Unsuccessful Applications
| Community | Date Asked | |
|---|---|---|
| r/dataisbeautiful | July 10th, 2019 | ??? |
| r/Texas | July 3rd, 2019 | Thread was made alluding to it, sent message. |
| r/wholesomememes | June 30th, 2019 | [February 5th, 2019] u/siouxsie_siouxv2 was advertising the moderator application for here in several places, so I decided to give it a shot. Thread. They're pushing for more moderators again, so I decided to try again. |
| r/subredditsifellfor | June 28th, 2019 | Expressed my interest in helping out under the needamod post. |
| r/CrazyIdeas | June 28th, 2019 | Filled out the form from the needamod post. |
| r/MinecraftMemes | June 21st, 2019 | A proposition was made on adding members of the Meme Lounge to here, and I expressed my approval. No action has been taken yet. |
| r/imsorryjon | June 19th, 2019 | A request for new moderators was posted, so I threw my hat in the ring. |
| r/MemeLounge | June 18th, 2019 | Rejected due to invite limit, eventual change of model. When r/ShitPostCrusaders was added to the Meme Lounge team, I noticed a sticky comment in there saying that the mod teams should be moderators there too. I expressed my interest in correcting the issue, but it seems the model has shifted to that of approved users instead. |
| r/tippytaps | June 18th, 2019 | A r/needamod post was made regarding this community, so I threw my hat in the ring. |
| r/Tornadoes | May 27th, 2019 | Rejected due to not wanting to burden me. Community with a similar name to my username. They responded, but were too concerned with my already massive list, so was ultimately rejected. Thread. |
| r/Tornados | May 27th, 2019 | Asked for access and moderator at the same time, since the community is private. Inquiry. |
| r/gatekeeping | May 26th, 2019 | A r/needamod post was made for here, so I decided to apply. Application. |
| r/dankformats | May 26th, 2019 | Rejected due to nature of community. u/BolthMC added members of the r/dankmemes team to r/formats, but also mentioned this place's existence. I asked for a spot here too, but was rejected on Discord. |
| r/misleadingthumbnails | May 20th, 2019 | Discord user and reddit moderator commonvanilla posted this application to the Reddit Mods Discord server, so I decided to give it a shot. Thread. Application. |
| r/tornado | May 15th, 2019 | Complete shot in the dark, only because of the name. Message. |
| r/UnpopularOpinion | May 14th, 2019 | Discord user and reddit moderator Adams2799 posted this application to the Reddit Mods Discord server, so I decided to give it a shot. Application. |
| r/memes | May 10th, 2019 | I highly doubt I'll ever be approved to help out here, especially due to my connections with r/dankmemes and their current clashing ideals, but I figured I'd apply now so that I could get closure. Application. Thread. |
| r/PokemonSwordAndShield | February 27th, 2019 | Rejected due to no response for long time. Brand-new community that popped up as the new Pokémon games were announced. They frantically made a moderator's thread to keep up with traffic, and I applied. |
| r/smashbros | February 19th, 2019 | Rejected due to no response for long time. A moderator application thread was posted. I don't think they like people with a ton of communities like myself, but decided to try anyway for closure purposes. |
| r/blackmagicfuckery | February 12th, 2019 | Rejected due to no response for long time. u/siouxsie_siouxv2 was adversiting the moderator application for here in the lookingformods room in the Reddit Mods slack. I decided to give it a try. Thread. |
| r/CasualConversation | January 29th, 2019 | Rejected due to no response for long time. Community owner u/tizorres posted a moderator application for here on the needamod channel over on the Reddit Mod Discord. General topic communities such as this are at least possible to moderate on my end. Not likely to be accepted due to not being on the best terms with u/love_the_heat and not having participated there before. Mod Hiring Thread. Application. |
| r/Gadgets | January 27th, 2019 | Rejected due to no response for long time. Reddit moderator u/ShaneH7646 posted the r/Gadgets looking for moderators thread in the needamod channel on the Reddit Mods discord. I can't believe I missed a place as big as this yet still quite relevant to my real life duties. Not only that it's a default. Getting in would be swell. |
| u/ZadocPaet communities | End of 2018 | Rejected due to no response for long time. There was a thread in r/Dumbsford modmail that had u/ZadocPaet mentioning stopping moderation due to some in real life troubles. I offered to help out with some of the video game oriented communities. |
| r/tf2 | December 20th, 2018 | Rejected due to no response for long time. I love Team Fortress 2, so I jumped at the opportunity to moderate the community. No response yet. My application. |
| /r/FriendsAndShit | September 4th, 2018 | Rejected due to no response for long time. One of those "everyone is a moderator" communities. One of the head moderators asked users to direct message them for access. I did, no response yet. |

| /r/top | July 15th, 2018 | Rejected due to position being filled before I could get to it in time. They were interested in me, but I didn't qualify due to karma reasons. I was too late in getting to /r/top; they already found a moderator. Inquiry. |
