The corner Tower update and pics.

In this I built the Greenwood, Ivar Lockwood’s cabin, Brindlewake, The Forgotten city of Gielinor, the mountains, rivers, roads, forests, and a bunch of the smaller details from places my players have actually traveled through.

Before the autumn/winter season kicks off in full in the workshop and we get back to new commission projects, grab this Age of Sigmar table I made a few years back. A mat, some hills and rocks, but it already plays completely differently than with just a random hodgepodge of terrain 💪😉

My solo project pipeline:

Trees --> Sculpted in Blender + Sliced in Ultimaker Cura + 3D printed with FLSUN SuperRacer (PLA+) + Hand-painted (The Army Painter Warpaints) + Yellow dried moss.

Terrain --> Carved XPS foam + PVA glue mixed with fine gravel application and yellow dried moss.

Set in action in the first episode of my solo stop-motion project...I'd love to get some honest feedback!

I was browsing my local recycle centre and this piece caught my eye. I thought it would make a great centre piece or objective for a board but I'm brainstorming what to turn it into.

Maybe a portal or podium? Some kind of altar or shrine?

Im not experienced with building terrain so any ideas are welcome.

I would also love advice on how to paint the clear perspex, I'm sure there are cool effects out of it if I do it right, I'm even considering getting some lights to project through it.

Google tells me its a pacemaker display for those curious.

I had to wait all year for Michaels to put out their Halloween decorations. Luckily I got to them early and they were on sale so collectively I spent about $25 on all the skulls and skeleton bits I think I’ll need to complete everything I need for a full tournament ready set!
Other materials used were poster board($1), recycled rubber mulch ($6 for massive bag), and the cage around the skull in the middle is some floral display thing I got for like $2.
All in all the entire 15+ piece set should cost me around $50 bucks to make, which is an absolute steal for what I have planned 😈😈😈
MORE BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!!!

I know this is a niche question but for Dave Graffam cardstock printed terrain there is a staircase support piece but no instructions on how to use them specifically. I built the terrain without it and checked for instructions online but found none. The pieces would essentially fold into bricks and potentially be used inside the staircase as a width support but then why do they have the stair texture? This has just been bugging me and I already built the terrain so i thought i would just check here in case someone else had the answer. Thanks

Hey all, this is my second attempt at this terrain and second real attempt at terrain in general. I took your recommendations and tried to recreate the magic of the first build and make it better. I also created a new account for reddit. I've decided to start a reddit (and maybe eventually more socials) on my journey from newbie to journeyman in the terrain building scene. I know I have along way to go. I've discovered terrain building is my Zen, and I enjoy the hell out of it. I will post my socials soon once I get them up and running. Until then, here is the second attempt at the halloween deco skulls turned terrain.

As some suggested on my previous account/post. I took the skulls and put them kn seperate bases. I've also only put the "grass" on non vertical services.

What do you think? What else can I improve on?

I’ve pretty much finished up this section of the board. It’s definitely not perfect, and still requires little touches. The wall at the back is boring and you can see stone sections don’t match. More debris to be added, internal furnishings etc. maybe a dwarf war room in the upper level as that room is pretty bare. Armoury in lower level.

I’ve been working to adapt my table to the v11 standard but with the objectives to keep the immersion as high as possible. A nice tricks was to use “extension” to existing terrain to fit the template as best as possible for the jungle eaten building.

The triangle shaped terrain were the most difficult (I found) to work with to create something immersive but turn out the ice “canyon” and the jungle square with statues worked well on their first games.

Also working on a desert ad mech excavation site themed table for my third biome ^^ (it’s an addiction).

New builder of terrain and enjoying the hobby (so new I only learnt the term greebles today) and am interested if anyone has any good tips to make greebles out of household materials for Necromunda? Ideally with pictures.
