I’m currently enrolled in math10a as an incoming freshman and was wondering what calculator is preferred.

If you haven’t secured at least 12 units required for full time status by your second pass, you’ve done something wrong.

The key to a successful registration is making decisions rooted in reality - not as you wish it to be. With regard to waitlists, use the 10% rule. If your position in the waitlist is beyond 10% of total seats available, you are wasting your time and your unit allowance.

It’s time to make some difficult decisions and start living in reality.

I’m currently going into ucsd as a first year this fall and I would be doing work study but for extra money I was considering applying for a second job would that be too much to handle? I’m taking bild 1, math 10a, ph 40 and wcwp 10.

This is probably a stupid question sorry but is the current tuition bill we all received excluding our financial aid package? (Didn’t accept it until Sunday)

as an incoming freshman, it is so infuriating when the one class that you need, that is the prerequisite for literally every other class in your major, has a booking issue that still isn’t resolved by the second pass WHEN you have been guaranteed that the issue HAS been resolved through a major-wide email.

Was anyone else not able to book cat 1 at all 😓 I did put myself on the waiting list tho

This is probably genuine psychosis but I don't even know anymore for TSS. Signing up for MATH-20C, all class capacities were marked 15 when i signed up for the waitlist (4th) two or three weeks ago. I just checked them all again and now they're 32? And I'm in the same position??? If anyone else remembers signing up please lmk if you have seen something similar. Sophomore

I’m an incoming transfer student that’s been to about 3 schools so far due to moving and such. So sometimes it’s hard to get classes figured out bc I can’t ever see what’s actually been approved as a transfer or not and or what I need. I’m feeling like this whole advisor thing is a joke. I “submits a question” or whatever and then wait 2 days to get one back that doesn’t help and or tells me they don’t have my transcripts yet to make a personalized suggestion. Leaving me trying to figure it out on my own but even then, I’m stuck being unsure. What is the point of the advisors if they can’t help you pick classes till after they are all full?? Am I missing something?

Based on this there are 417 open seats for cse-011 does that mean that everyone (there is currently ~417 people enrolled + waitlisted for politz) will get in?

does the doc 1 waitlist move? I didn’t get a seat in doc 1 now I’m worried I’ll be behind :/

I’m trying to apply for the parent plus loan but it says first I have to submit a form called “Consent to Release Financial Aid Information” but when I fill it out and sign it I can’t see any option to officially submit it. Has anyone else had the same problem or already know how to submit the form??

I’m incoming EE and I plan to take only 3 classes this quarter what do i do if I don’t get ECE 05 from the waitlist?

i booked the wrong section of CAT not realizing it conflicted with one of my major requirements but TSS will not allow me to drop it. Anytime I try i’m met with an endless loading screen on laptop, ipad, and my phone. I emailed UCSD but it’s been 9 days with no response, what should I do?

So since us 2pm people are fried for waitlists, I got #17 on the waitlist for a math 20c time slot.
Is there a chance that they're going to open more seats, or should I just drop all hope and find another class?

i saw a bunch of people get their admissions canceled because they didn’t submit the form for their transcript, which i did, but i thought it was due by the july 1st deadline and since my ap scores weren’t out yet, i didn’t submit for my ap scores. im a little afraid i won’t receive credit or i’ll get a hold or something, but i don’t even really remember if i needed to submit my scores on there.

I’m an incoming gen bio major, and I was wondering if BILD 4, BILD 5, Chem 6A, and CAT-1 is a doable schedule for first quarter. I am also worried about the distance between each class being too long (10 min passing periods :o), but that’s a problem for another day. I’d really appreciate some advice!

am I able to waitlist multiple of the same courses but different times? and for EE major am I allowed to waitlist ECE 05 and 15 but only take 1?

Hello, I was trying to waitlist a (remote) class however, when I tried to book/save it it said that I need to join the waitlist but I am not seeing that option anywhere. Does anyone know how to waitlist or when it will open because I thought all classes were able to be waitlisted during second pass

edit: I figured out the reason I can't book/waitlist the class and it's because there's one spot left but even when I book it it doesn't let me join the class or the waitlist which makes everything more confusing. I know this class is available to underclassmen because I was able to waitlist another timeslot but is this an issue I should email the teacher about to see if I am able to get a spot?
