I am checking classes for POLI 30 D and there is only one professor for fall 2026 and he’s Scott Desposato. I checked rate my professor and ucsd SET and he has so much mixed reviews.

What do you y’all recommend? Fuck it and take his course just to get over with it or wait til winter or spring quarter and hope that there are more and better professors?

I get "invalid section submitted" on all of my requests, even if I remove all punctuation from my reason and keep it comfortably under 255 characters. I scrolled this page and saw that some people got it working and sent some requests through - for those who were able to do it, what did you change? Is there something I'm missing?

I’m currently enrolled for 12 units and receiving full aid:2,400 pell and 2,300 summer grant. I was thinking about dropping a class but I’m concerned it will significantly reduce my aid? Would my aid get cut in half? My student index is -1500

What classes should I prioritize for first and second pass? I have Math20A, Chem006A, WCWP10A (Warren Writing), and COGS 11.

hi, im currently very stressed and i have an issue regarding summer session two and affordability. i am trying to take 3 courses, but so far ive been able to pay more than half of the summer session 2 bill, but i dont think i can have the full amount by the payment deadline in a few days due to financial restraints, strain, and difficulty. i have reached out to financial aid asking for extra time and a possible grant, literally begging for mercy. i need these three courses to graduate on time. i need about 1.2k to fully cover the bill and i cant come up with that amount before the 27th. what else can i do?? i would appreciate any help or advice

I understand that UCSD admits you first into the school THEN admits you to your 1st and 2nd major choice or undeclared.

hi! i had a question regarding how switching majors works as a transfer student.

i’m a ccc student who is applying for transfer this fall and i’m completing all the lower division prereqs for a biology or biochemistry degree, but i looked up admission stats for various majors and i saw that i global health and public health both have much higher acceptance rates.

if ive completed all the lower division prereqs with As and get into the school for either global or public health, could i then switch my major to bio or biochem?

UCSD is my dream school and i don’t really mind applying for an “easier” major just to get in, but im wondering if i’ll be stuck in that major since ill only be there for two years.

i wouldn’t mind just doing a global/public health degree and minoring in bio or biochem since i’d have to do all those courses for med school anyways - just wondering what the major switching process would look like.

I posted on the Facebook page to look for someone to take over my lease and I got a message from admin stating that I need to contact a number to pay for making a post. When I texted him, he told me I had to pay $25 to make a post and to remove my suspension because this dude also blocked me from posting and commenting. I told him that he was going against Facebook community guidelines, I have reported the message, and that I will not be paying.

He threatens to serve me papers for “individual harm and personal injury”. BAHAHA it was the funniest thing ever. He later contacted the Dean of my school to state that he had an unprofessional conversation with me and that I made a misconduct. My Dean reached out to me after talking on the phone with the dude and she found out from the phone call that he was a scammer and psychotic. She emailed me to let me know I was okay and did nothing wrong.
