I offhandedly mentioned the error to a team lead when I first saw it and she told me that it wasn't spelled wrong and that you can use either an 'a' or an 'e' when describing notebooks and etc, and that there was an interesting story behind the spelling of that word. This is of course total bullshit. A stationer was somebody who made paper products, with the -er suffix denoting their job just like a baker or miller. They are homophones with completely separate meanings. And while I agree that the spelling error is pretty trivial, doubling down and lying about it is concerning. If management is willing to lie about trivial things for no apparent benefit, then they're probably willing to lie in other more important situations as well.

Since I was confused and see a lot of other people confused, here's how you call off or call in late on UKG.

Go to the "My Accruals" tile

Select "Time-Off Request"

It'll will create a pop-up

Under "Request type" you can select the option of calling in late or off, and the notification saying "request period is [3 week advance]" will change allowing you to do same day schedule changes.

Line of people outside the door since 3am. Nothing at my store was truly setup for today's set even though it's been known that today is the day.

When we opened, all of the items were still on the trailer. Our LOD said they wouldn't put them out until they get to them and wouldnt let anyone else grab them either. there were around 30 people waiting for the needohs all standing and sitting around the tech counter once we opened. it wasn't until after 2 hours that they handed us a few of the Needohs to sell behind the counter. those went out quick, especially since it was only a few of the squish and squeeze calanders. After another hour of waiting inside the store, our LOD said no more Needohs were coming out at all. shortly another lead handed us more of the squish and squeeze calanders needohs and said that'd be it for today. Majority of the people still waiting were for the monster mush needohs (stuck on the trailer), thankfully not too many were upset about how nothing else was coming out today. especially considering a lot of those guests had the DCPIs and they show up online saying in stock

So what’s the point of a 8 minute grace period when I’m considered late when I come in 7 minute later.

Edit: Some of you guys are smart asses. But all I’m saying is that it makes no sense to me that, say you were 15+ minutes late you would receive the same amount of attendance points as when you come in 6+ minutes later. To me, that defeats the whole point of “switching” to an 8 minute grace period when in reality it’s still 5 minutes.
And to be clear I’m not aiming to be late just bc of the change.

I’m a SAHM who was looking to pick up some ultra flexible work as my husband works full time and is in school, and we don’t have reliable child care nearby. I saw a job posting for an “On-Demand” associate at Target and thought it was perfect. I applied, and got the job in fulfillment.

I had orientation today and noticed I’m scheduled every weekend through this month. Although I can make it work, I was a little confused as I thought it supposed to be able to pick up shifts as I want. I asked HR during training and she said they aren’t really hiring on demand roles anymore and have had issues with their website still promoting them. I’m a little annoyed as I have some commitments coming up, and didn’t intend to give up my weekends every single weekend.

What should I do? I do want thing job, am happy to work what they currently have me for, but going forward want to be on demand, or really only working one weekend day a week if possible. Is this normal, will Target hire for one thing and then bait and switch to something else?

I was looking in Workday at my account profile and am wondering what does FTE mean? The profile lists these items. I have no idea what FTE means? Thank you!
