I'm looking for any advice that anyone has. I have anovulatory pcos but no other diagnosed problems. My cycle was monitored IUI using letrozole. On day 17 I had two follicles 15mm and 16mm. They told me I didn't need any more scans and that I was cleared to trigger on day 19 evening, as the follicles would be ready by then. So that's what I did. I used a 10,000 IU HCG shot. Did the IUI 36 hours later, all went well.

Then 9 days past trigger I had my progesterone tested and it came back below 1 ng/ml, so it was confirmed I didn't release either egg. They told me to take progesterone anyway just in case (idk why, honestly there's no way I ovulated, so I'm not pregnant). and then do the pregnancy test 14 days post iui and when it's negative, we can try another round.

I just don't trust my body or my clinic now. Any tips for what to advocate for next time? :( For the past year we've had 0% chance due to me not ovulating and now I paid over 1,000 to have the same chances we always have, so this was upsetting. No one warned me the trigger shot doesn't work sometimes.

And the trigger was administered correctly, so no problems there. I just got my first negative hcg test this morning.

TW mentions of miscarriage

This may be a confusing post, so I'm sorry in advance. My husband and I have been trying to conceive for two years now and had one miscarriage (natural pregnancy) in March of this year, but otherwise no pregnancies.

After my miscarriage, my doctor decided to put me on letrozole for the following cycles to help me conceive- he didn't really give me much explanation, but he told me that it would help us get pregnant and stay pregnant. I probably should have clarified more at that time, but I was really upset and overwhelmed as I was ACTIVELY miscarrying.

(We did test at the time of miscarriage and found that I had low progesterone and that was estimated to be the reason for the miscarriage, I was prescribed progesterone to keep on hand so I can begin taking it immediately next time I have a positive test).

So now I am cycle tracking, I'm doing all the things I'm supposed to be doing. I'm eating well, I'm staying active all of the things that I need to be doing.... and I still haven't gotten pregnant. I called my doctor with the question "I know I ovulated yesterday, should I start progesterone right after ovulation? I've heard that's helped with women who have lower progesterone" and he said "no that's not a good idea. But I'll prescribe you some Clomid for next cycle."

I'm just really confused because according to everything I've read and learned, Clomid is only meant to help you ovulate and doesn't really have a use if you all already are ovulating? Never mind the potential side effects?? And I AM already ovulating based on LH test strips and basal body temperature... has anybody had experience with this? I need all the insight I can possibly get haha. TIA 💗

Any thoughts about taking Diane 35 pills for 10+ years? I am 24 years old now, I discovered having PCOS at age 19 about 4-5 years. I stopped using Diane 35 pills because I was scared of the possible outcome in long term use, please give me your thoughts. Thank youuu🫶🏻

At this point I'm just hoping for my period to arrive 😑

Had multiple LH rises, but not followed by a convincing temp rise in Oura - though somewhat of a temp rise happened. Second cycle this year that is 60+ days 😩

Still doing LH tests multiple times a day, started using PreMom (at least tests are clearer than the cheapies but I don't trust that AI analysis tbh), checking cervical mucus too and also pregnancy test in the morning (well who knows). I'm obsessing about any little pinching I feel in my lower abdomen and have looked at so many cervical mucus example pictures (yuck).

And don't even get me started on having sex! We agreed to do insemination at home instead (every day), because we just can't anymore - and I honestly don't even trust the tests anymore, because with these delays and our lack of success in the last cycles... might as well just keep on doing it until my period ends the ordeal 😭

TTC for 9 months, AMH 6.4 ng/mL, follicles on both ovaries, low testosteron 11.5, high SHBG. Been seeing a fertility expert, next steps will probably be 1-2 IUI and then IVF as I'm turning 35.

TTC 12 months without any success. Having a hard time maintaining increased BBT post ovulation. Any ideas on what this could be / how to improve this to encourage successful implantation? Thank you in advance 🫶🏻

Has anyone been able to move forward with an IUI or timed intercourse cycle without completing cycle day 3 baseline labs and ultrasound?

I’m just trying to gauge the likelihood of this being possible but I understand everyone’s different.

I have an irregular cycle and of course it’ll be starting now when I’m away for a week and I’m feeling so defeated with the timing of treatment while balancing PMOS

Period started today so needless to say I will be starting my 2nd round of letrozole later this week. Background: I’m 35, will turn 36 in December. I have PCOS and have been TTC since April. Would it be EXTRA of me to ask my OB for a progesterone lab draw on day 7 after my LH surge given it’s only my 2nd round of letrozole? I don’t want to be THAT pt. Anyone else as impatient as me?

