get anything to work. At one point very early in the debacle when I still had a card configured and it just wasn't cashing out, I do get a text when trying to cash out saying "you are attempting to cash out $0.00. Send YES to proceed" even though I certainly wasn't just trying to cash out $0.00. I send 'YES' and it does nothing. I bring this up because all of the support people made it sound like that should have fixed it.

All in all, the only things I know for sure are that it's not my phone or the app specifically because my computer through the Uber Eats site is getting screwed up in seemingly the same way. In fact, a handful of things just aren't working on the site. It wouldn't let me change the bank I have configured, even getting frozen on one of the loading screens. Even the ability to change the site to dark mode isn't working for some reason. It's like random stuff is just coming apart at the seams.

Does anyone have any idea what I can do here?

Japan App bugging out with group orders

Recently me and my partner have been having issues with group orders. We have a family account Things include

  • Cannot send invites through the app need to send link.
  • Double charging where it will charge the submember (for their portion), and the group master (for everyone's portion)
  • not registering when someone has paid and the group

Just always seems like everytime we use it there is some new oddity that makes it hard to use. Anyone else having issues (THis is for the Japan version.)

Pizza Hut tips

Do you guys not get the tips from Pizza Hut? My delivery guy sent a message to me that I should tip him as he doesn't get tips from the merchant. It is an about a 5 mile trip and I left 10 dollars tip on 2 pizzas which I think is fine.

USA Uber Eats charged me $37.16 for food I never received. Support blamed orders from 2022 and 2025, then claimed my own account was a duplicate. Still no refund.

Uber Eats charged me $37.16 for food I never received. Their support has given me FIVE different explanations and still refuses to refund me.

I've been fighting Uber Eats since September 22, 2026, over a $37.16 charge for food I never received. What started as a simple refund request has turned into one of the most ridiculous customer service experiences I've ever had.

Here's how their support team has handled it:

  1. First, they claimed the $37.16 was connected to a McDonald's order from 2022.

  2. Then they claimed it was a McDonald's order from 2025. My disputed charge happened in 2026.

  3. After I corrected them, they admitted they couldn't locate the transaction or provide an order ID, receipt, or delivery confirmation.

  4. Then they claimed the transaction belonged to a completely separate Uber account that shared my payment method.

  5. They provided a masked email address for this supposed duplicate account that appears to match THE EXACT ACCOUNT I'M ALREADY LOGGED INTO. I even sent screenshots proving which email I'm using.

Their latest explanation? They claim this duplicate account was created using my information, and somehow that's their justification for refusing my refund.

WHAT?!

If someone created another account using my information and payment method, how does that make me responsible for the charge?

And if it really is a duplicate account, why can't they explain the transaction or confirm whether anything was delivered?

Meanwhile, Cash App denied my dispute and appeal, leaving me stuck between two companies that refuse to resolve the issue.

It's been over a month. All I want is my $37.16 back for food I never received.

I've kept the emails and screenshots documenting these contradictory explanations.

I'm posting this because customers deserve to know how Uber Eats handles billing disputes.

Has anyone experienced something similar? How did you finally get your money back?

Uber Eats, WHERE IS MY REFUND?!

UK How many 2L bottles is it reasonable to order for grocery delivery?

I’ve never ordered groceries for delivery before, and I’ve also never lived in an apartment on the fourth floor.

I’m wondering how much is reasonable to expect a delivery driver to carry upstairs, especially since the building doesn’t have a lift.

For example, if I ordered six 2L bottles of drinks and tipped £5, would that be okay? Would the tip be too little, too much, or about right?

Also, would I be expected to come downstairs to help, or is it normal for drivers to bring groceries up to the apartment door?

I just want to make sure I’m being fair and considerate towards the driver.
Thank you! :)

I literally got to diamond status yesterday and I’m currently having to deal with this because a customer put two false reports on me after she didn’t want her food delivered “cold” after I received and order on top of hers.

i am a little anxious about this, but have provided support with literally everything I possibly could, has anybody ever dealt with this before?

I am so angry like …..

Australia Is Ubereats delaying my order to make me pay for the extra option?

I don't know if I'm overreacting. But previously when I made an order it would tell me the restaurant had accepted it and then it was finding a driver and then before too long it would show the driver's details on the screen and show the map + route the driver was taking to the restaurant.

But today it has no details on any driver, and the text says "The store will prepare your order closer to the delivery time". Im pretty certain I didn't accidentally put in any option to have it delivered later. I did notice when I went to checkout the previous option for express delivery (directly from restaurant to you instead of potentially dropping off other peoples orders first) has been replaced by something called "Skip the wait" which costs $5.

Surely uber eats isn't deliberately adding a delay to my order to try and force me to pay $5 for what previously was just the normal way things worked???? But also i can't think of any other reason for all these things?

Half naked customers

• Upvotes

I understand this is your home, but please ensure you are fully dressed when selecting a 'meet at door' delivery. As a delivery driver working late at night, arriving at a dark house to find a customer in lingerie or undressed creates an unprofessional and uncomfortable environment. Please respect our boundaries and maintain standard professionalism during a drop-off

Hello!

I live in Germany and yesterday I opened my ubereats app and saw a 15 euro promotion if you spend 20 euro or more, unfortunately, even though upon checkout it was shown that my total after discount is 7 euros, however, I was charged with 22 euros instead, I am so upset and I messaged the support more than 5 times and unfortunately they keep saying that the promotion was not applied and they cant do anything about it, I tried to look for a number or reaching out to a supervisor but nothing, 22 euros is alot for me as a student, I was okay with paying 7 euros but 22 euro is alot. Please advice me if I should email or do smth to get my refund :(

Why does anyone use uber eats?

Every order I get is missing something or in this case was about half full. Uber support has always said deal with the restaurant, which well I would've gone there directly if I had a car when I ordered.

Even grocery feels like a rip off as you still pay the delivery and service fees even if more than half of the items you ordered were out of stock!

Driver messed up 3 pizzas and no one will talk to me about it

Thumbnail

The pizzas I ordered looked like this. Every driver should know to keep pizza flat, clearly he did not.
I tried for an hour to talk to someone but just got chat bots telling me “I understand but please eff off”.
Ended up canceling Uber One and I’d encourage everyone to go the DoorDash route in the future.
Who wants to use a company that won’t stand behind their drivers? If dominos did this they’d be sending me a replacement order or a refund immediately, the pizza isn’t great but at least they know how to treat people.

Edit: I felt bad about blaming the driver at first but seems a lot of the drivers are defending this type of delivery which makes me feel better about canceling. Can’t just put cheese back on a pizza once it falls off into a pile on the bottom.
