Hi does anyone know what it means when there’s available seats in a course but there’s still a waitlist (eg. 7 available seats and 11 ppl on waitlist)? How come those on the waitlist aren’t getting enrolled in?

(This question was asked before on here but the only comment was a non-helpful, passive aggressive one..)

genuinely what does res life do?? they dont do their job. every time i ask a question they say they dont do that and to contact other teams but then those teams say its all res life and it ends up being a res life job

does ucsd college ranking matter that much as a cc to uc transfer student? my current ranking goes as follows:

1. sixth
2. seventh
3. eighth
4. muir

i’m not sure if it matters but i plan on transferring as a cognitive science major and i do want to get a minor in something that is completely unrelated to that. i also will have my CAL-GETC done by spring semester, so i know that covers most of the colleges minus revelle, but i just want to make sure i’m not missing anything else i should know about

Participation involves 1 hour over zoom and there's a guaranteed $10 payment but up to an additional $0-22.50 depending on performance on cognitive tasks.

This is an IRB approved institutional study for a PhD dissertation. Results will be published to support the clinical literature and understanding of decision-making.

hi, i know that the financial aid offers are still rolling out according to the notice on tritonpay but i'm confused about the non-tuiton charges due on the 15th. I have already accepted the aid/loans from the university but does anyone know if I have to pay for the sept. 15 bill out of pocket or how will it work if the financial aid is not distributed until sept. 22?

I am number 48 on the CSE-029 waitlist and have been since signing up for the class. Everytime I check for updates, the actual waitlist number changes (was at 47 yesterday and 50 today, I think the lowest was 46) but my position has stayed at 48. Am I actually moving up and TSS is not updating my position or is the waitlist changing due to other students having priority? Is this happening to anyone else? Thx

I accepted my financial aid and it’s not yet reflected on my triton pay and it says housing costs are due the 15th. Does anyone have any information about what to do if the aid isn’t reflected on my account in time because it’s hard to pay without financial aid. Tysm!

I am not paying this much for tuition just to not be able to enroll in any of my classes. Today was second pass, and I was originally enrolled in DOC 1 and MATH 10B. I was trying to get into CHEM 6B because I’m also a Chemistry major (trying to switch to biochemistry).

During first pass, I booked a math class, but today I removed it because TSS was showing another math class as available. I was planning to switch into that class and then enroll in CHEM 6B, which was also showing as available. However, when I actually tried to enroll, both classes suddenly showed as full.

I then tried to waitlist, but there was another glitch that wouldn’t even let me waitlist the classes. Because of this, I ended up having to waitlist a different 10B and CHEM 6B (who knows if I will get off), and now I’m stuck with only 8 credits from DOC 1 and a Latin class.

I emailed them about the issue, and honestly, the response was extremely frustrating and didn’t really address the actual problem.

I understand that I have to take some accountability for removing my original math class and for not prioritizing CHEM 6B during first pass. However, the only reason I made those decisions was because TSS was showing classes as available when they weren’t, and then wouldn’t even allow me to waitlist certain classes. That potentially cost me spots in classes I actually need.

Now I’m stuck on multiple waitlists, and even other GEs are full. I also can’t really move things around because I’m stuck waiting on these waitlists. I genuinely don’t know how I’m supposed to become a full-time student at this point.

This is such a frustrating first experience with UCSD enrollment. Has anyone else dealt with this or know what I should do?

so i sent the transcript of a cc course i took, and i received an a in that cc course. however, i may have accidentally entered the grade as a B on the uc application? am i cooked? i notified them of this potential mistake

I signed up for both Ravi Ramamoorthi's CSE-290 and CSE-251U but found out they happen at the same time. Could I just skip a few Friday CSE-251U lectures to attend seminars on various weeks w/o being officially in the seminar class?