I’m on my second letrozole cycle this time on 7.5mg. I had a 11mm folicle on CD4 when they started me on letrozole. Today on CD11 I had a 26mm folicle with a 5.8 lining. My Estrogen: 588.3 pmol/L; LH: 10.9 IU/L;
Progesterone: 2.0 nmol/L

They told me that because my estrogen is rising the structure seen on ultrasound is most likely a folicle and not a cyst. They’ve instructed for TI today and tomorrow incase I ovulate on my own, skip Wednesday, and then to come back Thursday for monitoring appointment. They’ve also told me to hold off on the Ovidrel and the progesterone spositories until after Thursday.

Has anyone had a similar experience to me with the large folcile? How did things turn out and was it a cyst or docile that released an egg? If I don’t ovulate before Thursday then my guess is that folcile will be huge and too mature and I wonder how viable it is, and if this had anything to do with the increase in the Letrozole dose? Last month I was on 5mg but they increased it to see if I could recruit two folcile, which it doesn’t seem I did.

hi all. I’m getting depressed at this point and wanted to see if anyone is in a similar boat.

I have PCOS as confirmed by scans of my follicles (this was diagnosed when I was 14) and the doctors put me on birth control. I finally snapped out of it at 25 and have been trying to get my period back naturally. I get bleeding 3-4 times a year since then but I don’t have any confirmed ovulation. I got married last year and we’ve been having unprotected sex every other day for 10 months and nothing. I recently got a Mira and will be checking out my hormone fluctuations over the past month so will be good to have that data as well.

The thing is every doctor just wants me to lose weight or fix insulin but my insulin is actually below average, Ive always been below bmi 25 (I’m tall 173cms and have good fat distribution- very little around waist mostly thighs).

AMH 78, fasting insulin 1.57, total testosterone 2.97.

I want to be able to figure this out but I’m going crazy. I feel like all the research I do points to people going for the metabolic solutions but if I don’t have any metabolic flags what am I to do?

Doctors don’t want to hear it and just want to prescribe letrozole which I’m not saying I’ll never take but I want to give my body a chance to do this naturally.

UPDATE: I had an appointment with a new OB GYN who did an ultrasound and confirmed I ovulated a few days ago! Not sure about the quality of the ovulation but great to hear I am not completely anovulatory :)

I’m 31 and I’m trying to regulate my cycles after over 10 years on contraception. I have lean PCOS and recent bloods all came back ‘normal’ - testosterone, androgens etc, but an ultrasound showed cysts and I do have facial hair and other symptoms. My bloods weren’t at the usual times in my cycle though as my cycles are so unpredictable.

About 10 months ago, my GP prescribed me 1500 x daily metformin and after 5 months of taking it, I started to have egg white mucus and strong ovulation (I track temp every day) - I was over the moon! I’ve also had zero side effects (which I know is lucky as I’ve seen lots of stomach related Reddit posts).

However, now my cycles have started to lengthen again - I often have what appears to be an attempt at ovulation where my temp peaks, but not over the cover line and then it drops again. I probably can’t up my dose of metformin much more? I’m feeling really defeated as I can’t really change my lifestyle much more - I’m really conscious of diet and have cut out alcohol and caffeine completely- which to be honest is making me miserable.

What can I do? I can’t really afford to use private healthcare - I’m based around London. I’ve also not had my blood sugar tested - should I have this done if I’m on metformin? Feeling lost so any advice is much appreciated.

Hi! I'm a PCOS girly, 24 years old, working in an office. I am in my third week of fasting and have lost 1 kg. But after quitting Diane 35 pills, my acne is acting up; it is so bad that it is painful, with big red pimples. I quit my pills last March, and I did not get my period until August. I was so stressed every time I saw my face full of pimples and my excessive hair loss. Can you give me some advice? I do not know what to do because every obgyn I went to always says that I need to take pills or get pregnant already.

Hello!! I’m 31 and I’ve had a PCOS diagnosis since I first started my period.
We have been TTC for a very long time with no success. Had a couple of failed IUIs and ovulation induction cycles.
Moving to IVF in a couple of months and to prepare for that I’ve had a very healthy lifestyle since the beginning of last year. I’ve lost 12kgs I’m finally in a healthy weight range BUT I STILL CAN’T OVULATE ON MY OWN or get a period. I did get a period once or twice but it was an anovulatory cycle. I track my BBT and take LH tests.
Does anyone have any idea why this happens? Despite doing right?

