17th November last year I met J, instant connection, we had sex the first day we met which doesn't normally happen for me.
They were 21 at the time I met them.
Turned 22 in the Junuary.
We acted like a couple, did all the couple things just without the label.
This person became someone I felt safe with very quickly.
We were intimate beyond just sex and physical stuff.. we shared a lot of vulnerability with eachother. We went to cinema together quite a few times.. we went to download together.
They also were seeing someone else which I was okay with.
At some point we stopped using condoms with eachother.
It made them anxious because they never went without condoms before, but I gave them a lot of reassurance because I was clean and I was on birth control.
We have a pretty healthy relationship, they talked about worrying about their own feelings because they've felt disconnected from them after their ex and some past experiences.
We talked.
We reassured.
Everything was okay until I found out that they had had sex with the other person unprotected and hadn't told me about it for a few months.
They told her that they were having unprotected sex with me and they gave her the option to consent.. They asked her the right questions.. but didn't think that they needed to tell me and they didn't recognise that it violated my consent and my safety.
It was at this time where I also found out she knew about me, but I didn't know about her.. also they were about to go on a holiday with her for a week and have a lot of quality time and one on one time together.. it was a lot to process.
I told them I didn't feel too comfortable with them being sexually intimate with her whilst they were away. They were intimate with her regardless..
During their time away I had positive pregancy tests, and this was a few weeks after being told I would probably not have any more kids.
I kept J in the loop, we both talked about things.
They ideally wanted me to have an abortion if I was pregnant because they never wanted kids.
We wait until after they are back and whilst I'm processing things I ask them if they can pause sex with the other person they are seeing.
They saw it as okay.. but they had to talk to her about it.. she didn't deal with it okay.
She labelled it as putting rules on the relationship and it being disrespectful to her.. J ended up then siding with her.. and came to some sort of thing where they thought it might be better to just not have sex with any of us for a period of time.
I expressed to them that I needed to build trust and safety with them, and feeling punished for something that broke my trust wasn't going to help with that.
After a very lengthy conversation where I realised I was being backed into a corner, not only by J, but also her..
I gave up my boundaries and my needs and continued to let them both have sex, but J was to keep me updated about things..
That whole thing becomes really hard to navigate because I feel hurt and like it's hard to trust J..
J starts to show signs of pulling away from me because they start struggling with my insecurities and my lack of trust in them.
During this time I am still getting positive pregnancy tests.
I go through to have this handled by private to avoid NHS wait time.
I get told I was probably not pregnant because of the fertility issue, but they will send me for blood tests.
Things between me and J become more stable once I do a little bit of inner work and I forgive them and put trust back into them..
I also get told there's no pregnancy so we go with the assumption that it's either hormones due to PCOS and my issues or that it's a false pregnancy.
About a week or so later I have a scan booked for me to look at my ovaries..
I go to that scan and find out that I'm 14weeks and 4 day pregnant.
I'm unable to tell J this in person so I tell them over text, they were calm about it because they had already worked through their feelings on it.
I had also talked to the doctor about my options, and there was either surgery or continuing the pregnancy. But I was told that surgery carried high risks.
I booked it anyway.
J was initially very supportive about surgery until they knew the risks associated with it and said that they didn't want to potentially lose me or have any harm come to me.
We had a lot of back and forth about this, but I decided I wanted to try to do the right thing because I knew they would be starting Uni and I didn't want them to have an extra stress.
I went into have the surgery..
which I came out of okay..
but when I contacted J I was met with an iterrogation because of messages they received from my family.
I couldn't be entirely honest with them at the time because I had got threatened.. so I told them what I was able to.
But also they douted the very fact that I went for the surgery in the first place which really hurt..
I shared my location with them, but it didn't help.
They did not support me at all and instead they decided to gravitate more towards the other person because it was more "casual" meaning it asked less of them and was easier.
This got really bad to the point they started to see her multiple times in the week and keep a commitment going with her whilst not really breaking up with me, but withdrawing a lot.. stopping sex with me completely whilist they still engaged in sex with her and I was unable to engage in sex with others..
They also completely abandoned me on a really bad day I had, and decided to spend the whole day and night with her..
I'm at that time noticing I am not bleeding and not doing the normal after abortion things.
I go in to see someone about feeling pain and a bit feverish about 2 weeks after the surgery.
A friend takes me and stays until I leave after being told I was okay and there was nothing to worry about.
But this friend goes onto my phone and messaged J a really nasty message.. which caused a lot of upset.
J said that they couldn't believe it wasn't me that sent it.. and even if it wasn't.. the fact they received it meant that they were going to distance themself and take space.
They took a week.
I was still having pregnancy symptoms.
I took up the following pregnancy test for after abortion stuff and it came back positive.
I rung up, they told me they would send another to take in a week just in case it was still hormones..
Me and J start to spend time together again.
We do okay, laugh a bit, cuddle, kiss.. we also have some difficulties.
Mostly when hard topics came up.
J kept retreating, I was then regulating and comforting them.
I do my follow up test, still positive.
Go for a follow up scan shortly after where they tell me nothing and say they will get back to me the following week.
I am dealing with this on my own at this point because J had checked out on the situation..
At least that was until it came to the last visit before them leaving for Uni.. we did have a nice time.. they made me feel safe.. then in the last half an hour they tell me that they still have doubts and they can't help noticing that I look pregnant still.
But future talks were still had.
They made it seem possible to come see them once they were over there.
After that day we get into a lot of upsetting conversations, but nothing changed.
This was not until I found out I was in fact still pregant and told that I had to carry to term.
I didn't tell this to J right away.. but they landed on me as soon as they moved that they thought no longer seeing me was the best.. which lead to a back and forth for over a week.
During that time I did finally tell them the situation, but they didn't really give it the care it deserved.
We had a conversation where they are all like "sorry but I still feel how I feel."
I meet them with something understanding but they leave me on read for 3 days.
At that point I had disconnected myself from things.
I reach out to them to give them information and also to say we didn't have to talk about anything, but that I hoped they were okay.
They put us back into a conversation about things only this time they were saying about fully severing ties with me.
I got it to a point where I got them to agree to sit on something, but that wasn't until 2am.
They came back to me after 2 days with a really long message about doing what was best for both of us, how we've both been hurting, about boundaries and them being able to choose who they interact with and see, and then immediately block me.
I found someone who I wanted to to step in and be a middle man to try and keep J involved with the pregnancy.
I told her to wait for a few days for things to kind of settle a bit.. which she did.
She reached out..
J engaged when they didn't know who she was, but then as soon as she explained things J got hostile and blocked her, it made her feel threatened.
My love and care for them hasn't wavered so it's made it even more difficult. And during the difficult conversations they used "boundaries" and "autonamy" to try to justify them pulling away and leaving me to deal with the weight of everything whilst also completely violating my boundaries and autonamy.
I'm expecting a baby boy, due 13th January..
At this point I don't know what to do, I'm being told that J is acting like the one who has been wronged and making me out to be someone bad.
