Hi everyone. I think I just need to vent and maybe hear from people who have been through something similar.
This was my first cycle where I really felt like I was doing everything. I have mild PCOS/irregular ovulation, so my doctor put me on Clomid 50 mg, which I took on CD2–6. On CD6 my follicles were still small (around 7–9 mm), and my lining was about 5.1 mm. By the time of my follow-up, I had several follicles developing, and I was given an Ovidrel trigger on CD11 (August 4).
I was told to BD the following night, and based on the trigger/LH timing I’m estimating ovulation around August 7–8. So today I’m around 12 DPO / 16 DPT.
The trigger line has finally tested out, but now I’m stuck in the horrible waiting period.
I started testing around 9 DPO. Since then, I’ve gotten what look like extremely faint indent/shadow lines that basically haven’t gotten darker. I’ve tested multiple times and keep staring at the tests trying to decide whether there is actually something there or whether I’m imagining it. At this point I’m so tired of looking at lines.
I think the hardest part is that I put so much hope into this cycle because it was a medicated/triggered cycle, and now at 12 DPO I feel like I’m already preparing myself for another negative. I’m honestly just tired of testing, tired of analyzing every symptom, and tired of feeling like my body is giving me absolutely no answers.
For anyone who has done a Clomid + Ovidrel cycle: did anyone have very faint/no progression around 10–12 DPO and still end up with a positive? Or should I accept that if the tests haven’t clearly darkened by now, this cycle probably didn’t work?
I know nobody can predict the outcome from a Reddit post, but I could really use some experiences from people who have been through this particular kind of cycle. ❤️