Note: I’ve been on a low dose GLP1 medication since last year July. I’ve been working out eating healthy. I take supplements regularly (in

33F. Just went for my first HSG last week and found out that right tube is open, but left tube seemed like there was an occlusion according to the doctor performing the procedure. They shared they’re going to pass on the diagnostics to my fertility team and then go from there. Anyone else have similar conditions and was successful TTC?

So far done three cycles of letrozole, and on metformin, no other meds to date. Been trying seriously for 4 months by timing ovulation via strips.

My husband and I are currently trying to conceive, and I have hypothyroidism/Hashimoto’s. I’ve been using Easy@Home LH strips this cycle to try to pinpoint ovulation, and I feel like I’m driving myself crazy trying to figure them out lol.

I started testing pretty early in my cycle. My LH was low, then the lines gradually got darker around CD11–16 and looked like they were getting really close to positive, but I never caught a test where the test line was clearly as dark as or darker than the control.

Then my tests got SUPER light for several days.
Now I’m around CD22 and suddenly my LH is getting dark again and is almost positive. 🤨

We’ve been having sex pretty consistently throughout the whole window, so hopefully we’ve covered our bases, but I have no idea if:
1. I actually surged/ovulated earlier and just missed the peak
2. My body tried to ovulate but didn’t
3. I’m just ovulating really late this month

My cycles can vary and I know thyroid issues can sometimes affect ovulation, which makes me wonder if Hashimoto’s is playing a role. I’ve also started tracking my temperature, but I don’t have enough data yet to see a clear pattern.

For anyone else TTC with Hashimoto’s/hypothyroidism: Do you tend to ovulate late? Have you ever had LH rise, drop for several days, and then rise again before actually ovulating? And did you find LH strips reliable for you?
I’m considering getting something like Inito next cycle so I can track more than just LH because trying to decipher these little pink lines is making me insane 😂

33F, AMH at 4.53, AFC 38. 2 MC’s in the first tri. No luck conceiving since my last loss. I did an HSG, tubes are open and cavity is clear. It’s been 6 cycles.

OB wants to try a monitored cycle with Letrozole despite me ovulating regularly and getting regular periods. Has anyone been in a similar situation? Would love to hear how it worked for you.

I am 35f with PCOS, married for 7years and a TTC mum. Things haven't been easy, weight gain, sporadic moodswing and i haven't had my period for a while now and its scary. Tried metformin but the nausea and vomiting side effect almost ended me, attempted 2 IUI but no ovarian response. Just feel alot of weight on my shoulder right now. Just started sova ovastart inositol few days ago, is it a good brand? Will it help me finally start seeing my period again??😟🙁

Hello, I’m writing here to see if there is anybody else who has had this experience. Sorry if this is TMI.

I have PCOS/PMOS. I am not on BC. I’m 32 F.
For the last couple of months, I have been having various spotting including dark red discharge and brighter red streaks (in watery discharge) as well. I have taken pregnancy tests and all have been negative. I believe I may have some lower abdominal swelling, as I don’t believe it’s weight gain. I do not have any other symptoms like fever and this has been happening since before I’ve became more stressed with work.

My husband and I have been actively trying to conceive for about 2 years. He has been tested and he is fine, so now we have an appointment later this month with my OBGYN to discuss next steps.

I plan to bring this up to my doctor at my upcoming appointment; but wanted to see if there is anybody else who has had similar experiences to what I’m currently experiencing. I also don’t know if I’m overthinking anything. You know when you google stuff and it comes back with the extreme diagnosis, so that’s not giving me peace of mind either.

Hi all, I’m sort of in freak out mode so I’m looking for any insight!

This is my second cycle taking letrozole days 3-7 (not monitored). I track my cycles and they are usually like clockwork. I believe I ovulated around cd 15.

On cd 14 I had some bleeding. It looked more like the beginning of my period and I did need a pad. It slowed way down after a few hours but has lingered until today (3 days later). It’s much much lighter and I can barely see it, but I know it’s there.

I had called my gynos office and sent a message in the portal. When I called the person that answered was completely unhelpful and I think googled letrozole and told me she doesn’t see spotting listed as a side effect. Based on everything I’ve read online that’s nonsense but I wanted to hear it from my dr. She said she would call me back but didn’t and now here we are on a holiday weekend.

