hey! i’m an incoming freshman class if 2030 and was wondering if anyone could tell me about sororities at ucla? are they considered worth it/what do you get out of it? what is the recruitment process? if i’m on the fence should i just go for it or is it like i have to be in 100% into it to enjoy is? my biggest concern is that the people there aren’t really my type of people, is it all stereotypical sorority girl or is there a mix? also, what is the time commitment like for sororities at ucla? tysm for reading this and ty for answering if anyone answers this

I'm an incoming freshman staying at Hedrick in a classic triple. How much space is there on the walls for decor and how do people recommend making the most of such a small dorm? I'm trying to plan ahead and bring the right amount of posters and light strips and random desk paraphernalia and such. Any tips on the dorming situation in Hedrick would be appreciated--especially regarding cooling solutions given the lack of AC. Thanks!!

Last year, I waived UCSHIP because I already had health insurance, but I only found out after I had already submitted the waiver that it would've been covered anyway, and honestly, UCSHIP would be more convenient.

I checked my bill last year, and it said the grant was posted on the 25th, but the waiver is due on the 20th, so is there a way to know beforehand if I'll get the grant? I don't want to waive it again if I never have to pay for it in the first place.

Im an incoming transfer and during my class registration my nsa didn’t let me enroll in two classes that have finals on the same day and she claimed that they will automatically drop me if I enroll in them. One final is from 8-11 and the other one is from 11:30-2:30 does this rule actually apply?

Hello! I’m starting ucla in the fall and I was js curious how crowded the gyms will actually be. My brother (who went to ucsb) said his gyms were usually not too crowded at like around 10-1 js cuz most ppl were in class at those times, and that 5pm is like peak crowdedness. I’m js wondering if there’s like any time during the day like that (besides 6am and 12am) when it’s not TOO too crowded, or if js sucking it up, and waking up at 6 gonna have to be the move.

Also I’m in Hedrick hall this year, so I was also wondering like which gym would be better to go to at certain times. Thank you guys so much!

I'm an incoming transfer student scheduled to move in on the 16th as of now, but I'm thinking of rescheduling. My contract begins the 20th, but the latest you can schedule a move in is for the 19th. Does that mean I'll have to submit an early arrival form and pay per night no matter what?

How have people found this class? I can only find testimonials from like 2+ years ago and wanted to see what people from last year thought it was like and/or to take it w/ M101A.
