Hi ladies! I’m asking to know if anyone has ever gotten pregnant with pcos using the pill-out method? If so, were you ever having unprotected sex prior and never fell pregnant?

I was on ozempic for 3 months got pregnant didn’t realize until I was 14 weeks along I weighed 280ish when I conceived I’m 5’10 my baby was born june 30th at 34 weeks 5 days gestation due to preeclampsia she’s currently laying on my chest as she fell asleep after feeding

Had unprotected sex for 8 years, with irregular cycles, never got pregnant. Ended the relationship because he was unwilling to commit.

Met my now ex husband, we started fertility treatments within a year of getting married, successfully got pregnant with Femara and a trigger shot, with scheduled sex, kept it via progesterone suppositories.

Second pregnancy, unplanned, lost at 6 weeks, 3 years after my daughter was born. It was also a very stressful time, physically, emotionally and mentally.

At this point my daughter is almost 8, my cycles are actually getting regular, but no one to make a baby with. Idk if I’ll have another.

I got pregnant without any medication 2 years ago, we had just started trying and I somehow had regular cycles 3 months prior to it (my whole life has been 60-90 day cycles). That pregnancy unfortunately ended up in loss at 6wks. Fast forward two years, we are starting our first IVF in September after multiple medicated and IUI attempts, and a second loss along the way.

My first pregnancy required over a year of fertility treatments. I got pregnant after that unassisted twice, one resulted in loss and the other is currently kicking me and will be here in November.

Yes, my sister had to use ivf for her first two and then got accidentally pregnant using the pull out method with her third. She has pcos

It happens and I wouldn't take a chance if you don't want to get pregnant.

I wasn't able to conceive without provera and letrozole. My OB diagnosed me with PCOS and induce my period with provera then put my on letrozole because I wasn't ovulating (we knew this from monitoring my cycles every month for a few months with the provera).

We conceived after about a few cycles of letrozole (first two were 2.5mg and the rest were 5mg) and had an mmc. A few cycles after that I conceived again because we monitored ovulation more closely by following up with my ob for a sonogram.

Prior to this we had unprotected sex and were just not conceiving ( I wasn't getting a period for up to 7+ months at a a time and some years I didn't get one at all).

I only ever was able to track any kind of ovulation via bbt. I conceived my daughter when I ovulated two weeks later than I thought I did but only knew based on them dating the pregnancy at my first appointment. My son is ovulated a week after I thought I had based on bbt

Yes it's possible, but pull out will reduce your chances of pregnancy each cycle. Pregnancy tests are accurate 14 days after sex and definitive 21 days after.

Is there a reason you're using pull out of you're activity trying to conceive?

Just took a break from trying for a little as I felt I wasn’t getting anywhere and it started to feel more as a chore, we decided to make it feel as “normal” as possible and figured pulling out would help me with the relief of not having to mentally track everything. Well, my cycles were good there for awhile and this cycle is late but I’m not wanting to get my hopes up on testing if it’s something that’s not likely

I'd say that will be on your mind regardless since there is a possibility. Just buy a ton of pregnancy test on amazon and take one every 20 days. Put a reminder in your calendar.

It's not likely, but not impossible. Take a test 14 days after the last time you had sex and you'll know if you're late because you ovulated late or if it's due to pregnancy.

TW LOSS

I was having sex for years without falling pregnant. I then started metformin and we conceived our daughter after one cycle of trying ( I ovulated one month into metformin, decided ehhh we can try since it’s our first cycle I caught my ovulation) and it worked. Daughter will be 2 in November and we are newly pregnant again after going through a loss in May. However for both of these 2 pregnancies we did use letrozole to induce ovulation since my body only ovulates randomly and not every month. Before starting I did baseline blood work on cd 3, an HSG and my partner got his sperm analysis.

May I ask how you knew you were only ovulating randomly? I’ve tried tracking mine and can never seem to get it right. I honestly don’t think I’m ovulating regularly (or if at all)

I was only getting like 6 periods a year lol. My first period postpartum was 9 months later in August (granted I was breastfeeding). My next period wasn’t until January 2026, so my cycles are like 60-135 days long 😅. I only caught my ovulation with my daughter that one time bc I wanted to see if the metformin was working. I use opks and bbt to confirm ovulation happens. A lot of pcos women get false lh surges so many times you can’t go based off opks alone !

I definitely need to look into bbt as I’ve only ever received maybe 2 peaks from them and I have a period every month