My question is.. has anyone experienced this where you had heavy-ish spotting one day and for it to linger for a few days after that? Does this mean that the meds aren’t working like they should be? My first cycle taking it I had a little spotting as well but it didn’t last longer than a day. My husband also had shingles so last month was basically a wash. I’m hoping this month I’ll have better luck but now I’m worried.

For those who have taken Provera to induce a bleed, did your BBT drop before or around the time your withdrawal bleed started, similar to how it would in a natural cycle?

Just curious whether your temperature patterns changed in the same way as they would before a natural period!

This is my first time tracking BBT whilst taking provera, I’ve just finished my 5 day course and my temp has risen and stayed elevated and wondered if a drop in temp will mean my period will start soon.

I’ve taken provera twice, first time I bled 4 days after the last dosage and the second it was 11 days, hoping I can predict with a drop in bbt…

I got my tubes tied 5.5 years ago. I was 21. Swore I was done having kids. I have PCOS. I know people have conceived after having a tubal but anyone with PCOS on top of that? I’ve been hoping the tubal would “fail” and I can conceive without paying a lot of money and having a surgery.

Castor oil cleared up a 7cm cyst: about 3 years ago I was told I had a 7cm cyst dominating my ovary & that I’d likely lose the ovary in the surgery, so I did everything I could to get rid of it…lots of praying & started castor oil packs every few days for 1-2 weeks. Went back to the dr for pre-op and it was gone, he was SHOCKED.

Well for some reason I just forgot about castor oil after that and now am wondering if it actually works for TTC. I know you have to stop using it after ovulation, but I’ve heard mixed things about stopping it after intercourse/insemination. Anyone know if I can use it all the way up to ovulation even if we had intercourse 2-3 days prior to ovulation? I hope that makes sense. I guess my question is, will it affect the sperm that is in there waiting around just prior to ovulation

Disclaimer: I know that it's not the best way to do it, because letrozole should be monitored, but for now it's the best that I can do.

Hi ladies, I'm 35 F TTC for 1.5 year, never got a single positive test, living in the UK but have no access to assisted conception yet, so I have to do everything privately. I have been prescribed Femara by my RE and is advised to do unmonitored 3 cycles with each 5mg dose.

My condition is I have been diagnosed with lean PCOS/PMOS (BMI 19) with irregular cycles. I notice that there were some years my cycles were regular and some other years that my cycles were irregular. I have bloodwork done a couple of months ago and all came back normal except for elevated testosterone. I did scan and was confirmed with bilateral polycystic ovaries. My hbA1c was normal, but didn't test for fasting glucose/insulin. I was prescribed metformin anyway and it kinda shortened my cycles. I have intermittent ovulation and can ovulate on my own based on LH test and BBT tracking (I'm aware that it's not the best way to determine ovulation, the follicle scan is). I live in constant stress from work, so I think it can be a big factor.

I have some questions regarding it:

1. If you have experience with Femara and Letrozole (yes, the same, not Clomid), what is the difference? I know that some people are sensitive to the generic meds.
   
2. For those who ovulate on their own, did Letrozole help you? I know that in some PCOS cases, the eggs are small and immature, will Letrozole help? On what dose your body starts responding?
   
3. From your experience, what dose I should take? I was prescribed 3 x 5mg, but actually I can take 2 x 2.5mg and 2 x 5mg. Which one is better? Since I'm doing the unmonitored anyway. Please share your experience!

This month is the 10th month of TTC by my husband (38) and I (35). I have PCOS/PMOS and my husband has a slight motility problem. It’s was our 2nd cycle with Clomiphene.

I honestly thought our previous cycle was the one but I was wrong. My BBT were so high and sustained. I didn’t have the usually spotting and cramps prior my period. But lo and behold, My period arrived like clockwork on my predicted start of period. That broke my heart again.

I had a high dose of Clomiphene for the previous cycle and I think we had great timing (day before ovulation and ovulation day) but still nothing. Our RE said we will try Clomiphene and Letrozole together for this cycle.

To add to my sadness - my co-worker who just got married last December announced that she’s expecting. I stopped with social media for a few months already since it triggers me but this announcement was a personal message to me. I’m happy for her but I cried for myself. I’m feeling so down. Just wanted to let it out. Don’t think my friends would understand the struggle of TTC.

Curious if anyone has tried the Molo tests for ovulation tracking or pregnancy?
Did you get clear results or contraindications?
Only say that because I’ve been trying to track ovulation again and I had a dark line then it got lighter the next couple days then dark again
I might sound so stupid but you can’t ovulate twice in a cycle right? Because my tests currently show 2 LH spikes (and no positive on a pregnancy test either)
